St Joseph's FC in Gibraltar normally play in blue and white stripes but used this yesterday. Even had the red names and numbers on the back.

Last year they were taken over by former Burnley chairman Mike Garlick. Strange coincidence.

He's hoping to be back by late May so he can get back into the Gibraltar squad for their game vs Ireland, but there's no timeframe yet for a return cos the sepsis did a number on him physically.

Turns out Louie Annesley, who left Blackburn for Dundalk in January and scored in his 3rd game for them, hasn't played since March because he contracted sepsis. He's very lucky to still be alive cos sepsis is a killer.

Dundalk could be a good destination for him. A potential European campaign next season (they're in the ECL and Irish clubs are becoming regulars in that competition) will be a good experience at least.

Can't confirm this but word among Man Utd supporters is that he's been told he'll have chronic problems for the rest of his life if he keeps playing so he's virtually done already. One person who seems to be close with the Academy there said the main reason he's being allowed to see out his contract is so he can be rehabbed for quality of life post-football rather than a return to play, with the club helping him get qualifications as he transitions to being part-time and then retiring at the end of the season, much like how they supported keeper Paul Woolston when injury forced him to retire.

Shame to see such a promising career end the way it has, guy could have been one of the world's top defenders had injuries not completely disintegrated his knee. Maybe he'll get a job as a youth coach at United or Blackburn once he's got his qualifications?

Scary stuff in League One tonight as Wycombe striker Tjay De Barr collapsed at FT. Plymouth manager said in post-match interview that Tjay was coughing up blood after a rough collision and went down holding his chest before losing consciousness. Paramedics rushed onto the pitch and took him to hospital. Wycombe boss wasn't available for comment as he went to the hospital with De Barr, but updates have been steadily coming through and he's in a "good" condition but they're doing tests to find out why he collapsed and coughed up blood.

One possible exit. Article says not sure if loan or permanent but with 6 months left on his deal you'd expect Rovers will be looking for a permanent sale.

Anyway they changed the side around considerably for the second game and still won 4-0. Bartolo and Scanlon both came on as second half subs and played key roles in each other's goals.

Hope he can have a good career in League 1/League 2. Getting a few apps for the first team this season in the cups will help him a lot, playing alongside good quality players and learning under a proper, youth oriented manager in JDT. Could well see him again this season if he keeps doing his job with little fuss and doing the important stuff. Although he probably will be released at the end of the season.

Yeah I think some of the youngsters proved they're not as terrible as some think they are. Not likely all of them will make it at Rovers but they definitely put up a good account of themselves.
