I think many of our players were led to believe it would be a stroll in the park for them given the Celtic performance at Parkhead and the reaction after that. The Celtic players had something to prove and they were up for it more than us in every department. A lot of credit must go to them for the way they stopped us playing but to not score against them on our own ground is woeful. Larsson said that the result will teach us a lesson and it has. We are still a very young team however and we'll learn from our mistakes and do far better in the future. You only get one chance in the UEFA Cup however unlike the Champions League - Newcastle learnt from their three defeats by winning the next three and going through to the next round. Our chance will come again!

Why is it that Rovers always let the fans down when we really want them to perform, but always seem to do well when we least expect it? All credit to Celtic, they deserve to go through - but really we should be beating a side like them who really only have one top class player in Larsson. And what gets me is how we can score home and away against all the top four last season and have already put NINE past Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle in the Premiership this season, and struggle to cause Celtic any kind of problems at the back???
