  1. And when that happens, then clubs like ours will be the first to suffer as the only thing that's keeping us competitive is the SKY deal money - without it and we'll be down in the bottom half of the Championship where some might say we deserve to be with our attendance. Better enjoy the Premier League ride whilst it's still affordable.
  2. Just goes to show how many of these incompetent fools that work in the (sport) media know what they're talking about. And to think that they're so powerful that they make decisions on when a manager gets the sack or who gets hired. Sometimes it does make you wonder if our Club even exists.
  3. Voted for Mark Hughes. If we don't vote for him, who else will?
  4. How could you be mad at him for wanting to play for his country?
  5. It sums Mclaren up when he picks a right back to play at left back position instead of giving someone like Warnock a chance.
  6. Yeah because getting a billboard would be so cost effective, wouldn't it? Have you ever thought that perhaps the reason the Arsenal fixture is still on is because it was on the same board as the Sheffield Utd fixture? Can't believe the club didn't get someone to come in with a chainsaw and cut the Arsenal bit of the board off after that game!
  7. And not only that, if you have already been to 3 games, you'll get a tenner off aswell with the Card
  8. He's not the only one. Bolton do the same. If anyone watched them in the UEFA Cup last year, they would have noticed there was two touch lines, one 1.5 yards inside of the outer. I would have thought that's one of the reasons why Arsenal are suffering this season. They're not used to be playing regularly on a larger pitch
  9. The tickets for Everton or Chelsea aren't £36. They start at £27. Which is a huge difference. - But I don't want to sit in the CIS or JW stand, I want the Blackburn end. Well how about the next time you're trying to purchase a holiday you tell your travel agent that you don't want to goto Tenerife for £190 they quoted but you want to goto Barbados for that price instead. It's just bloody ridiclous, if you rather spend your dosh in the pub thats your prerogative, but don't blame the club for the having different price categories, or blame the traffic or the McDonalds for shutting the toilet. Just be a man and state the REAL reason
  10. Innovative was for the high level of personalisation in the direct mail campaigns (name on the back of the kit, etc) and the crm technology used in the emails and the telephone message. I would have a look at the ads for other clubs in the papers- just pick the MEN and see Man Utd and City's ads and then have a look at the stuff the club churn out. Doesn't even come close. I'm surprised at the lack of quality that most (if not all) Prem clubs release. Many of them see the admin side of things as secondary and feel that it's no use spending money on a decent pack when fans will make a purchase regardless of what it looks like. If Coca Cola was to follow that strategy, they would be gone in a matter of months. That will soon change.
  11. They've been concentrating solely on Rovers recently, and there's no doubt that our club desperately needed the help. The team has had the experience working on campaigns for clubs like Arsenal, Villa, Spurs, governing bodies like the FA and Football League and this could only be good for the club. I've also heard that both the ST numbers and hospitality figures are up on last year and if it’s true, then it's the first time that has happened for years. We've seen ads on buses, LET/LEP, personalised direct mails, e-mails, billboard ads and had telephone messages from Mark Hughes. All of which highlight some quite innovative usage of media channels.
  12. As a Management graduate, I can tell you that Rovers marketing are in the top of the Premier League. This is based on the various activities and channels that the clubs utilises in their marketing mix. Another club that excels is Charlton. Infact many other Clubs have looked at our club and in some cases copied some of the stuff that Rovers have done over the years.
  13. I noticed during the NZ game that Bowen wanted Reid (who played on the right) not to take the def on but to cross the ball from the right as early as possible. Also Emerton was brought in not as a carbon copy of Duff (for the right) but as someone who could balance the midfield with Duff having the freedom to take on players.
  14. You're not based in the country yet you feel that the club don't do enough to attract support. Classic
