Eustace getting friendly with - even hugging one of- there players at the end after the game Right in front of our fzns. A big mistake and shows poor judgment imo.
Come off it.
To piss you off even more he was hugging the car park chap, receptionist and tea lady on the way in and nothing wrong with that.
He was treated appallingly by the new owners at Brum, he'll suffer the same fate here too.....

Lads quality at this level, get him signed up, we need all the help we can get.
Whilst we are at it, get Gallagher signed up too, we've missed him badly whilst he's been out injured.

Equally as important as the 3 points yesterday was the show of dissent in the stands, it certainly improved my mood seeing the banners on show aiming this latest fiasco at the clowns at the top table.
Well done to all concerned.

I can’t say I’ve seen The Bear on Netflix, a series the rest of the family keep saying, especially one episode in series 2, is the best bit of Tv they have ever seen!
Praise indeed, I’m going to give it a go.
A 3rd series if The Bear is set to be filmed later this year, this news on the back of its success at The Emmys.
I've started to watch the first series, superb stuff, catch it on Disney+ (Thanks Islander200)

Shout out to the 1200 Plymouth fans making the 800 mile round trip to Sunderland today.

JDT's style of play doesn't suit what we have now though, it's undeniable. We've conceded the most goals in the league, most from set pieces, we've not won a league game for 2 months and put in some abysmal performances along the way. He's also failed to beat/lost to Sheff Wed, Huddersfield, Rotherham & QPR.
Why did his style of play suit us last season and not this?
Do you not think a crippling injury list and zero budget has played a major part in our failings this season? Or how about not replacing key players that have left over the past few years?
Some of the football in the past 2yrs, at times, is the best I've seen in over 20yrs watching us. Could he have adapted his style to the usual mundane shite seen week in week out in Championship? Maybe, did I want him to, nope.

Sheff Wed did us proud last night beating Brum which, and only due to my insomnia, I watched.
I hope the deadly duo take advantage today v Stoke, which one will have to do the iPad routine......

I'm surprised it never cured that insomnia pal, I watched the second half, like watching paint dry.

Agreed DE.
I'd also put the Sheff Utd FA Cup game up there.
Ok we lost the game, but the lead up to that tie, the ticket sales flew off the shelf, arriving in Sheffield to see thousands of Rovers fans was sight I thought I'd not see again. The match was scintillating, the result not so much, but to see over 6000 away fans at Bramall Lane, we could have sold 10,000, just proves this club still has the pulling power, we just need new ownership for the fans to come back and that will happen, its only a matter of time.

Well one things for sure, Eustace ticks one of the key components coming into this job, he's worked with bonkers owners who don't understand the game. Imagine sacking a manager who has dragged the club from relegation candidates to playoff contenders in little more than a season, then having the foresight to replace him with Weetabix head!
Welcome to the funny farm John, I wish you all the luck in the world, you're going to need it.

Well said gav. I'm completely with u. Haven't been under these bastards for 10 years which hurt me deeply as I said before I used to enjoy taking my mum and she enjoyed it but unfortunately she died in October now she'll never experience that feeling again. Those bastards have taken that from me
This club will rise again my friend and when it does, you can take you place at Ewood once again and do your good old mum proud.

I didn’t go against QPR because the bastards sold Wharton at the first opportunity.
I won’t be going tomorrow because the bastards have forced a good manager and a good man out of the door.
They can shove the Newcastle game too, I’ve given my tickets away.
Of course I hope we beat Stoke, but as fans we must try to get these bastards out of our club, by hook or by crook.

This will be the narrative in years to come, much like "Lambert was lining up the Celtic job", which was also bullshit.
The owners pushed both through the door with lies a deceit, its as simple as that.

Wonder if he's refusing to sign an NDA and that is holding things up ?
Wouldn't it be fantastic if someone finally really spilled the beans.
I loved his honesty tomphil, wasn't scared to speak his mind and held those above him to account on broken transfer promises.
Fingers crossed on NDA, I hope he comes out and slaughters them.

It's fair to say he was a slow burner and the style of football he played was menial and predictable. Burnley and Preston either side of the World Cup break almost broke me and my patience was wearing extremely thin. Then something changed. He found a way to play which was exciting and it was at times exhilarating. Some real high points half way through the close season the bombshell thrown by the owners left us all bewildered and in truth fearful. A good start to the season and then from December onwards we fell off a cliff with some awful performances both individually and collectively. I believe there were some mitigating factors here but ultimately a manager lives or dies by results. The manner of his departure though is something I personally will not forgive or forget and the part played by certain people should have them hanging their heads in shame.
He was honest, perhaps too honest for some but for me it was a breath of fresh air. Whilst the players didn't have a personal relationship with him I am told that they all respected him and he treated them all the same and importantly fairly. Perhaps he was the right manager at the wrong time as he was given next to nothing to work with.
I wish him well and will be watching his progress with Sweden keenly.
Excellent post Tony.
Best manager under this lot by a country mile and they found a way to bollox it up.
He took them by surprise last season almost finishing in the playoffs, that having lost key players in the summer too. They couldn't allow that to happen again and here we are.
I wish him all the best for the future, he's been treated appallingly by the club, a club I don't recognise any longer.

I’m pretty convinced if you let Big Sam make all the decisions for 3 years you end up in the Prem.
Not without a transfer budget Josh, but I understand the sentiment.
Any new manager coming in has zero budget, it’s all heading one way.

I know what the bigger picture (and problem) is Gav, but that doesn't make JDT a 'very good manager'. Maybe his cheeky smile has you hoodwinked.
His cheeky smile seems to have lingered longer with you than it has with me 😁
We'll see how this ends up.

He should have been sacked for that alone.
And he followed that up with a 4-1 home defeat to the other local rivals.
I didn't see it, but even if I had, right now I'd see the bigger picture.
We have lost a very good manager due to the club being in the gutter and I expect us to be relegated as a result, forgive me for not celebrating his departure.

And something like 1 win in the last 11 last season (the last game) so roughly 10 in 40
He was forced to play academy players nowhere near ready, he was forced to play players not up to the Championship standard, injuries have hit us massively. Look what he did in his first season before funding was pulled and several players walked for free and were not replaced.
He will go on to bigger and better things, its clear he has something special about him as a manager.

Stop people talking about JDTs departure and the disgraceful events and woeful ownerships and talking about the new dawn under our new manager John Eustace
It won't in our house islander200.
As soon as the offical announcement comes, our tickets are going in the bin and we won't be going again until we get a change of ownership.
The only power we have as fans is to withdraw matchday support, thousands already have, many more I'm sure will follow.

I was sat with a Brum fan for most of the day yesterday and he was telling me they're not playing badly, they just can't score at the minute, the chap that scored last night has just come into the club in January.
So last night was pretty much true to form, Brum created plenty but couldn't finish, it could have been 3/4.
As for out lot, nothing changes really, we are a depleted squad cut to the bone financially and that doesn't change with a change of manager. Our only hope is we have players returning to fitness and they will make a difference, but will it be enough.......
