  1. Erm I cannot believe what I’m reading in the press, after our summer transfer failings with administrative errors preventing transfers is the club having an absolute giraffe putting it out there that we failed to land another signing because of another administrative error???I’ve never heard the likes of it in my life.
There was no way JDT was seeing this week out let alone this season.

  2. A bit shocked at how outspoken JDT has been in the media but possibly more shocked that the club gagged him on Friday.
I think JDT is a manager with huge potential and he probably picked the wrong opportunity for his own career in coming to Rovers in the first place given the state we’re in. He could’ve done a bit more due diligence for himself probably as it’s not difficult to find out with the minimum of research that the owners don’t spend Christmas at Rovers and were hardly going to do a 180 just cos he showed up.
Can safely say it’s a matter of when not if JDT is gone now which again is a shame.

I’d be lying if I haven’t wrestled with the points your making. I just think the hole left if I stopped going t’rovers and meeting the people there and the craic on the coach and visiting new places would be to much to fill . Plus,  quiet simply the scumbags in India have took everything else, there not having that n all. I just have to tell myself it’s a social day out and what else would you do instead when I start over contemplating the bigger picture, but it’s not the same and I doubt it ever will be until something gives. I keep the faith and hope that at 36 age is on my side to ride through it.

Cost of living , shite weather and being on sky every game doesn’t help either. I’ve had to miss a few games with work and watched on sky. Yesterday being a prime example makes me think thank god  I didn’t go and spend x amount to witness that and stayed in the warmth and I think a lot of people feel the same when wins are so shot shy and losses are appalling

I took a break around 2010 for a few years.

had different priorities in my life.

can always come back and enjoy later

We really should have signed Zidane and replaced Dalglish with a top manager.

Ever read Shearers book ‘diary of a season 94/95). It’s amazing how often Dalglish was not around training. That made me understand the Harford choice.

What could Ray or any manager do anyway when Uncle Jack stopped spending

I remember at the time it seemed to be a case of "why didn't we sign Berkovic" and "who is Tugay?".

Boy, did we soon find out. It was an honour, Toogs, an honour.

It's never going to happen, I know, but I'd love to hear Tugay's honest views on what this lot have done to our club. Morten was pretty scathing in relation to the Spiv and it felt like he had a lot more to say on the matter. Duffer, a few years back, talked about it being sad seeing the state that the club was in. I'd like to think there's more.

Back to Tugay though...that lofted through ball to Andy Cole at Loftus Road, which Cole buried past Van der Sar 👏. I've watched that goal back so many times and the pass gets better each time.

Having lived outside of the area for many years now, it’s always great to go back and pay respect to Jack. We will never forget what this man did for our town and our football club.

Deserves all the credit in world, extraordinary what he did for the club.
Wasnt it odd though that the investment seemed to fall off a Cliff from 1996? When Shearer and Newell left we only had Sutton and Gallagher left up front and Sutton had played some games at centre back as we had no one to replace Hendry who was injured. We acquired players like Matty Holmes right when the foreign legion really started to influx into the league. I hate the idea that Jack saw us go down and then never got the chance to see us come back up or win the league cup which he would’ve loved.
