Yes den , i'm judging via the 2 cup games compared to 2000/01, as I dont watch blackburn in the flesh or on TV that's all I can judge by , last time we were out classed and no arguements that we lost in the cup to a better team but we were not out classed this time!

No stranger than the fact that rovers fans suggest it bigger than ever den! I believe we are nowhere near good enough to play in the premier league and would never suggest you were not a better team but in my opinion, we are no worse or better than we were in 2000/01 despite the league position but rovers are not as good a side as they were 5 years ago and I think your performances and results in the 2 cup games uphold that opinion!

Maybe it's just best to leave in your world of believing how huge you are? Your support at turf moor was fantastic , bringing 4000 was amazing , having 22000 at home was superb , you outsung us at both games and as we knew you would we did'nt even bother trying to compete. Your side was excellent at the turf and you should have won easily , whilst at ewood you should have won by double figures, you are so much better than the last time we met , indeed the gulf between us is now huge! Agreed den, maybe cotterill regrets not going for it, imo blackburn were there to be beaten, but yes with AA cup tied and injured we only have 1 striker and dont really have the attacking options but you are still a prem side and maybe if we had attacked more we might have got mullered? We have to be patient , cotterill aint been with us a full season yet and we cant have everything at once, I feel the guy knows what he wants and we have to be pateint while he gets it , there's more spoke from rovers fans about burnley than any positives on blackburn, that for me speaks volumes , at the end of the day without being an attacking threat we still gave you 2 hard games and your through whilst we bow out but with your squad costing much more than ours and earning much much more , can you say you were that much better ??

Den , you made the point yourself, we have not really got the attacking options to hurt you , we are a well organised outfit that sits deep and takes some breaking down , cotterill has done a great job for us , he new our weakness when he came was our defence so he has worked on that , they say you should build from the back and that is what he has done. Now I hope next season he will build a stronger attacking option but we shall see , the pride comes from the performance over both games in the fact that you as a prem side should have turned us especially over 2 games but despite the fact you won , we were never out played in either game and with a bit of luck we could have gone through, so imo the gulf between our 2 clubs is not as wide as 5 years ago and in that we must take some pride! There has been some good honest posting on here if you sift through all the " clarrot and poo ", "turd moor" "bumley" childish rubbish, the bragging rights remain with you but if you like to admit it or not, we are getting nearer and our day will come! Looks to me like the gaps closing, we gave you a game tonight, lucky og and a defensive error imo but a great finish by pederson! Maybe it is with being in the away stand but you sounded very quiet? Your point is very valid hasta , I think the facup entitlement is 15% for away fans , so by the rules you only have to give us around 4600, so we cannot complain at 7000, but we will My only moan is , as someone pointed out , that you have lost around 1000 seats to avoid coin throwers? hell we need the money and would only invade the pitch to pick the ones that miss!

Bravo to paul on a fantastic post , I must point out that the MAJORITY of this messageboard are decent posters with good wit and banter, it's just the odd 3 or 4 that as a claret , you can feel the pure hatred! There is enough hatred between the 2 clubs(from both sides) without it being carried on via messageboards and that includes the burnley ones! Toilets were smashed , seats were removed , coins were thrown and other damage was caused in the away end on sunday, it only takes a few village idiots but by far the massive majority of rovers fans are great people as are the majority of burnley fans , ive read much about the 3 looneys on the pitch, the flag carrier I did'nt see and the streaker was just light hearted fun and the guy had no intention to harm anyone but the last bloke was a total muppet that shamed our club , we are aware of this without needing reminders from other clubs ! I hope the replay is a great game with a great atmosphere and banter with football winning the day! 1-0 to the dingles!!!!
