  1. Very much depends upon who escapes the summer cull but if it is as bad as some of us fear the lack of anyone of any merit coming to mind to answer the question suggests we could very well be plumbing new depths in twelve months time. It could be that serious. It is quite conceivable that after Leicester we could be in the bottom three for the first and only time.

Where does this put us for the three year profit and sustainability window?

Edit: I've just taken a look and for the past three years we've had the following losses:

    20/21: £6.6m

    21/22: £11.2m

    22/23: £20.9m

Which comes to £38.7m which is just below the £39m losses allowed for a three year window. Suspiciously close if you ask me. Also leaves us with only a £7m buffer for this season's losses.

Unless I'm completely misunderstanding how it works.

Not to worry Waggott says we will make a profit in this year's accounts.

Indeed he does but my point was that there is no control about who is voting. Presumably I could go and give Adam a 9 every game without even seeing the game. Likewise I could give every Burnley player a 1 every game.

The voting is open to abuse I regularly give Adam a 10😊

of course it can be and I will give you a working scenario

We brought in money from Wharton sale and Raya sell on clause so lets say it is £25m for this scenario.

You can spend £7m for the summer transfer budget, add £2m to the wage budget for next season and the season after. So that's £11m then spend 3m on improve the club academy facilities and first team facilities. then save £3m for next January window. So that's, £17m spent whilst reducing the season debt by £8m

However by the summer there will be nothing like £25 million left in the pot. We are already living off the Wharton money now.
