  1. No, not at all! I think if you read the thread all the way to the beginning, you would have realized this. No big deal!
  2. I think you misunderstand DrummerBoy. AESF has chosen to no longer participate in this thread. He is not banned as you seem to think.
  3. I wonder if Souness requested that Bellamy not play in the St James fixture as part of this deal? Sort of like a gentlemens agreement between Rovers and Brum for Savage last year to not play at St Andrew's ? Just a question I would have liked to have seen brought up. I like the signing, but can't help wonder if the one year out clause has to do with protecting the player if Rovers get relegated.
  4. I have never been accused of trying to attain a degree in English from a reputable university but from the quote John Williams makes "Changing the name is definitely something I'd consider if it helped our ambitions." I don't think it's done and dusted. Maybe just a possibility
  5. 2-0 Rovers. Morten Gamst Pedersen to stuff both past Lehman I can feel it in me bones
  6. Steve Bruce All of Manchester United, and anything associated with Manure Kerry Fraser (sorry not football) Ben Kingsley- Who cares if somebody doesn't call you Sir. Dwight Yorke That is all
  7. "Down there they slag everything about Scotland. After my first game back for Rangers the other night I had about 20 texts from the boys at Blackburn saying things like '7-1? U must B glad 2 B back in such a good league!' I guess we now know why no BRFC players have ever registered here at the site No text speak allowed
  8. What? Again? Bring absolute joy to my summer? That's Nellie in the first row, far right... I wonder how many players are left in the team from that picture?
  9. what about us aussies when are we going to be treated with a visit, im sure it would be a great idea to have a premier league club out here in the english summer because that is just before the new australian league is about to start. Wouldn't be a problem with me emerton I live in Canada so depending on if they go to the USA, how far away would they be for me to make plans. If they were in LA or Dallas or Seattle, its out of the question. But this company over here are gonna make an annual event of bringing over European and South American squads. I think when Rovers played DC United a few years back, it wasn't part of that promotional tour I am speaking of.
  10. I wonder with all the Americans in the squad, will we be seeing a summer tour this coming July to the USA for Rovers? Edit- I realise that Nelsen is a Kiwi, but he did play his footy for an American based squadron
  11. It's what they are playing over in Europe right now, but not North America!! No need for the reminder, although the victory over Russia last night brought a bit of joy in this lousy lockout season
  12. I guess my idea of having a linesman in each quadrant of the field isn't so bad after all. Two for giving offside decisions, and two to look out for fouls away from the play and situations just like this one.
  13. Don't really know where I stand on this debate Part of me says we're very lucky to have this healthy debate and not have to go through what these people are going through. On the other hand, I can see Americans Point of view in that I wonder how much is enough? I know that seems like a crass question to ask,and for that I apologise to anyone offended. If the USA would have said they were to give $100 million right away, I think there would still be those out there that thought of this as an insulting amount. Sure Iraq is about oil, but it was also about taking out a leader who was a tyrannical SOB. Kinda like Hitler. Except the US didn't get involved with WW2 until later on and were criticised for it. They get involved with Iraq to depose of a terrible criminal, and they still hear about it. A catch 22 scenario. The US is doing yeomens work for what their economy is going through at the moment. Sure you can blame that on the Iraq war, but really, it's a whole bunch of situations rolled up into one. My own country started with an offer of $500,000 before it went up to $4 million, but with public pressure that ballooned up to $10 million. I dunno what it is today to be honest. The difference here is, my countries' leader is in a perilous situation. He has a minority government and any mistake he makes, his government could fall. Don't want to upset the electorate! Anyhow, give all that you can. The people of that tsunami region need your help in the worst possible way.
  14. Sad news for all that live there. I have some friends that are thinking of making a donation, but are unsure if the right folks will get the help they need and not have it fund some sort of "freedom fighter" group in Sri Lanka.
  15. Mark Hughes in for some DC United player Link EDIT- Nevermind, already announced in another thread.
  16. If Rovers have a chance to sign Gabbidon in January, then this match WILL be a banana skin If they don't have a chance with signing Gabbidon, then we'll stuff em!
  17. Could this be the sole reason for the lack of ticket sales? It couldn't be that simple can it?
  18. Great effort by Dickov, fantastic match by the back four, Friedel when called upon. I am happy we have Steven Reid. Happy to see him healthy finally and showing why he was plucked from Millwall. Long may the results continue for Rovers! Next week, they are on the TV again. Oh happy days
  19. I can understand the shock and dismay some have shown BRFC for the handling of Tony Parkes. That said, the team needs to move forward. It was handled poorly but I suggest it's time to get over it and move on. Onwards and upwards for Rovers!
  20. Just saw the replay and I have to say those were two fantastic goals scored Djorkaeff was brilliant in his pass to Emerton and Brett showed even more with his nifty shot to the keepers near side. It will be scary when we see a fully fit Djorkaeff. Dickov has been a great pickup. Stead still hasn't started his goal campaign yet, and I hope lack of confidence doesn't set in soon, if it hasn't already I was surprised at the amount of empty seats. I now see what some of you lot have been saying for a quite awhile now.
  21. If memory serves, Boro were relegated the same season they forfeited 3 points to Rovers for having 80% of the squad sick with flu. I believe they lost out on staying up by 2 points. Ouch
  22. Maybe its RFW. Wouldn't that be a laugh and a half?
