But surely its experience we are lacking? JDT has referred to that himself. More L Plates are not the answer.
I don't disagree, JDT tried to bring in the experienced Danny Batth on a free from Sunderland in the summer, but the owners refused because of his age, he went to Norwich instead.
With Venkys extensive footballing knowledge it seems that rule extends to loan signings too, thankfully we are in good hands, what wonderful owners we have 🙄

I know there is, I know plenty like that myself, but for the likes of us it’s obviously much more than that or I wouldn’t be on here right now, and neither would you.
Ah, sorry I misunderstood the point your were making, yes me and you are goosed, far to invested in Venky hatred and such like 🤣

Supporting a football club isn’t purely about watching the team though, is it, or we wouldn’t get so impassioned about it all.
For many yes it is, I know many fans who fit into that mould, I also know many fans who just want to watch games, any games, doesn't have to be a supported team.

I always look forward to the FA cup. Hoping we see a win and good overall team performance.
Bought my and missus tickets yesterday.
When push comes to shove its all about supporting Blackburn Rovers the football team, not spending hour after hour sat in an armchair on the internet slagging of people in suits many have never met (I'm guilty too).
As Ossy says above, enjoy the game, after all this is what its all about isn't it?
Rovers 3 Cambridge 1

I've calmed down a bit since yesterday on the Travis departure, now we have a few more of the facts.
Its seems like JDT has sanctioned the move unlike the Buckley debacle and Travis wants out to play regular football and nothing wrong with that.
Broughton has a very good record spotting players in my opinion, lets hope the 2 new lads are as good and help maintain our Championship status.

Yep. And a manager who in that league set us up the get the most out of the players he had and didn’t over complicate things.
Give me that kind of manager any day of the week if it gets us promoted.

‘All’ on Broughton? No other guilty parties we can think of for this mess?
Spot on, Broughton can only wee with the willy he's got, we know where the real issues firmly reside.

The big part of the reason we bounced back from league one last time was the experience of Mulgrew, Graham, Smallwood, Downing, Conway, Bennett plus buying the leagues best player in Dack.
If we were to go down in the next two years I’d worry more about doing a double drop than bouncing back.
You forgot about Mowbray?

Anyone manage to read the recent JDT quotes in LT ?
I read his quote on the day he joined us and it mentioned making us "A sustainable Premiership Club".
I'm just not seeing it? 🙄

We need more bodies in the building not less, this side is running on empty right now. Will getting rid of Travis keep us in this division? That is the fight we could be faced with over the next few months?
Venky W*****s.

The series about the scandal of the postmasters and postmistresses with the always excellent Toby Jones is worth watching. “ Mr Bates versus the Post Office “ on ITV at 9.00 pm.
Watched 3 episodes so far and I’m sat here fuming. What a bunch of arseholes, ruined lives and couldn’t bloody care less.

By my calculations we currently have 5 first team players out injured, we had zero budget in the summer to bring anyone of note in and allowed our top goalscorer to leave on a free transfer.
Is anyone surprised we’ve hit a sticky patch?

Broughton has to go for me. The summer recruitment has been as bad as I can remember. Most of those signings are playing a division or two above their ability level. What a shocker.
He had no budget, they pulled all funds in the summer. He couldn’t even sign Bath on a free transfer from Sunderland, the experience we are crying out for.

Not sure why you ask that but I'll answer anyway, last month...why?
Which game?
The reason for asking is you seem to be an expert on current player fitness, something you’d only know about if you actually attended games regularly in my opinion. Watching them tracking back against Watford especially was telling and the games are coming thick and fast.
It’s not the only reason the side is struggling, but it’s one major factor for me, these players are running on empty, the side is lacking quality too, due to the owners pulling the budget in the summer and we are where we are.
Im surprised anyone is shocked to be frank.

Sammie Szmodics has to be one of the best buys since the morons bought the club.
We’ll not bring in money like we did for Armstrong, but his all round contribution to this team is nothing short of phenomenal.

I’ve been watching a 9 part documentary on The Vietnam War on sky documentary.
Harrowing, controversial, dirty politics, murder, just fascinating, a must watch if you have an interest in history and war.

Happy New Year everyone.
Lovely day here in South Yorkshire, in stark contrast to the trip over for the Watford game which was biblical even by M62 standards.
Rovers are really struggling right now due to injuries and shear number of games played, in an ideal world we'd be resting players right now, but the owners have cut the staff to the bone and we wee again with the willy we've got.
Rotherham have picked up of late under Leam Richardson so this won't be an easy game, but to send the doom mongers back into the shadows I'm going for a Rovers win.
Blackburn Rovers 2 Rotherham 0
Come on you super blues!

Some tripe being talked on here, just for context, thanks to JH:
1) The budget was slashed mid-transfer window with zero warning from India, all targets cancelled.
2) Despite claims to the contrary, it was confirmed that there was an embargo on signings in place, which was so strict that it even prevented us signing Batth on a free/low cost short deal from Sunderland even though JDT had identified him as what was needed in defence.
The owners once again have shafted the manager and his colleagues, like they did with Mowbray at the back end of his time here, meddling in first team affairs, like they did appointing Coyle over Warnock, like they did backtracking on promises to Lambert and selling players like Cairney behind Bowyers back.
Nothing improves until those rats sod off.

They've conceded less goals than us but that isn't really the point.
As 47er says we need experience in this squad, he would have brought that, but our owners know better and continue to meddle in 1st team affairs.
