Well at least we’ve established that sportswashing works on some people.
Backfires on others though. I know a lot more about the shitty things regimes in some of these places do due to people getting up in arms about things like owning foreign football clubs. Not everyone reads Amnesty International communication briefs.
In short, keep giving it to them.

Starts today for
Olson - drew 1-1 - finished 9th
Goddard - lost 2-0 - already confirmed that they would finish bottom & be relegated
Not involved in matchday squad
Powell - drew 1-1 - failed to make an appearance for Altrincham
I (randomly) watched the highlights of that Oldham/Ebbsfleet game and remarked that it would have been 5 or 6-0 if not for the keeper, not knowing he was a Rovers player. Some excellent saves. The less said about the 3 players in front of him the better. That penalty would be shambolic at any level.

If Toth was keeping all year we make playoffs. The margins were fine enough in the end that that shouldn't be arguable. Another really good game from him.

You not get sky sports over there?
Short answer is, I don't think so.

Anyone based in Sydney watching the game today? Or is there a supporters club out here anyone knows about? Wish I could be in the away end but if someone could point me in the direction of anything or anyone over this way, I’d be highly appreciative!
How do we even watch it here? Bein sports have the Coventry and Burnley matches but nothing else.

Simply put, Burnley will not care a jot about us when they play Millwall. You know they will let Millwall win.
As for Bristol City, if they lose tomorrow, they’ll need to beat Knob End to stay in Play Offs. If they win at Leeds, do you think they’ll care about the Preston game either?
Sadly, I think it’s all too late (again)!
They'll want to win the title so it'll definitely be a live game for them. Even if Leeds lose tonight, they'll still need at least a point.

It seems pretty simple. The owners have said they're not putting money in, whether because they can't or don't want to. They don't particularly care that people like RG have to sell that turd to us. He does his best to polish it, but ultimately he's not very bright so he butchers the PR.
The only action that is illogical here is that of the owners. Even then, you'd probably be better off characterising it as heartless rather than lacking logic. The rest are just fairly banal pawns of middling intelligence reading lines handed to them from elsewhere for a paycheck.
Good job from various people on here giving them rope to hang themselves though.

Incredible how a non calamity keeper can change a team.

When it goes full circle and Bury are at the same level as us again, which will happen as i think they will get to the football league in the next 4/5 years or so and we'll either be 3rd/4th division by then, there will still be some saying "but we could end up like them".
"But we could end up like Coalville!"

It’d have to be the second coming of Christ to have us back in top 6 contention next season.
Venky’s out. Nothing else matters.
Venkys selling the club to a wealthy, engaged party would certainly feel like a miracle.

We've replaced our backline fine enough. Kaminski, BBD and Szmodics on the other hand...

Couldn't be easy could it?

We probably have to sell AGAIN?
Where did the Wharton, Szmodics, Kaminski, Raya money go, Rudy?
You certainly haven't reinvested much of it into the squad.
He's a clown of the highest order. We're in massive, massive trouble with him making any decisions.
The good news is he's probably not making decisions of any magnitude.
The bad news is...

"Imagine if we didn't have Venkys! Who would fund the club then?"

I'm Australian, so I'd love to see Postecoglu work out there. But creating a rift with the fan base is almost never excusable. As much as he can get some lee way for injuries, between that and performing extremely poorly on the pitch theres plenty of grounds to punt him for mine.

Maybe they'll get Adam Forshaw in the summer then 😂.
Rohl comes across as a fantastic coach and would do wonders at a club with sufficient backing. If he doesn't get a bigger job in the summer I'd be very surprised.A quality manager sticking the year out with his troops despite shitty ownership and landing a better job in the summer? What a novel concept.

Only club to have won a major domestic trophy in three different centuries.
Out of curiosity, which clubs (if any) would be in the running to match that feat if they won a trophy this century?

On of the first things I learned in the game was "Don't argue with the ref. He isn't going to change his decision."
Well, not outside a Blackburn Rovers game anyway.
