He's playing well, he's so much better than everybody else that he plays at least 'well' pretty much every game, in the sense that he does a few things that nobody else could. And if any scouts were at the Watford home game just before Christmas they'd have been banging the door down as soon as the final whistle went. He was streets ahead of everybody else on the pitch.
He's a young lad who isn't ready for a full season in Championship, he will have dips in form as a result and I couldn't agree more with you frosty, he's quality.
Its galling both Scott and Adam have come through under these owners, they'll both be mismanaged and eventually forced out of the club, when actually, they both should be playing Premiership football with Blackburn Rovers.
We need these owners out, clear the decks, forget any sale, just get rid.

Never been a massive fan of Talking Heads either. They're alright but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to them.
Like any right minded individual I worship the ground The Smiths walked on.
A lot of Blackburn 'football lads' from 80's/90's were into Talking Heads, I thought they may have played a gig or 3 at King Georges but I couldn't find anything that confirmed they ever played in the town.
They all followed New Order, but not sure where the Talking Heads obsession came from.

England were around 103-3 at lunch I believe, which was going at 4 runs an over, which is unheard of for teams touring India, but they failed to capitalise on that after lunch.
As OjF says above, 250 is about par on this pitch, if we have the bowling attack to trouble India....

That’s surely a mock-up Gav?
Im struggling to work out how The Smiths could be on the same bill as the Pistols, for a start.
You know what, I never even gave it a 2nd thought OjF, but yes you're right, the dates don't add up at all 😏

I've been to Wrexham will less than 700 at the game, but all credit to them, just goes to show what good ownership can achieve.

Has anyone been in The Butlers at Pleasington recently? Got a family gathering coming up, looking for a place to gather.

Yes Gav,they may well have been lining up but of what quality/calibre?
Football these days appears full of Chancers and Bullshitters.
There was indeed only one Jack Walker.
Wasn't it Ian Battersby and Ian Curry who put forward a joint ownership proposal to Venkys but didn't get an answer? A consortium with Rovers fans at the heart of the bid?
Not sure if they would still have an interest, but it would be a great time to find out!

Who on earth would want to buy Rovers!?
Even if Venky's gave us away and wrote off their £200millionish losses, any new owners would need £30/40 million for working capital purposes plus, most likely, getting on for £20million to buy back Brockhall (though not sure what the caveats are around Brockhall following its sale).
If someone out there wants to make a real go of it by appointing some quality management from top to bottom and have a 'war chest' for player acquisitions then I would suggest they need getting on for £100million to throw at it.
You'd have probably said the same about Bolton and many other clubs that have been mismanaged by unscrupulous owners. But with every passing year I fear the pool of suitable buyers is diminishing, we had them lining up 2015'ish, but I doubt the same interest is still there now, from key players with Blackburn Rovers at heart that is.

even bury and maccesfield are on the upward curve after ridding themselves of terrible owners
My only concern about getting rid of these Charlatans, is we get more of the same in a desperate bid to find new owners. But even with that potential pitfall looming, I’d take the chance.
Blackburn Rovers are just about existing right now, nothing more, we deserve so much better as fans, as a town and as a football club with such an illustrious history.

11 hours ago, Eddie said:I think those hoping, wishing, or even happy with the thought of administration are delusional.
There's every chance that could be the end of this club.
In my mind, you're all at the other extreme to those who think everything is going smoothly. You're just as wrong.
The hope here has to be that Venkys are put in a position where they either have to sell or decide this is all more trouble than it is worth.
How do you see Venkys being put in a position to sell Eddie?
They have had numerous opportunities to open talks, speak to potential buyers and refused mostly to engaged, its now been around 14yrs, how long should we wait?
Everything about the club is second rate, budgets cut to the bone and that will continue until these lot sod off. If the only way we can get rid of them is through administration, I'd take that now and everything that comes with it because I have a feeling we'll end up there under these owners anyway, only with much more debt.
I don't believe that is a delusional position to take, especially when you look at other clubs that have been through similar circumstances over the past 10yrs and come out of the other side.
We are Blackburn Rovers, we have an illustrious history, large fanbase and had a fine reputation until recently, this club will not go to the wall.

All things being equal, players coming back from injury and they don't sell Sammi, we have enough to stay in the division, but it only takes another terrible decision from Pune and we are in the mire.
Nobody should be surprised at the current predicament, you sell your best players and fail to reinvest and replace with inferior players, eventually the well runs dry and we are fast approaching that position now.
JDT is the best manager we've had since these morons arrived, but he can't work miracles with no money, a massive injury list and academy players not ready for the hustle and bustle of Championship football. He will probably walk in the summer and we'll get one of the journeymen doing the rounds and its back to square one, rinse and repeat, so be careful what you wish for.
I say it all the time, as do many other posters, but our situation doesn't get any better until the owners sod off, we might have some initial pain in the short term, but we need them gone as this club has very little more to give, its broken and needs fixing.
Venkys out.

Yep, he was hugely disappointing. Think he fancied a position on Rovers' coaching staff. Never taken to the guy - goes back to his playing days, a bit of a sulker in my eyes.
Yes I think you're on to something with the coaching position Mercer, but as a player I loved the guy, always gave everything, I was gutted when he came back after his broken leg and did the same leg again against Palace.
Wretched luck.

Sell Sammie and just play Leonard until the end of the season, great idea Gally 🙄
He never said that did he?
Reading the comments above, I was going to have a listen, having given up on Gally after his King rat support and fence sitting back in the day.

I know what @Paul Mellelieu is trying to say and he’s making a valid point. There are no guarantees of anything with administration. It’s easy to be so blasé about the effects. With Admin Rovers would drop like a stone.
The preferable route out of this is what I posted earlier. That’s for Venkys to do their utmost to find suitable owners and hand the club over. I’m not saying it’s even possible to find anyone who could come close to putting the money in that they have done. I doubt that it is.
It’s time for them to move on for sure. Administration won’t be something rovers would recover from for a very long time in my opinion - if ever.
The longer these owners are behind the wheel the bigger the car crash when inevitably we hit the brick wall. Right now we are struggling to pay wages and keep the lights on, with 'billionaire' owners, owners who have zero interest in raising capital through growing the club, its mindboggling incompetence or they simply do not care.
I'd take the final option right now den because our options diminish with every passing day sadly.

Worth noting Preston’s financial precarious position. Administration would be a disaster for many local employees and for local suppliers, so in the short term we can only hope the money keeps coming.
I understand the point you're making, relegation from Premiership was probably worse if truth be known, but what is the end game here Paul?
You talk about money coming in for the 'short term' but what does that achieve? Disaster in the longer term?
Something has to give and we need to think bigger picture I'm afraid.

1 hour ago, Mercer said:Thousands have deserted Rovers and it will take feckin seismic changes to get them back.
I understand the sentiment here, but the fans are still out there, they'd be back in droves if we got into the Premiership, no doubt about that. My faith in our support has never really dwindled, the away support is phenomenal, the Sheff Utd FA Cup game almost brought a tear to my eye on the support front, simply outstanding, I'm getting goose bump now.
Get rid of these shite owners and give the fans something to get behind and the club can return to where it belongs, but until Venkys piss off we are in limbo, I just wish more matchday fans would see it and do something about it.

If Rovers are ever purely fan-owned, it will probably be in the National League…unless we find another 10000 season ticket holders…a massive shirt sponsor and sell a player for £10m profit each season…
I’d take that now to be honest, nothing improves until this lot sod off.

I must admit I had never considered how difficult it must be for people who are visually impaired to do a simple thing like walking down a street.
When you think back the clutter on our streets has grown exponentially.
Even having a guide dog is no help if you're forced off the pavement and your dog is hit by a car.
I was driving through the Dearne Valley between Barnsley and Doncaster earlier today and saw 3/4 large gangs of people litter picking on the duel carriageways. This area was mining communities in years gone by and has been replaced by carriageways, roundabouts, industrial estates and outlet shops.
Litter can only come from people travelling in cars......
Credit to these pickers, young and old in the freezing conditions, thankfully we still have some selfless people in this world.

Have you reached out to Kamy for alternative main stream media contacts?
Always found the likes of David Conn , Henry Winter , Jack Gaughan and the independent as better outlets, than don't rock the boat LET
Henry was all over the Reading stuff at the weekend, supporting the fans against another abhorrent owner. He never shyd away from the Venky stuff either, Nick Harris was another.

Well that stings. Always thought he was top class. Would love him back here.
Premiership quality on his day, another very good Mowbray signing, but his wages are probably 4/5 times what we pay these days, never going to happen sadly.
