Ball number 2 tonight....i'll take the worst team left in at home please, if we're cursed and get a tough away day then i'll take Spurs. Great new stadium, big allocation, day session, and they can still look like an incredibly average team at times.
Would absolutely hate Burnley in either the next round or semi/final...couldn't take it.
Winners of Southampton v Grimsby has to be the one to get ....please !!!!

BBC TV local news in the West Midlands has just run a piece on the complaints from WBA fans about problems they have been having getting to The Hawthorns for recent matches because of ongoing traffic issues causing big holdups and gridlock in the area ... hope those attending tonight have given themselves plenty of time !

For a long time this was my nearest league ground, and had many visits there over the years to see Rovers ( rarely with any success).....
Luckily, I have recently moved further away so won't feel guilty about not attending this time...Hope for a scraped draw, but expect a Watford easy victory.

Anyone want to update us on what that ref card was for? Couldn’t see anything worthy of a red from here…
Threw the ball at the Midd player's head....could have been a yellow really but still a stupid thing to do

Buckley...idiot

This fixture brings back memories of a long Boxing Day drive to get to Ewood in 2001.... only to watch Niall Quinn and Kevin Philips give a masterclass in forward play that tore us apart (0-3),but hoping for better today !
Think we can get a win, but would be OK if it was our first draw....

Having moved house to live quite close to Birmingham only in the last couple of weeks, and my son being married into a Birmingham supporting family this is an awkward one. But from what I hear, they don't fancy their chances much, so I am hoping for a narrow win ( 2-1).
But, I have a feeling it will be the first draw of the season..... -
Memories of making a special trip to Ewood on Boxing Day (2001) to see us play Sunderland. Almost had to beg the ticket office for one of the last few seats......saw us lose 0-3, and we were torn apart by Niall Quinn and Kevin Phillips.
Hoping for much better tonight ... -

Chelsea apparently want Potter from Brighton
Would be a good choice, but I think they will go for Pochettino

Tuchel sacked then.
Brendan Rodgers might just fancy a move from Leicester for that one .....

BBD 2-3 ....too late though

Because WBA played Mon & Thurs this week ( due to the Commonwealth Games in Brum taking all police resources last weekend).

Just watched the game on the Rovers website - have to say that is the first game in a very very long time when I could see that the team had a proper plan worked out, and were executing it all the way through. Lots of signalling to each other, especially when they lost possession, and JDT giving instructions from the line.
Very impressed with Hedges performance, and Edun looked like a new player too.
Very optimistic about the new approach ( if we can get the squad depth to where it needs to be)

Nice finish from BBD though....shame

QR started much stronger , we looked nervous and not sure of the system perhaps. Few tackles flying about and Buckley could have gone off with a second yellow...
Improved and had a v good spell leading up to a great goal from Travis. Not brilliant, but not bad and an acceptable first 45mins of the season....

A little more snow than that in the Midlands this morning, but now stopped and thawing rapidly and no more forecast for today - going to be cold but can't see this game being under threat.
Expecting it to be a tough one, but hoping for 1-2 ( would accept a draw).
