  1. Ciao Max, I'm from Blackburn but now I live in Milan. As you can guess from my handle I'm an Inter fan here in Italy. Did you know that Rovers matches are nearly always on SKY CALCIO channels? Why did you choose Rovers? --------------------------------------- Ciao Max, sono da Blackburn pero adesso habito a Milano. Ovviamenta da mio 'handle' io tifo per l'Inter e Rovers. Sai che Rovers sono spesso su SKY CALCIO? Perque hai scelto Blackburn?
  2. I think it is worth it too... my Palace supporting colleague has Palace World and he gets about 1 min of highlights. We get about 5-6 per game. Think Neil is good on the commentary... the other guy sucks though. If you don't live in England it's well worth it.
  3. There was a case two weeks ago in Italy where Luca Toni was sent off for elbowing a Parma player. This is an automatic 2 game ban in here. The new Italian reveiw panel looked at the video which showed the Parma player holding Toni's shirt and the big man trying to shake himself free without making any contact, the player then went down holding his face. The review panel removed the two game ban from Toni AND GAVE IT TO THE ACTOR! They have won a lot of support for the move - even in Parma. This happened after the game but it shows clearly the support video evidence has from the public. IMHO the sooner we have video evidence the better - will it really slow down the game longer than the players waffling on to the ref?
  4. They do go to the home games, I should have specified the away games I'm mainly sending them updates for. I guess they enjoy it a bit more than for instance the BBC's bland match updates: "63:53 Foul by Lucas Neill (Blackburn) on Nwankwo Kanu (Portsmouth). Lucas Neill (Blackburn) dismissed for second bookable offence. Indirect free kick taken right-footed by Glen Johnson (Portsmouth) from own half, passed." Let's just say that when Lucas was sent off I was a bit more explicit and scathing... The other thing is that all the above places have a Rovers bias, the Italian commentators generally are fair with their observations, so quite often they are asking what the Italians made of it.
  5. Here in Italy the costs for a season are as follows: €310 for Inter season ticket (Sector247) €32 for the first three champions league games €199 for a 12 months subscription to the 'calcio' channels There are 15 calcio channels which show: Nearly every Serie A match - big games on the 16:9 channel. Every Premiership match Big Budesliga, La Liga and Ligue 1 matches. So to watch all the Inter away games and ALL Rovers games from my sofa is £134 To watch all the Inter home games is £210 Total: £344 My friends in Blackburn want me to text them with updates from the game!
  6. It would be a little ironic if Palermo made it through playing clean, the city isn't renowned for that kind of thing. In terms of devaluing of the CL I have to say that if they didn't cheat and the clubs above them did, then they are there on merit. They would still have to get through the qualifiers - and if they do then they wouldn't devalue the CL in my opinion. As an Interista obviously I'm hoping for a Juve relegation (they would lose €140m in TV rights for next year and €80m from the sponsorship of TAMOIL) and I'm hoping for AC Milan to be docked points meaning my replica shirt will have a little shield in green, white and red next year. In my opinion Inter have earned it, they play the best football in Italy and have (now unsurprisingly) been hit with incredibily hard decisions during the years I have been here. As a sidenote every single Rovers game was broadcast on sky italia this year, at first I just had a trickle of Italian visitors to watch, now I regularly have 6-7 'tifosi' round to watch the lads!
  7. They could have tapped Berlusco's phone, but as per the law that he had passed it would have to be approved in Parliament to tap a politicians phone!!! As an Inter fan and season ticket holder for the last four years I feel a little short changed to say the least. It was so obvious that nobody really believed it - if that makes any sense?
