  1. Yeah was gonna say the same, reads like he'll be doing both.
  2. Exactly - and Brereton hasnt lived up to the hype when he first came here. Under Tony we need a decent centre forward which will cost us money. Or we could get rid for 2mill and get atleast one of Ben or Gallagher firing them in under a different manager
  3. Would a different manager not get more out of the likes of brereton, rothwell, gallagher and play anyone but beno at Lb. I feel like a different manager playing a different system, getting the most out the current squad round pegs in round holes etc. would need to make far fewer signings than tony would in order to get a bit of excitement back in the fans. That in itself is worth the 2m it might cost to sack him.
  4. I'd take him as well. Theres a good keeper in there. If hes willing to drop down to the championship there'll be competition for him and you know the snails pace we operate at in the transfer market.
  5. This years holiday is next years holiday leaving this year holiday fund free to spend on 2 months of scrubbing piss out the carpet and being bitten.
  6. Luton wont be a dead rubber game. We'll turn up to the next three games and get ourselves into a good position, final game of the season will be must win to get in the play offs and we'll lose it miserably.
  7. Good news after cancelling our holiday this year we decided to get a puppy. Lal pup was born this weekend and can be picked up in 8 weeks!
  8. The initial foul was nothing and not worth a red, there was a question of whether there was a stamp as he walked away, they looked at it for ages on Sky sports news but it was obscured because of the thing that swooshes across the screen at the end of a replay (I dont know the technical term) maybe tony saw something real time that we couldn't see on the cameras?
  9. Everybody loved mowbray when he was bought in (unless I'm miss remembering?) he was a breath of fresh air after Coyle and brought a degree of stability to the club. We were unlucky not to stay up that season and he bounced us straight back up. It's only since our return to the championship that he's frustrated and failed to kick on properly. I'm disappointed and frustrated with the club at the moment but we're still likely to finish top 10, I dont think for a second coyle would have got us anywhere near that. I think Tony's time is up but to suggest Coyle is a better choice I think is a bit far fetched.
  10. It doesnt hurt anymore when we lose and it doesnt feel that good when we win either cos you know it ultimately counts for nothing because theres a performance like this waiting round the corner. Hypothetically we could win our next games against leeds, cardiff and west Brom , that should get fans absolutely bouncing but we all know we'll turn up at Luton with bennet in goal, danny graham at wing back with Walton as false 9. It's a horrible feeling to not really feel, atleast with Steve Kean there was anger, right now it's just "meh" at every result.
  11. Got to go for me now, sick of how many times we've got within a sniff of the play offs and then gone an abysmal run of form. I've found it really hard following rovers the last two seasons, rarely excited by a starting line up and not excited by a win because it ultimately counts for nothing when we throw away all the hard work down the track.
  12. 1 point off the play offs. If results go the right way we could get into the top 6. Therefore I'm going 3-0 wigan.
  13. Hart seems too arrogant to drop down to championship. Think he still sees himself as top tier player, either here or abroad. Would be a gamble especially with his wages.
  14. I voted for the wrong one cos sausage fingers. I dont think constant football is worth it, was it boxing day where they had 4 back to back games? We were so tired of it by the end of it. Its special when its world cup or euros but beyond that, no thanks. I'd scrap the Friday and Monday night fixtures. Leave saturday early and late and then either 1 or 2 on sunday. Have 6 or 7 games in the 3pm slot. The 3pm slot has been ruined IMO. Bit of nostalgia but I miss checking ceefax every 5mins from 3pm and then switching on final score at half 4. It's not the same when it's a handful of mid table 0-0 games. I barely even register that premiership games take place at 3pm.
  15. Rate Ayala from his time at boro, would like him with lenihan
  16. If he was actually Ill I'd maybe wish him well but he's very upbeat and doesnt have any symptoms
  17. Apparently recorded his best ever fitness test they day the test came back positive.
  18. Pass. My point being that we will get to a point where league 2 are comfortable to start playing games again. Surely it's best to wait until then and see whether its feasible to finish this season or just go straight into next one.
  19. But in theory it might not be safe until March in which case would you not just finish the current season? If it's august then it would make sense to just start next season?
  20. I may be missing something but why are leagues making a decision to abandon now? Is it not best to wait to find out when it might be safe for football to return and then decide?
  21. Gonna bar my other half from the paint brush. Spent last saturday painting the fences and I'll now have to spend this saturday cleaning paint off the path.
  22. I would have been young at the time but I remember spending a couple of years wishing de vita would get into the first team purely cos he was prolific on football manager.
  23. Tiger king was great, first episode didnt grip me straight away mind. What baffled me about the whole thing is how much money simple rednecks seem to have.
