  1. Weren't season ticket holders supposed to get UEFA cup home games for free?
  2. 3-0, a wonder goal from Tugay, we score a penalty (Jeffers) at last and Benni scores again. Great! Obviously well happy but whatever Hughes is saying to them at half time can he say it before kick off in future?
  3. This may seem a bit tenous but on Boxing Day 1981 we played our home fixture against Oldham at Boundary Park because our pitch was frozen. We played in our red away strip but it was technically a home game. http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...,,10337,00.html Can anyone find anything better than this?
  4. I agree. I knew this would happen, our record at Upton Park is not good. What makes it worse it the media bias before the game, it was all about Pardew and West Ham getting back to winning ways, nothing about us at all. But do we deserve it after this performance? We had our moments but West Ham hassled us of the ball all game and we couldn't cope with it.
  5. I've worked out that our penalty goals difference is zero. We have missed 3 and saved 3 so far this season. Does anybody get that horrible feeling when you know that the keeper is going to save it. I thought Roberts would have blasted one down the middle. Totally gutted but I must learn to accecpt it philosophically.
  6. Hello everyone. I've searched tv guides etc. We have definatley got audio commentary on Rovers World for tonights game. No live tv coverage tonight as far as I can tell. The second leg is live on British Eurosport, a number of internet tv guides have got it listed as being on and that would explain the advert on Eurosports website. Try http://www.ukhotmovies.com/tv-guide/ Hope that clarifies things a bit.
  7. Fantastic stuff, reminded me of the 1-0 win against Newcastle in 1995 as well. In the off season last year a friend of mine asked me what my ambitions for Rovers were for this season. I replied saying sixth place would be great, he laughed and said we had no chance. So there it is for all you doubters. WE HAVE DONE IT! I thought this would go till the final game of the season as and I think a lot of other fans thought the same judging by the poor crowd tonight. The ticket office said Sundays game was selling well. It will be my dad's first game at Ewood! I'm giving him a crash course in rovers history etc.
  8. On current form you are not far wrong. Some of our performances recently have been really inept. Tonights result is a disaster. We always do this, we even nearly blew winning the title. And remember all those slumps in the 1980's do deny us promotion. I've got a feeling that will we need to beat Man City at home on the last day of the season to get sixth place. Please please please please Rovers do not throw this away. I hope the break does them good. I really do.
  9. My feelings from last night:- Terrible officiating, not the best Rovers performance. When your central defender gets man of the match you know you've been under the kosh. We showed a lot of bottle to get the equaliser. My head says 'that point could be more valuable than we realise, as everyone has got difficult run ins' My heart says 'oh my God we're going to mess it up big style' I think FSP should replace Dickov for Saturday and keep the midfield Pedersen, Savage, Tugay and Reid. Todd to replace Zurab. Has Todd still got dead leg problems? p.s Get rid of that drummer! Gene Krupa he ain't!
  10. Hang over from Wednesday? We were very poor today, we looked tired especially Pedersen who I thought looked knackered. Our defending in the first half was dire to say the least. We have had a lot of games recently and it is bound to take it out of the players. Don't blame Kuqi, he was no worse then anyone else today, apart from Bentley looked sharp but he had few chances. I don't see how having a better striker would have helped in a performance of this dire quality. Better result next Saturday? I hope so.
  11. David Bellamy! Stupid hairdresser. Lawro is a bit like one of those old women who get peoples names mixed up all the time. He finally said some good things about us though, but he can't really say anything else after we put 4 past Man Ure can he. Might watch the highlights into the small hours.
  12. Yeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss! In dream land at 4-1 up, got very nervous at 4-3 but we held on. Come On! Going to West Brom on Saturday and I can't wait. Over the moon. Hope Savage is ok. Proud to be a Rover.
  13. An exellent report Phil, I'm no accountant but that made for very interesting reading.
  14. I have never really rated Dickov but boy don't you miss him when he's not there. I am thinking wouldn't this have been an opportunity for Mr Jansen if he had been still with us. We need one striker but who?
  15. Plymouth play Burnley at home on Saturday, won't it be great if Derbyshire scores the winner against the dingles!
  16. I agree, this is such a boost for us and a bit of a surprise really. I can't wait for next season now.
  17. Viewing the stadium from block UN3 it we didn't look as physical as maybe it was. I went with a friend who supports Plymouth Argyle so he was fairly neutral and he was disgusted at the referee not picking up Arsenals play acting. Our fouls were noticed! A Liverpool fan on 606 said our fans are a disgrace. I think we did ourselves proud as we out sang Arsenal for most of the game. Seeing a sea of blue and white on the way to the ground was really special and moving. No matter what people think of us we are the best! Lets hope we bounce back against Palace.
  18. Hello everyone, just got my ticket. I'm a Rovers fan living in Plymouth and a mate of mine who is a Plymouth Argyle fan is coming as well. Pretty good bloke, £45 to watch a team he doesn't support! Any tickets left over will I suppose go to Arsenal as they have sold their allocation now. By the way no bad comments on Argyle they hate Burnley as well as we do! Think thats why my mate is going to support us. COME ON YOU BLUES! The ticket office said tickets sales been very poor aprox. 15,000 and blamed prices, distance and kick off time, also said that the way they were supposed to sell i.e. in blocks was unfair as well. I think a lot a smaller clubs would struggle to sell their allocation, the way the FA are doing things will only work if big clubs get to the semis. Here is something that made me laugh, Torquay asked MK Dons how many away fans to expect for Torquay v MK Dons and they reply was 9 -25 fans! Imagine if they got to the semi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
