  1. We were struggling before, but after the world cup break we have completely and totally collapsed in terms of any kind of shape, idea, form, desire. I don't know what sport we're trying to play, but it's not football. Managers want time. But things keep getting progressively worse and more hopeless. I see no signs or clues of any kind that the this team can play well under the current direction.
  2. Is this club for real? Are these strikers? What in the bluest of hells is this. How can they take a salary for this?
  3. I'm sorry how is Gally a footballer. I'm really sorry but that kind of touch would get you released into the National League.
  4. I perfectly understand our financial restraints and limitations. However, unless we are in complete financial meltdown, I do not understand why window after window we have several players leaving in the very first week or two...while we don't begin to hear of even half-serious incomings news until like days before the window closes. I don't understand how this is being allowed to happen.
  5. The good thing is we have some great young talent in the team, Garrett and Adam can be special. Hopefully Dolan is back soon, he is very much included. The less than good news is we are getting overburdened with injuries, and some replacements, like Edun today, are woefully below standards. At least track the opposition, what else are you there for? Brereton has done his best the last few games to fly under the radar and not get noticed by clubs - so I really hope he signs a contract. What otherwise is his plan, to sit on a bench of a Prem team, lose all confidence and waste his career away? I really hope GB is given some funds for January, and more importantly that he uses them wisely.
  6. People have said Dack is playing well, and he is getting much of the ball, but he's had a host of opportunities to produce the killer pass but nothing so far. A younger Dack would have created 2-3 goals with those chances. Hopefully fortunes turn in the second half...
  7. These 10 minutes are pretty much a season killer. All momentum and positivity is dead and buried after this.
  8. That move near the end that ended with the Gally header straight at the keeper was fantastic stuff from us, top notch...except for the finish. Great run from Gally but you have to do better there...hope we don't pay for it.
  9. Pele is the legend of legends. I haven't at all been interested in the 'goat' debates recently...but this man was what football is all about. RIP.
  10. ...and how is any of that good, or ok? United were hated for a very good reason. If integrity counts for absolute 0 and all that matters is winning...I for one have no interest in a sport like that. Would rather watch curling.
  11. I personally have not seen Croatia dive, and I watched all their matches. Or Japan. Or in fact England, bar Sterling - I don't recall Kane diving for England. And others. So I disagree that everyone does it. But those that do profit significantly.
  12. I feel as disillusioned with football as I have ever been. Only oil money and billionaires win club football. And with the success of Argentina, Italy, Portugal it seems mostly just lying, diving, cheating football wins international competitions. That's the true key to success. What's the point?
  13. Would one or two of the Saudi lads be worth a try? lol
  14. Spectacular attacking play. Saka magnificent, and so many others did great. Defensive shaky, but the biggest offender was VAR. Absolutely no sense how Iran's situation was a penalty while Maguire and Stones both being brought down in 2nd minute wasn't.
  15. While I have no idea about the group there, it's been striking to me how unaware people are that there are millions upon millions of South Asian fans, and indeed fans around the world, who are big fans of the Brazil, Argentina, England, and other big footballing nations national teams. In general it would not at all be unusual.
  16. England 3-0 Iran Netherlands England Denmark France Germany Croatia Brazil Portugal
  17. I was completely against Qatar being awarded the world cup, but to be honest, there is a little bit of selective outrage taking place. The Premiership has Man City and Newcastle...the Champions League has PSG....in 4 years the World Cup is largely in the US... People will say the difference being that workers died building stadiums in Qatar, which yes is as horrible as things get - but I fail to see why the other government sanctioned or at least government tolerated human rights abuses taking place in the other nations/partnerships mentioned would somehow not be deserving of a boycott either. FIFA, UEFA, all of that is corrupt to the core and must be rebuilt from the very ground up. If or until that happens...for myself I feel I'll watch football and tournaments as they come, because it brings family and friends together like nothing else can - or just stop watching and following it entirely. But partial boycotts of some things - like the Qatar world cup - I see no purpose in.
  18. Well, we sank, and sank with an anchor tied around our necks. Great that JDT has up to 3rd going into the break, but we cannot keep collapsing like this when pressed by quality teams. JDT needs to find the solutions.
  19. Two youngsters barely with any senior minutes between them starting the biggest game of the season so far...well sink or swim time I suppose.
  20. Raya makes Spain's squad but De Gea misses out. Imagine someone telling you that 3-4 years ago...
  21. LOL football is crazy. I did not think I would see a 10/10 penalty score for Rovers in my time.
  22. Some surprising good results tonight, both QPR and Shef U losing at home. It's really only the dingles that have very few losses... time to correct that!
  23. Well, still wouldn't make less sense than being bought by a bunch of chicken farmers who haven't stepped foot at Ewood in close to a decade now...
  24. Sunderland really enjoying Mowbray's post match interviews I see. No worry lads, I wish you another four and a half years of this: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/tm-post-match.1593148/ Absolutely bonkers that they gave him a contract.
  25. The game is about winning, but such a massive amount of our ability to score goals depends on Brereton that we will be in a terrifying position if we lose him for whatever reason. Gally is doing well this season but the other strikers are miles off.
