  1. The players were happy last season otherwise would we finish 7th last season? We were 7th in December but then the wheels came off and we were in free fall. Maybe some players wanted a change of tactics or how set plays were done or some tweaks to the playing style. I still want us to play good attacking football whilst being good defensively and score goals from set pieces. We didn't need to be so open in play looking back or don't play inverted full backs or play out from the keeper as we discussed earlier
  2. Matt Wright from Huddersfield Town has replaced immediately. Whether he is a director we will see whether he is list has a director of Rovers on companies house website
  3. I have listened to GB's interview with Elliott Jackson and I really enjoyed listened to him. He answered the questions and he has a plan how he would like to move the club forward playing squad wise and transfer wise. I agree with GB plans how to use the Wharton's money into 4 parts and it is a sensible plan and hopefully the board will listened to him. Given he is in charge of the footballing side he should be listened to. Will he? we will see. it is clear who was at fault for the 3 failed deadline day transfer signings and it isn't GB. It is people above him and as I have stated previously who I would have sack over this I will listened to the Andy Bayes one tonight on my way to work
  4. I found Scott Wharton interesting about JDT's man management style, playing style and him being dropped for the Burnley game. Scott is still feeling gutted about being dropped by JDT for the Burnley game which JDT did ballsed up. Scott Wharton wasn't at his best form last season but was that not down to being a bit part player and lack of game time. Which is fair comment but JDT did over achieved and players seem to enjoyed playing under JDT. Catch 22 situation here.
  5. Looking forward to this game and I can't wait for the game. I think it will tough game but given that the players have been in for training for most of the international break, I think it would have helped the players and Eustace get some training in on tactics, set pieces and more understanding what Eustace wants from them. I would stick with my starting 11 team selection I've posted on page 1, and I stick with my prediction of 2-1 Rovers win. Come on Rovers get those 3 points 🔵⚪
  6. Abbey, no point you coming on this thread if you aren't going to discuss the interview and what he said. Anyway Abbey, enjoy the day.
  7. Abbey, if you actually listened to properly, you would know that the interviewer gave the reason for the interview. Did you not hear that? Secondly, I have not mentioned Venkys in my post specifically. What I mentioned was what GB said in the interview and what we learnt new from the interview, Thirdly, I repeated my original point that 2 people should have been sack for the McGuire transfer failure and GB is not one of those people just to make it clear and simple for people.
  8. It us EFL development week. Ends today. He spoke about our academy and the pathway for them here at Rovers
  9. The reason for the interview was about EFL development week as it said at the start of the interview. So he hasn't gone rogue
  10. It about the price of tickets whether it season tickets or match day tickets here. Plus a good CEO who can grow the fanbase, improve match day experience for fans, improve the commercial operation plus appoint new people to the Commercial and marketing departments. Plus a new club secretary, Finance director and new Deputy CEO. Next season ST prices should be £200 for Riversidel, £250 for BBE and lower JWL stand. £290 for JW outer and £330 for JW central. Prices for seniors and young adults should be 25% less and under 12 should be 1 with 12-18 being £50 all areas. Match day prices should be midweek games £10 to £15 with weekend game being £15 to £20 with a few special offers throughout the season like 2 games for £20 or 3 games for £35
  11. I think Southgate is a quality manager and he is rightly being linked with Man Utd manager job but also I would lie him to carry on as England manager until after the next world cup. Also last night game was a friendly and yet people reaction are Over The Top comments again. Also look at players who would be in the starting line up or near the line up. Players like Kane, Saka, Alexander-Arnold, James, Grealish, Shaw and Kalvin Phillips, while Ben White didn't want to be selected. My squad for the Euro 2024 would be Keepers- Pickford, Ramsdale, Pope Defenders - Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Tripper, Tomori, White, Midfielders - Rice, Bellingham, Maddison, Gallagher, Maindo, TAA Forwards - Kane, Foden, Grealish, Gordon, Watkins, Saka, Rashford
  12. Firstly, I think we learnt several different things from the interview. The interview was done cos it was EFL youth development week. The failure/blame for the McGuire transfer isn't his fault and it was admin error and we all know who is to blame and in my opinion that 2 people should have been sack for that already. He doesn't have the authority to do the transfer paperwork side. He made it clear that Hyam and Szmodics weren't targets or on shortlists before he arrived at the club which contradictor what Waggott has said previously to someone on here. He has made his recommendations what Rovers should do with the Wharton's money which I agree with his plan. Use some of transfers in the summer, keep investing in the academy, etc. plus use some of it towards the season debt also which he didn't say but gave 4 clubs as example how they did it when received huge transfer fees and how they spent it. He also gave the board 3 head coaches to replace JDT with and it was the board decision who they appointed. He has direct contact with the owners but mostly he goes through Pasha and the board of directors. Also said he that Venkys problems in India won't affect Rovers summer spending plans. Finally, it puts to bed people saying he is gardening leave or set to be sack cos clearly he isn't.
  13. Won't be this week as LT reporter Elliott Jackson is on holiday in the USA so I guess it will be next week
  14. Has they been any consequences from the Failed transfer of Duncan McGuire of any staff member losing their job?
  15. yet again Mark, I am fully aware of that but we have to still belief in our players and head coach unless what's the point in being at Ewood Park supporting the club, Eustace and the players
  16. Ipswich are a good side but we are more than good enough to beat them. Cardiff beat them 2 weeks ago. So they aren't unbeatable. People need to believe in this team and stop with this deafest attitude people have.
  17. The club secretary is very experience as is the finance director and the CEO of the club. Has they been any consequences from the Failed transfer of Duncan McGuire of any staff member losing their job?
  18. England have been excellent in the last 2 games and we are playing some good exciting rugby under Borthwick now. We have clear plan of how we want to play now and plenty of different options in different positions
  19. No games at this level are easier games. Rovers are much better defensive whilst our attacking intent we had under JDT isn't there but given that Eustace has barely had 1 training session a week with the players until last week. JDT had 2 games against Huddersfield, 2 home games to Rotherham and QPR which we only got 2 points from them.
  20. Very good open game of football between United and Liverpool. Very enjoyable for the neutral fan to watch.
