  2. Hes not going to make these players beter. he has to get more out of them. giving all for the shirt is the minimum he said Halftme &, subs didnt come out to warm up. Probably full team meeting with the new manager after dire first half. Response came there none. Then tthey see him hugging there guys after the match. As someone above said, players are being let off blame. Some being undroppable doesnt help.
  3. Eustace getting friendly with - even hugging one of- there players at the end after the game Right in front of our fzns. A big mistake and shows poor judgment imo.
  4. Andy Holt is right tho. The bigger the mess, the better the owners. Stands to reason. The same in any business and shows how much some fans know. 🤭
  5. This is why I hate the word 'owners'. Cringy. Majority shareholders. They don't 'own' anybody.
  6. Anyone who's worked in a company making redundancies can see what's happening. It's a car crash.
  7. Great support still. Sometimes ironic. But the club? The chickens are coming home to roost I'm afraid.
  8. You do wonder how significant Travis's absence from the current set up will be. His expendable captain. It was a big call by JDT
  9. Could be a simple case of shithousery off the pitch as well on it. Manager needs to get rid as he's stinking the place out.
  10. Travis situation became obvious last game of the season against Millwall when he was subbed at half time. We need players sharpish. Cash in on Wharton and buy quality now - not in the summer. It'll be a tragedy if we end up flirting with relegation again. Inertia will kill us as a club. Get moving, Venkys.
  11. No. Came from the singing section. Mixed up with songs like 'Were f***ing s***' and the like, cheering madly when we got a corner etc. They were booing our players when they came over to the supporters at the end. I couldn't help myself and had a go at them for it. 😜
  12. My take. Huddersfield had eleven players behind the ball from the very beginning of the game. Sometimes packed into their own penalty area. Very unambitious from a home team but it worked perfectly. We fell right into the trap and concede. Naive from our players and manager. A toddler could have spotted it. Someone asked how Telalovic fared. He looked up for it and battled their big defenders. Why was he put on? No-one passed to him still less created so much as a half chance for him. We had no plan on the pitch for a big, centre forward substitute. He was completely wasted. Rubbish. At the end, our academy lot were still full of running even if the game had gone. Garrett, Travis, Wharton, Carter. Pride. Finally, second half chants 'We want our Mowbray back' and other similar. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
  13. It was a very quick getaway from Ewood and Mill Hill area today. Very little traffic relative to usual. But we had a big crowd. What' happening? That tells me the tickets went to the right place: fans and families local to the Blackburn area. Well done to all who helped organise the fans' takeover today. Let's hope we've got a plan to build upon it. Shame about the result. JDT has built a playoff team. Without a playoff squad. KTF.
  14. It might also be connected with search terms on the internet. That's my guess. Especially in the headline TBF.
  15. Rovers' future mortgaged to Adam Wharton sale? Maybe also JDT's? Perhaps not in this coming window. A Dack-style injury would be a financial disaster for the club if this is the actual scenario.
  16. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12791603/Lucas-Neill-Socceroos-bankruptcy-jail-broke-fortune-lost-West-Ham-Premier-League.html Lucas appeared at Preston Crown Court last week.
  17. We're a more complete team this season, Gav. Brilliant tactical move to put Brittain on their impressive full back straight from the start. Took out their threat. Brittain was as important yesterday as any other player. Just not a highlights role. Dolan shook hands with Brttain when the full back got subbed off. Job done. That allowed Garrett to come on and finish the game for us. Let's hope his project gets another season. And the funds it deserves.
  18. Exactly that. Sammie and Tronstadt are irreplaceable in the team. Our way of playing depends on them doing their jobs more than any others. I get the impression that Adam Wharton is playing within himself. Maybe to avoid injury and scuppering a future move. The Stoke team have no identity on the field. Some of our passing, not shown on highlights, from front to back, was impressive. They couldn't match it even in the second half when they had all the possession. It was like watching Mowbray's Rovers. Our team and style of play is an advert for our manager. Other ambitious clubs in this division will be watching.
  19. Rovers Pompey was often a needle game in those days. So was Rovers Soton, too, at one time. Around 1978? When their star player Steve Williams came in for some stellar on-field treatment. I recall seeing Rovers away at Fratton Park around the same time (late 70s, early 80s?). Micky Quinn was the target of much abuse from players and supporters in those days and earned a reputation. More of a mard man than hard man, though. I remember him spitting into the away crowd that day. And laughing about it. Imagine trying that nowadays.
  20. Agreed. I think we'll miss his hyper-competitive attitude in the middle of the park as much as his technical ability. That's not something we can replace easily with a simple change of personnel. Ditto Sammie Szmods.
  21. Sammie must be a nightmare to mark. He'll draw attention away from other players giving Dolan and Wharton space to hurt PNE. The Norwich centre forward dived. That's so commonplace nowadays it almost escapes comment.
