  1. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but a lot of other clubs give a much wider access to tickets. Could the club not have a ticket office in the town centre for example? Not designed for season tickets as such but having this will attract 'passive' shoppers who might decide to spontaniously buy some match tickets whilst they have some cash in their pockets.
  2. Quote of the Day... I do believe there are safety issues involved and there is no other comment to make as I do not want to give Robbie Savage any more publicity. I am fed up to the back teeth with him. Hmm, wonder if Steve Bruce stills bears a grudge? Get over it you granny lookalike!
  3. I feel bad about this but I cant make saturday's semi as i'm running in the London Marathon the day after. Satuday is the only day I can register and will have to get down to London early doors saturday. Considered not doing it, but I've raised over £1K for Breast Cancer already so impossible. Gutted as been to every single round so far and I just know that we're gonna beat them. I'll make up for it by going all other home/away games but that's life I suppose. If we win, I might even run in my rovers kit!!! I reckon we'll take closer to 20K
  4. we know a song that gets on everybody's nerves...repeat about 100 times from blackburn end late 80's
  5. Rodney Marsh has just said on talksport radio that it's a banker home win for liverpool tonight. Entitled to his opinion he may be, but I really don't know why he dislikes us so much and always predicts defeat for us....Surely a team who hasn't won at home since the 1st week in Feb cannot be down as a banker home win. Also, we've conceded 1 goal in the last 5 and are gathering a bit of momentum. He said a few months back that we would struggle to get 25 points. OK we were pretty dire at the time, but when asked the same question in January (after we won 2 on the spin) he still said we would go down. Great player in his time, but lets hope my favourite radio station and journey into work isn't ruined by this arrogant twit for much longer! I'm not bitter
  6. The man of the match awards seemed to go to Stead in most newspapers. Although he scored and I'm delighted for him, Reid was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch. Took the game by the cruff of the neck and was always an outlet for our defenders. He also drove us on, tired out the Everton midfielders which ultimately meant them hoofing long balls up to 'Big Dunc.' Without a doubt his best game for us
  7. sorry to duplicate if this has already been asked, but is there alcohol served at ewood tonight or is it booze-free like celtic was?
  8. Anyone know whether the brown cow, waters edge etc are gonna be open before the game, or is it better to have a few on the ground?
  9. we won a shootout vs newcastle up at st james' in 1998. i think dunny scored the winner and was the coca cola cup. remember the heatrbreaking shootout vs west ham the season before? hendry skying one into row z of the blackburn end!
  10. not sure if this has already been posted but this is a quote from our neighbours manager: "I like Jose Mourinho. He is a top manager, who says it as it is. Until you are a manager and have been in those pressure-cooker environments, you can't understand what it is like" - So says, erm, Dingledome boss Steve Cotterill.
  11. Kieron Dyer (absolutely no respect for being in such a priviledged position) Rodney Marsh (arrogant rovers hating idiot) GlennHoddle (arrogant hypocrite) Diouf (need i explain) Sepp Blatter (not got english footballs best interests at heart and could destroy football if not careful)
  12. just announced that the 3rd dingle that invaded the pitch has been sent down for 5 months.
  13. Some serious trouble between notlob and dingles back in the late 80's at turf moor. I think it was a 3rd round cup came (which notlob won) and the police had to lock up 100's in various stations around lancs. If memory serves me right, they played each other 7 days later in the league without any trouble. I think the mayor publically called for calm after the first fiasco and there was no repeat of violence. Was it 1989?
  14. The platform from great xmas results (playing 2 up front) was there to be grabbed but we have now gone backwards. Shame really as even though our stikers have not been firing, their confidence will now be shot to pieces by not making the squad. If we're gonna play 5 in mid, then we need a runner. Thommo could do this but he looks like a little boy chasing chickens round a farmyard. We must get positive against Norwich, otherwise it makes us look like we know we aint gonna score and will give the advantage to the opposition. I think we've got Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton soon after so it's vital we get 3 points. Come on Rovers, you can do it!
