  1. he mentioned in his interviews this week wanting to maintain the tidy play but amalgamate it into something a bit more mixed and pragmatic. hopefully that comes next once we've a foundation to work from that isn't just "get points however possible"
  2. Does anyone know if there's any truth to the random "Remy was in the away end" rumour? Just keep seeing people asking if it's true on SM, but absolutely zero source point for where it might have come from!
  3. absolutely spot on. his bbc lancs interview today bangs this drum. he comes across really well and is quite the startling contrast to what we've had.
  4. i should've been clearer – worked a charm in respect of the players having and using their voice. you're bob on though. it's clear he rubbed them up the wrong way at times and that was clear as day from the very start. i don't think "lost the dressing room" is much of an understatement.
  5. hopefully not. hoping we can keep it in the locker but be more pragmatic with it. less tactical rigidity all round, but definitely utilise it when it'll be effective. we can move the ball about against quite a few teams in this division, so it should be handy in build-up and as an option on the counter. would like to see us focus on shoring up around McFadzean for now and just find goals wherever we can, but very much keep an eye on maintaining some positivity in the play.
  6. great post. i find it fascinating that this outspoken nature of the players likely only exists because of how JDT empowered all of them when he first arrived; asking for presentations, opinions, ideas, thoughts. He opened the whole thing up and gave everybody a voice and it seems to have worked a charm. it's just a shame it came back to bite him a bit, even if it is now to our full advantage as a club with these players. they're hungry and want to show the best of themselves, which is abundantly clear now. the "remove the shackles" comment, whether it's a direct quote or paraphrasing Eustace, tells it all.
  7. Mowbray was sacked at Sunderland. Rooney was sacked at Birmingham, Mowbray replaced him! Michael Beale is at Sunderland at the moment, I believe
  8. Eustace in the dugout is great to see. Not happy with something, shouting orders. Fantastic to see a coach not sat on his arse while we lose.. sorry JDT, hard to say but it's true. Looking so much better today.
  9. be fascinated to see how we line up tomorrow tbh. would imagine it'll be more or less continuity, but some of the changes the double D's make could be pretty telling compared to JDT
  10. cheers. i remain fully convinced that this is a Broughton appointment through and through, as much as he seems to be being kept in the shadows at the moment. keeping an eye out for the extended follow up piece, might have a few quotes if player signings are to go by.
