  1. It was a strange programme. At one point he had a “ mod-ish “ haircut and at another point he had flowing locks a la Tim Sherwood. I used to get my suits made by “ Mr Senior “ in Rochdale. A great tailor. When the postcard dropped through the letter box telling me to go for another fitting my mum would go mad - “ not another bloody suit, I don’t know where you get your money from ! “ I always had two pairs of trousers made with the jackets, the lightweight cloth wore out between the legs easily. I’m not bragging.
  2. He’s got a very nice line in suits. It reminded me of my hand made mohair suit days.
  3. Not a gig as such but Bradley Wiggins has a programme about Mod culture on Sky Arts tonight at 10-30. It was quite interesting examination of what it meant/means to be a Mod.He finished with a short interview with Paul Weller that got a bit sticky at times.
  4. He certainly looked a real player going off tonight’s showing.
  5. Pass of the night. He’s such a funny player Lukaku. Some games you don’t know he’s playing and some games he’s a real threat.
  6. Procol Harum - Whiter Shade Of Pale The sound of the summer of ‘67. I’ve had a bit of IT training so prepared to be bored with old videos.
  7. Looks like Rochdale have been rescued by a knight in shining armour. Local millionaire/billionaire Sir Peter Ogden is set to take over. Then we hear - “ Who’d be interested in Rovers ? “
  8. It certainly felt like it. Let’s see what he goes for when he leaves Palace.
  9. Walker’s had a great career. He’s still as quick now as he was when he was younger. A very difficult opponent for any winger/wide player. I remember seeing him playing for Sheff Utd against the dingles at Wembley and thinking - “ that left back can play a bit “. That’s where he played that day. Best player on the pitch in that game.
  10. Gladys Knight And The Pips - Baby Don’t Change Your Mind
  11. Arthur Alexander - Soldier Of Love The Beatles did a good cover of this.
  12. It’s a miracle we get the crowds we do. Supporting Rovers under the the Chicken Chokers is only slightly preferable to knocking nails through the back of your hand.
