I wish him all the best and I very much hope I am wrong but I'm really not feeling this appointment. Proof will be on the pitch and what happens behind the scenes but he doesn't give me anything to feel excited about, confident about or even interested in. Early days and hopefully I look silly down the line...

Well I don't look silly and tbh, shameful to say I haven't watched a game since the Birmingham draw. The bloke hasn't got what it takes and reading comments on here confirms that. For me, his appointment has been the final nail in the coffin for my commitment to the club...looks like this is also the case for the players based on the results. There is only so much shite you can take before you say fuck it, I'm done. Of course, Venkys is where the ultimate blame lies...I hope things turn around one day for those of you who have more stamina than I do, big respect to all of you but I refuse to be hurt and angry anymore.

  3. I hope Scott comes good for us, he did very well before but as part of a back 5. I don't have confidence in his ability on the ball and in picking out passes, which has become an important part of our game for each player on the pitch. It's a tough one for Scott, I feel he would come good in a more direct team but that is not us.

I'm up to Ewood for this one. I should however, declare my woeful record when going to see Rovers in the flesh. Played 11 won 0. It ends this weekend, surely my curse ends this weekend!?!? 🙏

Taking a Man Utd and a Newcastle fan with me - any recommendations for pubs/bars to go to for their games on TV after? John Bull 3 times for lunch already lined up, of course.

    2-1 Rovers, JRC and Ennis

Just want to send my belated apologies to everyone for the result, I have only just gotten over it. Please feel free to enforce a permanent ban on my future attendance.

Having said that, 13 is actually my lucky number...

  6. I too watched the full replay and largely agree with the above, but I do feel Ennis put in a good performance considering his apparent fitness issues.

He chased the ball down well, scored a nice goal with a good touch and turn to finish, took another good snapshot which was saved well and put a couple of decent balls into the danger zone. I'm cautiously optimistic about his chances here.

  7. It was a great game to watch and a very good performance by us. The identity that JDT came in to implement is clear and while there is always room to improve, this set of players are giving it their all to deliver the plan. My wife commented on how well we played, a very rare compliment from her so we must be doing something right lol.

Made up for Leonard, he's got a lot of potential and while I will temper my expectations, I'm secretly hoping he can replace Brereton's goals. The lad gets in the right places and will put away chances once he settles down I'm sure.

Markanday is being rewarded for his work off the ball and it's great to see him get his goal too. It will do a lot for his confidence and will show him what he can do if he continues to apply himself.

Adam Wharton has phenomenal when we came on and then waned, but if we can get 35 games out of him this season he is going to cause a lot of problems for the opposition.

Travis was fantastic today, if he can stay fresh he could really kick on to the next level this season in this team.

Defensively we were great, Hyam was a rock amongst some big WBA players and Carter always impresses me and did so again today.

Lovely performance, proud of the lads!

  8. If A Wharton is deemed unfit, my team would be:

    --------------------Kaminski

    Brittain--------Carter----Hyam----Pickering

    -----------------JRC----Tronstad

    --------------------Szmodics

    Markanday-------------------------------Dolan

    ----------------------Leonard

Desperately hoping that Leonard can help us and I think a goal early into the season for him could set him up for a decent contribution this season.
