I think the way you frame this is a choice. I choose to always remain positive and it’s served me well in life.

What will be will be, only worry about the things you can effect. It’s better to endure pain with a positive mindset than a negative. Negativity doesn’t serve any person well.

It's not about you. It's about BRFC. All the 'positive thinking' in the world isn't going to make Mowbray a better manager, or Venky's better owners.

The club have been unable or unwilling to extend contracts of any senior players over the last 18 months (other than the 12 month Johnson extension). They've been dormant and inactive for months, unable to even do the most basic or simple of things such as communicate or sort tickets out.

I'm supposed to believe there's a reasonable offer on the table for Armstrong?

Why would you not believe it? A bid from another club has nothing to do with how Rovers operate. Well, actually it does. There's more likely to be a bid from another club for a player that's just finished leading scorer but who's club have allowed his contract to run down because they are idiots.

Some will see AA as a bargain.

I believe it. I'm just intrigued to how much they've taken the piss with their bid amount.

I think the Telegraph are doing the clubs bidding here.

An almost daily reference to Armstrong, now they've started with the 'bids' in but rejected.

    I don't believe them.

It is in Rovers' interests to keep this in the limelight for as long as possible.

Zero information in that article beyond what we already knew.

They're trying to bring interested parties out into the open.

Normal clubs would be pressing ahead with recruitment and planning for improvement next season, the focus here is on cashing in.

    Shameless.

I doubt it mate. AA's agent will be telling all and sundry if there is a bid. It won't need the LT doing the agent's work.

They hold all of the cards. I imagine they must laugh about it, and at us, behind closed doors. Imagine being so incompetent with no clue how to fix things, and being given an annual green light to carry on anyway.

I’m fully expecting that Waggott’s mission right now will be tying Mowbray down to a new contract as a priority. The fact there has been no talk about this being his last season speaks volumes.

The laughing and the new contract are as nailed on as a Mowbray 10-game winless run.

Not sure if this helps. It is about Reading, from a while ago & seems to suggest, certain signings, can be https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/what-efl-rules-state-transfer-16498445.amp

Thanks. Puts Crooke's and Sharpe's efforts to explain the embargo in a bad light.

That article seems to confirm what has been construed from earlier reports - namely we're in a 'soft embargo' at present due to late submission of accounts.....but not a full blown one unless we fail FFP/P&S, which is not yet known.

  6. Barnsley Friendly Postponed | AFC Fylde

Fylde AFC - ... this afternoon the Club has now received a directive highlighting the need for a mandatory negative Covid test to be evidenced for entry into the stadium. To comply properly, this would require extensive planning to implement this system, which is not possible for a club of our size, and therefore regrettably we have had to postpone the (Barnsley) match.

Also Fylde AFC - we will provide an update early next week regarding the Blackburn Rovers fixture, but in the meantime, tickets will remain on sale for this game.

Rovers match tickets still on sale? Fylde must be planning on becoming a bigger club between the Barnsley game and the Rovers game.

So we've allowed 10+ players to depart this summer and relied heavily on loans despite presumably knowing that FFP trouble was on the horizon and that there was a strong chance we would be restricted on signing new players this summer.

First question- what sort of morons do we have running things here?

Second question - why do they get to continue in their jobs?

The kind of morons that believe Mowbray can get us in the play-offs.

'Unless the embargo is being imposed for anything different than the late filing of accounts, Rovers can still operate in the market. They are not allowed to pay any transfer fees but they can still make free signings and loan signings to make up their squad numbers to 23 'established' players - as long as they can prove the wages they are offering are 'reasonable'.'

Rovers currently can't sign anyone according to Sharpe so either that  statement above is incorrect, or Rovers are under an embargo for something other than late filings of account.

Go in hard on Derby? Someone's having a laugh.

A fine is all they got for their previous and long term shenanigans.

Then to save face the Suits then dream up rules and draconian measures for the rest.

Indeed, the EFL decided not to appeal the decision of an independent panel to only fine Derby. EFL wanted a points deduction.

BUT...the sting might be in the tail if the EFL hammer Derby if they fail to meet P&S rules.
