do you actually believe anything out the venky propaganda gobs or are you just in full WUM mode?
Abbey, if you actually listened to properly, you would know that the interviewer gave the reason for the interview. Did you not hear that?
Secondly, I have not mentioned Venkys in my post specifically. What I mentioned was what GB said in the interview and what we learnt new from the interview,
Thirdly, I repeated my original point that 2 people should have been sack for the McGuire transfer failure and GB is not one of those people just to make it clear and simple for people.

I’m not debating that. I’m saying he also spoke about things which have nothing to do with the academy.
Yes he did.

That’s as maybe, but he didn’t just talk about EFL development.
It us EFL development week. Ends today.
He spoke about our academy and the pathway for them here at Rovers

Well, given the interview wasn’t via the club’s own media department, if Broughton has gone off on one without authority he will soon be working elsewhere.
The reason for the interview was about EFL development week as it said at the start of the interview. So he hasn't gone rogue

Tried this on Twitter yesterday. All you get back is fans explaining how Ipswich get 28,000 fans, have a much bigger catchment area and are a much more exciting proposition to investors. When you try and rationalise that with:
They had ~15K fans prior to their turnaround in fortunes due to good management and ownership
A lot of the land around them is farm land, it’s not full of houses with families.
The North West is the hot bed for the countries football.
They can’t give you any rationale explanation and end up insulting you. Our fan base is completely brainwashed into thinking this is all normal and there’s no other way out. Which is exactly why any protests will fail, sadly.
It about the price of tickets whether it season tickets or match day tickets here. Plus a good CEO who can grow the fanbase, improve match day experience for fans, improve the commercial operation plus appoint new people to the Commercial and marketing departments. Plus a new club secretary, Finance director and new Deputy CEO.
Next season ST prices should be £200 for Riversidel, £250 for BBE and lower JWL stand. £290 for JW outer and £330 for JW central. Prices for seniors and young adults should be 25% less and under 12 should be 1 with 12-18 being £50 all areas.
Match day prices should be midweek games £10 to £15 with weekend game being £15 to £20 with a few special offers throughout the season like 2 games for £20 or 3 games for £35

I think Southgate is a quality manager and he is rightly being linked with Man Utd manager job but also I would lie him to carry on as England manager until after the next world cup.
Also last night game was a friendly and yet people reaction are Over The Top comments again.
Also look at players who would be in the starting line up or near the line up. Players like Kane, Saka, Alexander-Arnold, James, Grealish, Shaw and Kalvin Phillips, while Ben White didn't want to be selected.
My squad for the Euro 2024 would be
Keepers- Pickford, Ramsdale, Pope
Defenders - Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw, Tripper, Tomori, White,
Midfielders - Rice, Bellingham, Maddison, Gallagher, Maindo, TAA
Forwards - Kane, Foden, Grealish, Gordon, Watkins, Saka, Rashford

Firstly, I think we learnt several different things from the interview.
The interview was done cos it was EFL youth development week.
The failure/blame for the McGuire transfer isn't his fault and it was admin error and we all know who is to blame and in my opinion that 2 people should have been sack for that already. He doesn't have the authority to do the transfer paperwork side.
He made it clear that Hyam and Szmodics weren't targets or on shortlists before he arrived at the club which contradictor what Waggott has said previously to someone on here.
He has made his recommendations what Rovers should do with the Wharton's money which I agree with his plan. Use some of transfers in the summer, keep investing in the academy, etc. plus use some of it towards the season debt also which he didn't say but gave 4 clubs as example how they did it when received huge transfer fees and how they spent it.
He also gave the board 3 head coaches to replace JDT with and it was the board decision who they appointed.
He has direct contact with the owners but mostly he goes through Pasha and the board of directors.
Also said he that Venkys problems in India won't affect Rovers summer spending plans.
Finally, it puts to bed people saying he is gardening leave or set to be sack cos clearly he isn't.

You can be the most experienced in the world - but if you're stretched, you're stretched, and thats where mistakes happen.
Has they been any consequences from the Failed transfer of Duncan McGuire of any staff member losing their job?

2 wins in 20 Chaddy.
yet again Mark, I am fully aware of that but we have to still belief in our players and head coach unless what's the point in being at Ewood Park supporting the club, Eustace and the players

Ipswich are a good side but we are more than good enough to beat them. Cardiff beat them 2 weeks ago. So they aren't unbeatable. People need to believe in this team and stop with this deafest attitude people have.

I think thats gross negligence from employees and/or the people in charge of running the club employing inexperienced people into key positions to keep the running costs low.
The club secretary is very experience as is the finance director and the CEO of the club.

England have been excellent in the last 2 games and we are playing some good exciting rugby under Borthwick now. We have clear plan of how we want to play now and plenty of different options in different positions

Cracking game. Thought the ref should have used decression when he gave a second yellow for player celebration. Winning goal with 10 seconds to go and he applies the letter of the law.
Totally agree there

In fairness, if we're comparing, JE's games have been far easier - and some we should have been winning (teams around/below us).
He's now got plenty of time on the training ground before the next game, against a team full of confidence.
The next few games will give us an idea of whether JE is up to it or not...No games at this level are easier games.
Rovers are much better defensive whilst our attacking intent we had under JDT isn't there but given that Eustace has barely had 1 training session a week with the players until last week.
JDT had 2 games against Huddersfield, 2 home games to Rotherham and QPR which we only got 2 points from them.

Very good open game of football between United and Liverpool. Very enjoyable for the neutral fan to watch.

I wouldn’t be putting Carter straight back in after such a long absence. I’d stick with the two lads that are playing there at the moment. On the other hand Eustace may go to three at the back with MacFad played to keep Moore quiet. Who’d be a manager ?
I would put Carter straight back in. Same as JRC. I wouldn't go to back 3. Don't think its suits us to be honest overall.

Eustace does not get the Stoke win, that is the official club position, wake upIf that's your opinion fine but Eustace was on the touchline and involved in subs and given players instructions on the field. That did happened. Since JDT left it's been 9 points(1 win, 6 draws and 2 lost) from 9 games. We had scored 9 goals and conceded 9 goals
whilst in the previous 9 games under JDT its was 6 points, (1 win, 3 draws and 5 lost). We had scored 10 goals and conceded 21 goals.

With a bit of luck we should have some more players back then too.
Carter and JRC will be back
2 hours ago, RoversClitheroe said:He's yet to win a match though against much worse opponents? Will it prove costly.
Didnt we beat Stoke when Eustace was on the touchline second half and had meetijgs with Johnson on the Friday night before the Stoke Game?
He has made us harder to beat and we look much better defensively. Slow building blocks
-
We will know the results of other games and it is down to us to get the 3 points. Lets be loud and cheer the players to victory and 3 points.
My team would be
Pears
Brittain Carter Hyam Pickering
JRC Tronstad
Hedges Szmodics Dolan
Gallagher
Subs:- Wahlstedt McFadzean Wharton Chrisene Buckley Ayari Moran Sigurdsson Telalovic
I will go for 2-1 Rovers win with Szmodics and JRC scoring

Good overall performance and clean sheet. Shame it was only a point but its another point on the board and we moved on to the Ipswich game in good spirits and I think we can win against Ipswich at Home. Its a shame we couldn't get a winner at the end of the day
I think moving to back 4 suited us better and Tronstad being back in the team and doing what he does best is vital for this team.
Best players for me was Hedges, Hyam, Brittain and Tronstad.
I thought the song that the Rovers fans sung was good and straight to the point, its about Rovers and nothing else matters.

well at least we know they have approaches from potential buyers.
Wouldn't want to lose Szmodics inn the summer if we get the right offer tho and a chance of PL he will go. He will go with our best wishes and his performances and goals this season have been outstanding.
