  1. There are similar looking streets in both towns. Ivy Street, however, is the Old Kent Road of Blackburn. I can't help feeling that a similar looking street found in Burnley would at least be an Oxford Road or Regency Street. I hate to compound old and used stereotypes but I am affraid that when it comes to Burnley they are true. I'm sorry but I felt horrible looking through the window of that coach yesterday. People shouldn't have to live like that. Last time I saw housing like that was a documentary about post war Pontins holidays. It's the twenty first century, lads. Even at that end of the M65. Keep up!
  2. The facts are - fergson was not good enough for the Premiership. he was off the pace from the start and despite the fans doing everything they could to see the best in him, he has to go down as one of the biggest non events in rovers history. Tough tackling midfielder? Don't kid yourself. i never even saw him get his shirt dirty, let alone get a tough tackle of any worth in. we did a good bit of business getting 4 million plus for him in the end. if he wants to play in a chip shop league, let him. he was crap anyway.
  3. if i was roman abromovic i would be asking chelsea for my 200 million back. that chelsea performance was tripe and the next half head who witters in my ear about chelsea being this, chelsea being that, should sit down, watch last nights game, and have a quiet little word with theirselves. with attacking players like duff, robben, lampard and (er, I'm stuck now) at their disposal why did they insist on being so negative for 85 minutes. surely they could have killed the game earlier by actually trying to score a goal themselves rather than just stopping us from scoring. also nice to see that the people of blackburn will treck down to ewood to watch chelsea but cant be bothered during the rest of the season. rovers were quality, and whilst most of you probably came to watch chelsea, i hope you took note. i would also like to wish the extra 5,000 supporters an enjoyable day out at the cinema when a half full ewood cheers us on against norwich in two weeks time. whilst i am airing my grievances i would like to express my disgust at sickening comments made by ill educated chelsea fans after last nights game. "what's your problem, abromovic coming to the bridge is only like what jack walker did at blackburn" i need not explain the multitude of wrongs in this most sickening of utterances.
  4. Er, quite obviously, the point in that is that Graham Souness signed the player in question. One last feeble throw of the dice. That is all De Pedro is.
  5. JUDGE - "Graham Souness - this court finds you guilty of gross transfer market crimes. Handed the nucleus of one of the most potentially exciting teams in British football, in Damien Duff, Matt Jansen and David Dunn, the footballing world was your oyster. Initially you rose to the challenge - adding Friedal, Thomson, Bent and Cole to the bare bones. Indeed you were rewarded well - A cup Final victory and a top 6 Premiership finish. Then in the Summer of 2003 you set about a transfer market crime spree that saw some of the most baffling signings in football history. Are you familiar with the name... "Javier De Pedro"? Graham Souness - this court believes that you are a serious danger to football supporters, player's you didn't sign and large transfer kitty's everywhere. I sentence you to a humiliating spell at St. James Park." SOUNESS - "I took my eye off the ball... we're all big boys... our luck has got to change..." JUDGE - "Graham Souness- you are a disgrace! DO ONE!!!"
  6. Legs are for standing on. What are bums for? Sitting on? Talking out of? It is a well recognised scientific fact that excitement causes one to rise to ones feet. However there are those amongst us who find that excitement causes them to remain seated and tut endlessly for the next 90 minutes. Perhaps you should try a nice film at the cinema on your next free Saturday?
  7. If Dunn is Rovers through and through, why did he leave to join Birmingham? The actions don't quite match the sentiment there. The only thing Dunn is through and through is a stereotypical, self-centred, modern day Premiership footballer. He instigated that move out of Ewood then tried to turn it on Souness to save face - very unconvincingly. All Souness said was that Dunn could perhaps concentrate a bit more on his football. Oh dear, call my lawyer, get me some counselling, I don't think I can go on. See you later, Dunn. Take your toys with you.
  8. Forget those two racist idiots who totally disgraced themselves yesterday, that apart, has anybody ever known an ex-Rover get such an icy reception from our fans!?! Is Dwight Yorke really the biggest waster to pull on the blue and white halves?
