Fucking ridiculous. We've got markandy we've got others. Centrebacks taking pens never fucking works
Nonsense. Newcastle had one taking their first.

It might’ve been mentioned but Jayden Danns who came on for Liverpool today is the son of ex-Rovers midfield, Neil Danns. Neil Danns broke through about two decades ago, around the same time as David Dunn, but never quite made it. He did, however, have a decent and well-travelled career.
Incidentally, Liverpool also had the son of Jason Koumas on their bench. Brings back memories of that era.
They also had Lee Clark's son playing

What do he do well and could improve with?
could he challenge Pickering next season for the left back/wing back role?
He's a wing back rather more than a full back and has been doing well in the last couple of months with a few assists and a goal. Could well be in the first team squad next season which would mean Batty could be loaned out to see if he is going to be good enough.

Rovers loanees Georgie Gent and Jack Vale both in the starting line up for Motherwell versus Celtic live on Sky.

5 games, 1 win, 20% win rate, 5 points.
And that's doing pretty well?
No, it's not. We have to do better to ensure safety.
And I'm in a generous mood and giving the Stoke win down to Eustace.
1 win and 3 draws is 6 points.

Shay Given?
I think Given came through Celtic's youth system.

Very sad news. I saw him put on an unbelievable display in an away game at West Brom the season they got promoted. Along with David Raya the best keeper to come through our youth scheme in living memory.

Shrewd man management by Eustace. Talks Gallagher up and is rewarded by a goal and an assist in the first half hour. What a contrast to his predecessor who would have spent the week whinging about not being able to sign a No 9.

Not enamoured by some of the flowery guff Eustace is coming out with.
Never recall the likes of Fergie, Big Sam etc delivering such utterances.
Jury's out for me - let's see what the 'precious little ones' get up to tomorrow.
Think you only have to remember what Fergie has said about the Glaziers to realise that yet again you are talking drivel.

1 game and it's already Eustace out. Wow. I've not looked, but I bet there have been a few of our best managers that have lost their first game. Perhaps we should have rotating managers like the hosts of Have I Got News For You, or hold a raffle for fans to have a go at the next game.
How the hell can someone come into this club and then magically stop it being some sort of insane crap show within a week when the clowns are still in place? And how do you expect a head coach to rid us of those clowns? Buy the club? Launch a tactical nuke to Pune?
Worth remembering that Howard Kendall - one of our 2 best managers in living memory - had 1 win, 3 draws and 4 defeats from his first 8 games as our manager in the third tier of league football.

I'm still bitter about the whole situation over January mate. It's really frustrating. JDT was openly talking about the BS at the club in the media. It was so refreshing. Yes we lost a few games in Dec but we had so many injuries and our squad is poor anyway. This guy won't do any better with the squad we've got but he also doesn't show me any hope of him publicly criticising the BS in the club so I'm annoyed
We'd lost more than just a few games - from the beginning of December until his departure we had taken 5 points from 11 games under JDT and were heading for relegation. The manager is employed to get results on the pitch not to talk about BS at the club - by doing so he gave the players an excuse for failing which they duly did.

So objective ‘don’t lose face’.
Not going very well, is it?
It's India where they will be worried about face - not here.

So what is these owners’ objective then, Masher?
I think Balaji saw himself as a "player" and owning a Premier League club was part of that - he sold the project to the rest of the family as a way of raising the Venkys profile on an international stage. Having made a complete mess of things they are prepared to lose a certain amount of money every year rather than admit they've got things wrong.

The project has never ever changed since the day they arrived.
Plod along in the lower leagues.
Shit loads of transfers in and out.
Keep lossess to the required amount.
Keep the spotlight away from the owners at all costs.
Why buy a Premier League club if the objective is to plod along in the lower leagues ?

Such tosh needs deconstruction.
At least he understands the challenge that the Championship presents and has demonstrated some degree of competence in dealing with it.
He was doing fine last season and the first half of this until the shit show that is SWAG and Rao’s messed up.
Hopefully supporters will give him a fair crack of the whipYes we will, it’s the dross above that needs calling out.
..and then we go again next season.
Really? And on what grounds given the last 13 years do you base that?I don't understand your post. My comments were about Eustace not JDT.

Eustace will be messed around and lied to like everyone else since 2010, so he won't see out his contract or stay longer. He's here to manage the decline to League 1 and the final winding down of the club.
Why would anybody want that ?

People are gonna rip that statement apart, so much to talk about
I think the only people who will want to rip that statement apart are those who want to talk the club down.

So we're plummeting towards the relegation zone and have no manager but at least we've started looking for a new one!
Nothing much gets past those in charge at Ewood. You've got to get up pretty early in the morning to get one over on them. It's truly heartwarming to know we're in such capable hands.
You're behind the times. We've already appointed John Eustace as manager.

A sad end to JDT's tenure but, although circumstances were clearly difficult, he didn't help himself with what came across as a defeatist attitude and comments designed to shift blame on to others.
