  1. Don't it state resigned for all directors leaving post regardless of it being their choice or is sacked in his role?
  2. Last season we were solid for many a game under JDT but whilst learning to play out from the back there were some horror shows. Our problem was scoring goals especially with BB went on his barren spell. This year the football was much better, we have scored more freely but in doing so have been too openat the back. As we have seen with JE, we can tighten up but the football has been dire and the goals dry up until last weekend. With hindsight there are times we would want JDTs style and there are times when we need JEs but I still think JDT over achieved overall with this squad and with support would ultimately have proved a longer term success. Some great points made and it can all be dissected in many ways. One thing not mentioned is player attraction. It's all personal but if I was approached by 2 clubs led by JDT and JE, I know who would inspire me more to play for because of his charisma, charm and standing in the game. With all that, as others have said it really is all lost and pointless anyway under this ownership.
  3. I have to say to a man I thought every single player deserves enormous credit and did the club proud. Even Billy the kid considering his lack of game time, a debut against 1st choice Premier League players, he did a job. Nervy and a few mistakes but understandable. Rode our luck at times but it was just brilliant to feel that buzz again which I feared was lost when JDT departed. The foundations are there to kick on until the end of the season, secure safety and then the summer circus is back in town and who knows what comes next but tonight was about the players and the fans showing the best side of our club and on national television it was a great advert.
  4. GB is inconspicuously quiet and surely the DoF should be present at a meeting with players discussing results even before the CEO. I think he and JDT depart and we are back to square 1. Maybe McFadzean will be our manager given he's been brought in at 37... nothing will surprise me anymore
  5. I'm the same as many others. I feel gutted and almost a sense of grieving. I cannot ignore results on the pitch and it was clear we need to tighten up at the back but who could achieve anything with this circus. Everytime there is any hope, the next balls up hits and it's firmly with the hierarchy. I have no doubt with the right backing and sticking with the project, JDT would have achieved. He's now going to conveniently take the headlines to cover up for the rest. It's become a disgusting club with a rotting core. It breeds toxicity into the split fan base and whilst in a few days my emotions will soften and I'll go back to watching and willing to see the next episode I hate not having any control or ability to impact something I care about. It's embarrassing, demoralising and I hope JDT has something lined up because he deserves better than what this club has become. The rest of them should all fuck off as well.
  6. An all or nothing on Rovers would gi e them all the money they need as it would be a hell of a show. They just wouldn't want it in the public domain. What I find odd is no one ever speaks out even after leaving the club in recent history I mean. Take someone like George Hirst who has no loyalty or affection, you would think things would leak but it's always the same line that everyone at the club is great, gonna miss them, rooting for them...no one ever comes out and says, with a better organised and connected top layer, this club is ready for the Premier League etc. etc.
  7. Imagine losing your captain, young starlet and Manager in the space of a month. Any chance of ever seeing success at this club is disappearing quicker than you could say it. As they say, it's the hope that kills you...
  8. Surely if true his Mum would have ended her following?
  9. I actually have liked Jutkewicz as a Championship striker for a few years now. Always causes problems and is something we are lacking. I've often wondered why Burmingham haven't utilised him more over the last few years. However, never imagined he would be a player we would bring in as its completely against the model and I wouldn't say he's a pressing forward. He's not renewing at Brum through a lack of starts and I can't see that changing here. He'll get some game time but used from the bench most likely I would have thought. Can't see it happening personally.
  10. To be fair, he did a very good job at QPR before being poached by Rangers, where QPR then went into freefall and have never recovered since. Didn't work out at Rangers and yes I know several fans who were glad to see him gone, likewise Clement has had the desired effect but I wouldn't write him off just yet. If I remember correctly, when riding high with QPR, Wolves wanted him in the prem but he turned it down.
  11. Perhaps with some height in the squad the tactics for corners would change?
  12. Do you sit in the JW when relocated by any chance or do we have more than 1?
  13. Only our trip to Kenilworth Road. I have only ever seen Brazil play twice in my lifetime by watching England at Wembley but I know they play good football most of the time during my lifetime without having to visit the Maracana
  14. Luton were not an exciting watch last season but there fans aren't complaining...
  15. I think the appearance to goals stat is a little flawed as most of those appearances were in the right wing and he is never a right winger. In fact, he even had one of those appearances at right back under Mogga!! If he could stay fit, I still think with a run of games and some confidence he could chip in with the goals we need from elsewhere. Still not of the level we need and wouldn't renew his contract but still think he has something to offer.
  16. Won't claim to have heard of him but looks pretty direct and got a finish on him. Appears more right winger than centre forward to me
  17. Given the lack of options and Leonard scoring a hatrick midweek, I'd let him start whilst his confidence is high. Sigurdsson to drop to the bench with the challenge of working his way back in
  18. The squad has depth it just doesn't have the level of quality because of the budget and the need to blood youngsters to avoid spending and bring in future player sales. As depressing as it is, the bench is only so weak because of the amount of injuries we have. This international break, whilst being on the back of a loss isn't ideal will at least allow us to get some bodies back in contention. I thought we did OK last night. Missed some of those injured players especially JRC and even Gallagher as a focal point even if it meant we swung a few corners in. We really miss someone who can go past 1 or 2. The nature of the defeat being last minute and to a neighbour makes it all the more harder to swallow but had it been a win last night there would be a lot more talk about the play offs and what we could achieve. I'm not saying this squad is good enough to make the play offs but a few wins on the bounce suddenly makes things very different in this league.
  19. I personally struggle to get to week games because of my location but am dropping everything to make tomorrow's game. I'm 38 but this was a game I had to get to. Can't say exactly why other than I consider it a derby and I expect the atmosphere to be up a level or 2. The right performance and result will only add to that
  20. Last year we struggled to score goals even with Dack and Brereton hence our minus goal difference. We are weaker in that sense so putting more bodies forward and pressing is the tactics to address the lack of goals. We don't score, we don't win. Key is getting the first goal and stop giving away the cheap early goals.
  21. I think its worth noting the praise the club is getting from rival managers. They see the threat but of course are ruthlessly exposing the weaknesses. It's been a disjointed start with injuries, lacking depth, late arrivals. We have to back this team of players and JDT following the card that's been dealt. This defence and midfield achieved plenty last season and I didn't hear many preferring Morton over Wharton. I genuinely believe it will come together as we find a balance and blood the newbies, it's just how far behind we will be. It's frustrating to lose and to keep shipping goals but our summer business was never going to make us challengers. JDT will know where the weaknesses are but with his budget his hands are tied. Several interviews have shown he's been let down not just this summer but in January. Could have easily been a different game and result today and Leicester have an unbelievable squad for this division with them on a high, unlike the death spiral when we met them in the cup last year. Leicester, Southampton and Leeds should absolutely walk this division.
  22. To claim not to know the reason crowds are smaller than most of the league and then when it's explained to dismiss it and keep saying I don't understand probably says it all. Football is incredibly expensive to follow these days, especially when it's a family day out. The modern man going to the football and leaving the wife and kids at home gets harder and harder. If there is an interest the cost is ooutof reach for many every other week. Anyway, to the game....3-1 Rovers with at least one scored by JRC!
  23. Eddie, won't let me quote for some reason. I wasn't meaning a dig at Wharton, I meant at Phillips. The point about playing games and building momentum for a successful high level career rather than sitting in PremierLeague reserves is what I was referring too
