  1. Not sure who was commenting for BBC yesterday but it was certainly more descriptive and enjoyable than normal; Rovers contingent of midfielders with dark flowing locks and beards seem to get to every ball. Hard to tell them all apart. Boro can't take advantage, and Rovers' Timotei-advert midfield cope with the danger again. Credit to Blackburn for trying to up the excitement in this six minutes of injury time with some really shoddy clearances. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/55771969 I thought Dack`s through ball (not a hoof over the top) to Gallagher in the second half was worth the "entrance fee" alone. Pity Arma skied it at the end of the move.
  2. Not sure if this has been mentioned before so appolgies if it has. To me, the fact that Kaminski is excellent with his feet is a double edge sword. Too many times now I see our defenders and Mids getting the ball, have a look forward then take the safe option back to the keeper, even when under a bit of pressure. I don't know what the stats are for us versus other teams in using the keeper as a sweeper or extra defender but its getting like a safety net and is removing any positive thought or risk taking by the defence or Mids who drop deep for the ball. By all means use our keeper like this if it means it then leads to us pushing forward and taking some calculated risks but not if it's just a get out clause for the players where it usually just ends up with a hoof down the field to an opposition that has had time to get organised again so we have gained nothing by tippy tapping back and forth at the back. I wonder how we would play if Kaminski was as good as he is but not quite as good with the ball at his feet?
  3. Kaminski Lenihan Wharton Nyambe Bell Johnson Travis Dack Rothwell Elliot Armstrong Subs: Gallagher, Williams, JRC, Douglas, Holtby No keeper as Lenihan can go in goal I belive if Kaminski gets injured during a match - working on law of averages of how many times we have lost a keeper to injury or sending off during a match.
  4. I`ve had two emails this morning apologising and my money has been refunded. We are sorry to hear that you have been charged for the event in question. Please note that you have now been refunded with the amount of £10 and this should be with you within 5-7 working days. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. If you do have any issues like this during the next live game please contact us via the live chat option on the club's website and we will endeavour to resolve this as soon as possible.
  5. Why does Ifollow allow you to buy a video pass when they are not showing it!
  6. Think we need to be reconciled to him never fixing his heavy first touch, Every time the ball goes out when we play at Ewood, return one with a bit less air in. ?
  7. Anyone else being charged for Ifollow in different currencies? The Luton game was £10, the Preston game was 14 Australian Dollars and my Barnsley one is 8 Euros! All bought on the same device and internet provider and the exchange rate isn`t even correct. My server is based in Germany.
  8. I think I played against someone who had read that book ARA :-). I am 6`3" and 17 stone. I went for an upright 50:50 challenge with this young lad who I thought would snap in half. It was like tackling a brick wall. I thought it was a one off but same again next time. All down to how you position your body/legs.
  9. Agree EiT, but he is definitely improving in that regard. It`s also up to the other attackers to move and drag those defenders he runs into out of his way ?
  10. Preston Fan posted Tuesday night, " That Dolan lad looks good. Goes to show what a great youth system Blackburn have." I`m assuming ( and hoping) his tongue was frimly in his cheek.
  11. Ryan Ny. needs to take the full back on more. He has the pace and so long as someone drops in behind to cover him, the pressure is always on the opposition fullback to win it rather than him lose the ball. He frustrated a bit against Preston by looking as though he was going to skin the full back, then he stopped and played a ball back or sideways. I like him, but in my opinion he needs to add this to his game so we are mixing up the angles the crosses are going into the box and also drawing their defenders out to support the opposition full back when they are beaten.
  12. Barnsley fans say their team looked "leggy" against Brentford so I would expect them to ask us to try and break them down. So for me, our pace won`t be the major factor in beating them. We need the likes of Elliot, Dolan, Holtby and Rothwell on the ball to do something out of the ordinary so we can get chances in the box. Hurling it into to a packed penalty area for Gally or Ben to try and get on the end and knock it in or down for Arma won`t do it for me. We need players who can do the unexpected in their box or on the edge of the box. This is why I think we have struggled in the past when teams park the bus. Now in those four players, I think we have the skill to open up teams with a cute pass or dribble. If I am wrong and they come and have a go, then that is their problem. Quotes from Barnsley fans; "It was tactical to sit back and make our half congested to stop Brentford playing...." " Blackburn are a better team than others think and are top scorers, I think. It will be difficult to get a win."
  13. Some fans have questioned Scott Wharton's distribution but I thought it was very good against Preston and on a few occasions, he was given the ball in tight spaces and dealt with it really well and made good decisions, like the one in the first half, where he was about a yard from the line with a Preston player coming to him and he just booted it into the stands and ran back into position rather than risk something silly.
