We were never going to roll out the red carpet for Ashley Barnes, particularly given his behaviour in the derby last season.
It was intensified a bit yesterday as it was him. Don’t think it’s like that on a week to week basis, in fairness.
It was all a bit lame.
But hey ho, suppose it shows where we are.

It was definitely patchier, loads of ST holders around me didn’t trap and it looked like it too from the highlights.
Heading into March with one Saturday home win since October will do that.
Next season’s sales are going to be grim.

Dingle Derangement Syndrome, we saw evidence of that yesterday with pretty much every chant based on Dingles and former Dingles.
We are getting as small time as we used to take the piss out of them for being.

If we’d have sold him for c1million, we’d have replaced him with nobody, maybe some other 20 year old from Brighton’s academy on loan. So every chance our collapse down the table would be even more severe.
The lad is a solid Championship striker, and let’s be honest, as limited as he is when he does go he won’t be replaced with anything as good.

Everyone one is entitled to his/her opinion.
Also , he was managing the club this season and couldn't have given 2 shits about the results .
Just played his own little Pep game !
You said he should have been sacked last season, which is a daft opinion (that you are of course entitled to, just as I’m entitled to call it daft) considering it was a good season for the club in league and cup, especially when you consider our resources and dysfunctional set up.
Nobody would disagree that the club needed to make a change in the end. Maybe earlier, but this club doesn’t do such things.

He should have been sacked last season? Missed out on the play offs on goal difference (highest finish in a decade) and two good cup runs?
Behave, Waggy.

Pears on a long contract, so a nice profit there.
No problem, sure there are loads of Scandinavian keeper gems we can find with some of that (the rest can pay the leccy bill for July).

Jack Walker looks ok. I imagine both the JW and BEnd Lower will look fairly full by KO, as will the Darwen End, so job done for Swag when it comes to camera facing areas.
End of the day with the club in this low ebb we are not suddenly going to see a massive turn out for a BBC1 midweek against a mid table PL side.

Did make me laugh today when one of the 47 Dingle related chants was ‘Siggy, knock him out!’.
Couldn’t knock the skin off a rice pudding, that one.

Pickering on more than Gallagher and on double of Hedges, aye ok.
-
The club has no issue with that, look at Buckley and Travis for evidence.

‘Yeah, but look at their gates compared to ours’.
There’s always another excuse.

Jack Walker isn’t looking horrendously bad, I suppose. I imagine most tickets will be sold over the weekend and then Monday/Tuesday.
But yes, big bumper last 16 crowd it won’t be.
Lets have it right this club is in the doldrums, big time.

£100k? That's a tad optimistic 🙂
Got my decimal point in the wrong place. £10

If that football had led to promotion then of course, yet more seasons in this league at £400-£500 wouldn’t.

An Indian fan on twitter is adamant it's all political and will resolved overnight with a change of govt over there.
So if they are holding off until after the elections we could be in for a long wait !
Modi’s lot are about 10 points ahead in the polls, so yeah looking forward to selling Whalstedt for 100k to keep the lights on for a day in 2027.

Total boycotts will never, ever happen, so zero point banging on about it. A core just want to watch a game of football involving 11 lads in a blue and white shirt every other week and that’s that.
A boycott of sorts has happened already. We have gone from c20,000 ST holders to at times under 7,000 on their watch and they haven’t batted an eye lid.
13 years and folk still treat them like normal owners.

But of course they’ll receive three years worth of huge parachute payments, as needed, so they can get away with mistakes.
The rest of the league alas doesn’t get such luxuries.

‘Finish in the top 16!’ can be the new mantra throughout the club now they’ve quietly shelved the style of football one.

Hmmm not sure that was the actual reason Big Col went back to Scotland…

Right team, wrong manager or vice versa, alas we’ve never had both at the same time under this lot.

It shows a distinct lack of ambition by the CEO.
He'll be employed with the remit to keep us in the league - both this year and going forward - with a shoestring budget.
Look forward to being big, physical and good at set pieces for the next few years.
‘A progressive model of playing throughout the club from the under 9s to the first team’ didn’t last long, did it…

Not happening, the tide has turned again judging on yesterday. The odd anti-Waggott chant which was either joined in with or ignored by the folk around me the other week was this time met with ‘shut the fuck up and get behind the team!’
So as a few of us predicted a timely managerial change has nipped a burgeoning groundswell in the bud - Swag and Suhail do the exact job these owners pay them for.
