  1. Andy Todd has had a superb season under the wing of Hughesy! I cant stress enough how well he has done since he was on the verge of leaving ewood! i am so happy that the board are undergoing talks to offer a new contract, which he fully deserves! No one would have thought that toddy would be one of the players who would excell under hughes but full credit, he has fought for his place and doesn't deserve to lose it! since hes only a small player he handled lee for cardiff very well! he has steadied the ship at the back and yesterday he deserved to skiper the side to a worrying victory but he was one out of a bunch on the pitch that performed really well! Well done toddy keep up the good work
  2. between roger jones who saved 3 pens in 1 match or the american superstar! hard decision!
  3. if barry goes back to rnagers then that shows he has a lack of ambition. it also means that he isn't up for a challenge in the premiership so if he wants to go then i wont be that bothered. i would rather see players playing for rovers than for money, (Please don't use that word again) off barry.
  4. I am not happy with the signings we haven't bought any class that we are lacking. I don't see us strengthening the squad, its getting weaker and weaker! hughes needs to pull his finger out and buy players with vital experience especially at centre half and also we need another striker to play alongside dickov!
  5. andy todd has been superb since he has been selected by hughesy! i can honestly say he might not be one of the top players in the squad but he certainly has opened my eyes and he has consistent. he has never ducked out of challenges and has gone up against players taller than him such as big dunc ferguson and kevin davies. i saw him at bolton and he handled the pressure superbly and coped well in front of his old club. full credit to him he has cemeted a position at centre half lets hope he keeps performing like this he can only get better and better.
  6. I'm absolutely against savage coming to the club, he isn't quality and at the moment we need to build upon our squad and not bring in crap! i think he will think he is bigger than the club and just playing for robbie savage and not for blackburn rovers. any way he is only coming for the money and to me that's not important, fans want to see the paul dickov's and the andy todd's who are on top of their games and they put in 100% every game not when it suits them like savage! I cant stand the bloke hes an arrogant @#/?!
  7. I remember watching duff at brockhall when he was in the youth set up at rovers. from then i knew he would have been big because of the talent he had. it didn't surprise me to see him climb the ladder to the first team and established a place within the first team. duff is and will always be my favourite player of all time, he was so exciting to watch as a winger, taking on defenders with his pace and he did score some vital goals for us. I cant fault his attitiude to the club, i just wished that we could have had him a little bit longer.
  8. I was very disappointed with the scoreline as it didn't reflect the effort the lads put in, i couldn't fault their enthusiasm. Our final ball let us down in the final third and our movement was a but sluggish making it easier for the spurs defenders to pick up the lads up front. Brad was immense as usual and had no chance with the goal. We didn't deserve to lose to a team that under performed against liverpool in midweek. I watched the game on tv and i was bloody annoyed with Niall Quinn ripping our side to bits, he aint a quality commentator is he? some of the things he were saying were a load of ######
  9. Dave Thomo played superbly in the middle with bazza, he was in the right position at the right time and set up 2 goals in 15 mins. He was alert and even before he received the pass he already knew what he was going to do with it! I can't say anything more about him, I think he might be our missing link in midfield with tugay on bad form at the moment.
  10. I heard "good riddance to you you effing monkey". The guy or the 2 lads should i say reading the rovers website should be ashamed of themselves and they haven't done the clubs reputation any good.
  11. im doubting tugay's attitude to the game. i will never criticise any one without giving 100% effort but in my eyes i see tugay strolling through games and giving the ball away cheaply. couple of times today he never seemed comfortable on the ball which is unlike tugay. he was a totally different play in the opening stages of the match when he played a lovely ball to set up the first goal. but afterwards everytime he got the ball he seemed to give it away and his head went down. obviously being in his position i would have been gutted being swapped but he needed it because he was one of our weak links in the team today.
  12. how can you have a go at jay? hes a young lad still learning and gainin new experience. he had an off day today and your having a go at him! in the second half jay got stuck in and won some vital headers and he made a couple of overlaps with emerton down the left. hes got a bag of talent in his locker and all it needs is nuturing.
  13. listen instead of being negative to the boys give them bloody support. i know they performed terrible in the first half the crowd needs to get behind the lads to lift them. it was dyer sitting in the terraces with no commitment from the crowd. the lads to be fair gave it all they had and i'm not doubting their efforts, they played class in the 2nd half and we were unlucky with the last effort from dickov whom i thought had a class game. reid is developing into a top midfielder in my estimation, he has progressed massively compared to last season and so has emerton, give him a break he played 70 odd mins for australia during the week so hes gonna have tired legs. top credit goes to the young lad up front, he made a huge contribution, feeding quality balls for reid, emerton and dickov to run onto. gally played his heart out and deserves a place in the starting line up for next weeks game. if the crowd sticks by the lads, something will happen, weve got to believe it.
  14. rovers to win 2-1 with this team: brad neill short nisa jay brett bazza tugay dave dickov janny goal scorers brett emerton (hes on top form and deserves it) and i fancy david thompson or dickov to get a late winner.
  15. my vote would be mark atkins cos he got forward and got some vital goals. he always seemed to be in the right positon at the right time especially lurking at the back post for vital tap ins i.e. against sheffield wed at ewood. he was always a grafter, not a well gifted player but he would always give 110% for rovers since he was a local lad. what a pity it was when he left us for wolves.
