  1. Yep Yep both Sunderland and West Brom cant win their games away at Preston and Swansea
  2. Unless we want to finish 5th and pip Coventry. Expecting them not to win their last game against Boro (lose or draw)…
  3. According to a dutch newspaper, he is going to Sunderland because they play similar / use a similar formation like Brighton… apparently… https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/sunderland-dicht-bij-komst-van-jong-oranje-verdediger-van-hecke
  4. Its also interesting that whenever we are a goal down, mowbrays substitutions absolutely make no sense in terms of formations or anything, the players no longer know what to do or where to play, everybody plays out of position and its a free for all hoping that something might happen, but usually it never does
  5. Posted one hour ago on his wifes instagram. Doesnt look in very much pain to me…
  6. Exactly what we can expect from a manager who plays it safe, rather than go for it. Can already hear the “point in the bag and we move on” post match comment coming up.
  7. https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/how-southamptons-pursuit-of-blackburn-striker-adam-armstrong-could-spark-ronan-curtis-portsmouth-departure-3338997
  8. If I read the comment from Mowbray being “frustrated” in his post match commentary I am going to slame my phone against the wall.
  9. I really dont understand that he continues to play Bell and Bennet on the back positions, a striker on the wing, all not good enough and some out of position. Its so mediocre, it has been for so long and yet Tony wakes up in the morning thinking its a good idea to do so again. The fact that he doesnt learn from his mistakes and continues to make them over and over again is why he had to go.
  10. When will Tony understand that we will NEVER win a game with Bell and Bennet on the back positions?
  11. Are we still in for Mile Skoric? I saw his team got knocked out of the Euros last week. Or maybe Jan Arie van der Heijden from Feyenoord, who is deperate to look for another club before the closing of the window. Hope Mowbray stays true to his word and brings in some additional defenders this week.
  12. Did seem to have played the majority of the matches last season, whereas that Bormuth guy played 42 minutes of league football this year....
  13. Im not dissapointed we didnt sign the guy. I am dissapointed in the fact that we have seemingly chased someone for two transfer windows in a row and were not able to sign him because in my opinion we are to reactive in the transfer market. We could have signed Bauer ages ago but in stead we waited and waited, then we decided to wait until his contract runs out and, out of nowhere, he scores the winning goal in the playoffs. Suddenly all kind of teams chase him, his ego blows up a bit and we tell him to “fight for his place” etc etc. Then he decides to move on to where he prob is guaranteed play time. I think we could have just handled this whole situation smarter and it feels like lost time and effort.
  14. This is the exact same situation as last year when Mowbray went to India. He came back and acted like there was no money to invest and suddenly we paid 2.5 million for Armstrong and another ~7 million for Brereton. Just because he isnt saying anything doesnt mean we havent got anything to spare. Lets judge him by his actions in the market first.
  15. Same here. I think it depends on boro though and their asking price. They cant be asking too much for a player who didnt feature in their 18-man squad for the past few months and who is on the last few months of his contract. Probably Tony is playing the waiting game here for the price to come to a normal level, otherwise boro run the risk we get him on a free in the summer.
  16. Not enough to be included in matchday 18 straight away, I remember Mowbray saying. Will probably need time either in u23s or on loan. Looks certain to come though, esp now Boro signed van la Parra.
  17. So likely to get Reed and Brereton in next week it seems. Would that be it? Don’t think Bauer is gonna join, hence we went for Rodwell as intermediate instead. Still think Bauer is going to join us in the next window.
  18. News doing the rounds we have again made an improved offer for Ben Brereton. From 6m earlier this week to 8m now. https://www.thesun.ie/sport/football/2998074/blackburn-make-improved-8m-offer-for-ben-brereton-after-nottingham-forest-rejected-6m/ thats a hell of a lot of money if you ask me for an unproven player at this level.
  19. Just seen this on twitter. Not sure if true though, but given the fact we don’t have much else to discuss about right now..
  20. Will dafabet still be our sponsor next season?
