  1. Really nice genuine guy, will be missed. RIP Kelbo.
  2. Avoid the trailers and avoid the comparisons of what Alien and Aliens were and view this with an open mind and it's a very good Sci Fi movie, the visuals are fantastic and the film is overall a really good watch and worth the admission fee......However there are plot holes and some bad really bad scripting which leads to wooden acting. All in all I put the flaws down to discussion points for after the film and there are plenty to keep your mind working. The film has been getting some really bad reviews but I have to put it down to a generation thing where as the average teen these days wants everything answered and giftwrapped before the end of the film. Dont let the reviews put you off, five of us went and five of us enjoyed it. I did'nt enjoy it, it was far too predictable, try Mel Gibsons Get The Gringo......now that was a good film.
  3. I tend to watch a lot of films, would'nt class myself as a movie buff but I like to try every movie of any era, my old man blagged me to death to watch an older film with Burt Lancaster in called Local Hero, I have to say I have watched this film about 20 times now, I absolutely love it, the scenery, the storyline, the actors are all top notch. If any of you guys have'nt watched it please give it a try, it has become one of my favourite all time movies as it really is a work of art, so many films made this day and age wont even come close, it is truly heartwarming.
  4. Who? "Former Arsenal midfielder Jensen left the club after a meeting with boss Steve Kean before training yesterday with most of the club reeling at the departure of the well liked Dane" Yeh that will change the fortunes of the club. Truly terrible owners, if this keeps up it wont be long before they are the subject of abuse and it would'nt be unjust. It's things like this that make me wish ABBEY was one of the fans on his way to Pune.
  5. Viz comic strip. Aldridge Pryor – a pathological liar whose lies are ludicrous, such as The Nolan Sisters living in his fridge. Pryor is instantly recognizable for his retro dress sense, usually a tartan jacket with a sheepskin collar and a pair of uncomfortable-looking platform shoes. Taken from Wiki, I did'nt have a damn clue either
  6. IS there anybody left to fill that postition? Actualy I agree then he will get every decision to go his way without any friction.
  7. Kean is the manager any result lies with him, not sure how you can blame that on a no 2. So by reading that have the players been listening to Jensens advice rather than Kean's?
  8. After seeing the fist pumps aimed at Kean after the Arsenal result from the Venky brothers I just dont see him being potted anytime soon. I think a more experienced no 2 may well be brought in, either that or one of Kean's choices.
  9. Watched Rogue the other day, a cracking b movie.
  10. OMG please remove these posts straight away from this board!! My misses reads these now and again, if she sees this im buggered.
  11. Was that the one with the Nazi zombies? If so it was a great film.
  12. I was told of a film to watch that I may like called the lovey bones, the book was very good apparently and the film was directed by Peter Jackson. I was totaly blown away by this film, maybe it's because this kind of thing hits a massive nerve with me but the film seems to have received mixed views of the extreme, some love it some said it was typical Peter Jackson and his special effects, yet I remember his earlier films such as braindead which entertained a very minimal budget and managed to become a cult classic. To me this film deserves the credit it is due, it was unfairly rated down because of his work with LOTR, this film is a different kettle of fish and deserves to be treat as such, it has the special effects that it deserves and it only enhances the film but people criticised him for using so much cgi in a film like this but for me it only makes it better. And btw Aliens was so much better than Alien it doesnt compare, Alien was still good in its own right.
  13. I picked somebody up from the airport at 5.30 am and decided to go through Baxenden rather than motorway, it was amazing to see how much snow had fallen in Baxenden only to see it vanish in Accrington. The roads were tricky as hell, I was sliding all over the shop.
  14. Yes they do, only some dont count, predator, harriers and choppergunner certainly count. I think sentry gun and whatever you get from a care package dont count, but the majority do.
  15. I did try it very briefly, im sure I still have a copy of the game somewhere, I couldnt get into it, the graphics were really nice and the gameplay was nice and smooth but the trade skills....wow, I just couldnt get my head around them.
  16. I played horde and ally, had plenty of chars too, on a normal server Eonar I think it was I had a 70 orc hunter and a 70 human rogue and a 70 pally my missus had a 70 gnome lock, the main thing I used to enjoy was world pvp and mass city raids and Alterac valley but when it all went arena and high end raids I felt I couldnt keep up as my job timescales can vary. As for the long ass run to deadmines, I ran my undead rogue to westfall at lvl 14 just to farm one of those damn red masks, was a pain getting through STV but thats what I loved about the game, being able to do stupid stuff like that, then I used to hang around westfall and duskwood once I lvled up to around 25 to try and coax people to scrap, kill a npc and hide I never regret the time I played on Wow either, it took a lot of time but I made some great friends especially from the likes of Denmark and Sweden, they seem to be mad on games like these there.
  17. My missus played too It was ok as the kids were young but as they have grown I found it was best to break away from it, I really dont see anything wrong with it if your family are ok with it too but with me im a kind of all or nothing kind of person and its very hard to be a casual in Wow. I did install the game a few times but I only lasted a month, I think my characters were around lvl 73 and I got tired of the whole lvling process again up to 80 and I soon lost interest, but I still remember now the first time in Deadmines like it was yesterday and the buzz I got from it.
  18. Well done, Wow can be very addictive and if you have family it cause some problems, I was totally blown away by Wow when I first played it, I only moved away from the computer desk to go to work. I played the game overall for about 2 years but on and off, I always distanced myself from the big guilds and did'nt entertain the raids because I knew I would be hooked big time like I was at the first. I dont play it at all now and im glad, infact I dont play any rpg's anymore and leave my gaming to the PS3, I have a lot more free time to actually acomplish things in games, rather than to sit around for 5 hours doing nothing.
  19. I bought Medal of honor on PS3 and ill give you a word of advice, dont buy it. The single player crashes like hell and the gameplay freezes up all time and the team you play with dont carry out objectives so you cant progress, its just full of bugs. The multiplayer is truly awful, the first night I played it I thought it was great then a few days later when I played it again it was just getting worse, It lags like crazy, the weapons dont upgrade anything when you add things onto them, you get killed constantly in suspicous circumstances, you run into a safe place and find yourself dead because of bullet lag, and I dont want to even go into the amount of campers in the game. Stay away from this game as its the most frustrating game I have played for ages and I will certainly be trading this pile of dog jam for black ops.
  20. May he rest in peace, my thoughts go out to all that held him dear. Im afraid that I am a bit too young to have witnessed him play but when I told my old man, he said farewell to another legend of the game.
  21. I played the Beta of MOH on Pc and wasnt impressed with it, it tried to combine BC2 and MW2 and did'nt really suceed at either, im sure it will get better with patches but I thought it would be better.
  22. Watched a great British film called Dead Mans Shoes, a really good revenge based thriller thats been out a while. Was really impressed with the script and acting, well worth a watch. Also watched an Irish film called Man about Dog, a really good comedy about 3 young lads in Ireland trying their luck with a bit of dog racing, add to that some gypsie's, gangster's and a mobile food van and it gets plenty of laughs.
