Then you're bonkers.
Come off it - Pears made probably the worst individual error I've ever seen yesterday - and isn't good enough - but in terms of general play Wahlstedt makes Pears look like Gordon Banks. The former was responsible for either 1-2 goals per game when he was playing and hasn't got a single redeeming feature. He can't even catch the ball.

Fine in theory but to be replaced by? Thats a problem, we have no replacements
Don't care. Anyone with a bit of heart who is prepared to put a shift in would be an improvement.
Ditto Gallagher and Hyam. It's a shame Whaton is currently having fitness issues as otherwise I would drop Hyam without a seconds hesitation and play Wharton and Carter at the back.

Manager needs to be strong and drop Pears/Wahlstedt/Hyam, Brittain and Gallagher.
Can't see anything for us without that and I will lose confidence in Eustace without a very significant shake up.

I've just seen the goals on tv and I'm staggered that Pears tries to blame Hyam for his aberration for the third goal. He is compounding his embarrassment. And for their second Brittain looks like he is towing a caravan trying to keep up with the Wednesday full back who scored. Under normal circumstances there would be wholesale changes for the Coventry game but I'm beginning to fear that Eustace isn't comfortable making big decisions that might upset players. His all too cosying up to the players just doesn't sit right with me.
Agreed. Needs to show some cajones and drop Pears/Walstedt/Hyam/Brittain/Gallagher for good and stop trying to be everyone's mate.

He did though, frequently.
Apologies for the bad language but that's absolute bollux.
People used to complain about his output in the final third of the pitch but defensively he was always sound.

We don't know what is said at Brockhall and in the dressing room do we?
non story for me.
Of course he cares about the result but he has remain upbeat and positive. That's his job.
I think he will be good manager here and given him the summer transfer window to bring in his own players, reshaped the squad into what he wants and pre season and I think we can get top 10 next season.
Chaddy, the problem with your opinion is that if the Club sacked Eustace later today you would perform a complete u turn and say that it was the correct decision.

Who turns like the Titanic, is clumsy and loves a 40 yard cross field ball into touch.
Perfect example yesterday. That first goal would have been in Row Z if there was any doubt. Lenihan was a good defender. Before him I thought Grant Hanley was even better. Does the basics.
Hyam does not and is not.

If VAR is going to look at offside it should require clear daylight between the attacker and the defender.
Those sorts of incidents are not clear and obvious errors by the linesman.
Exactly.
They're meant to be cutting out "clear and obvious" errors not re-refereeing the game.
It's ruining the game chalking off goals because someone has a toe nail or an armpit offside. Who actually thinks that's a good idea? Ditto going back through the action desperately trying to find the most minor of infringements as an excuse to rule out a goal.
Conversely however, when a penalty SHOULD be given by the on field referee but isn't, they rarely intervene for the reason that they claim it wasn't a clear and obvious error. It all seems to be geared up to chalk goals off whichever way round it is.

Doesn't give a shit if we go down he'll be happy to go. Ill be happy to see him go. This lot of players are absolute rats.
100%.
And to think people used to call Ryan Nyambe who rarely if ever had a bad game.

That as well, but we'd be in trouble with decent owners and players like Gallagher Hyam and Brittain in the side.

It's like playing with NINE men when Gallagher is on, useless lump (that our feckless club will no doubt offer another contract for and refuse to sell)
"But but ......he works "hard" and occasionally wins a header in our own box!
On a serious note we've no chance of success until we cleanse the Club of lead swinging twats like him.

If we were neutrals watching this pile of shite I'm sure we'd find Brittain and Hyam absolutely hilarious.

Those two clowns need to be shown the way they've performed this season isn't acceptable and won't be tolerated

pears- he cannot play for us again.
the rest! What has been the game plan? We have made a team in the bottom 3 look like they are Real Madrid
Who's the 3rd choice keeper?
Is it Joe Hilton? Surely to god he can't be any worse than Pears or Wahlstedt.
Eustace should make a statement and sideline them both for the rest of the season then fire them off in summer.

Goal number two was on Szmodics
Shame.
Can't really say too much after his efforts this season.
And in the event looks like it's going to be irrelevant anyway.

Is Gallagher on the pitch?
Notionally.
Absolute piss take.
Fuck off Gallagher, Hyam, Pears, Venkys, Waggott, and Broughton.
In fact fuck off everyone apart from Szmodics.

I think he’s trying not to handle it and give them an indirect free kick. That’s the worst decision making he’s made all day when he doesn’t just get palm it away
Does it not have to be an intentional "pass"?

Not content with fucking up the back pass, he then fucks a second time up by stopping it going over the line - when he had plenty of time to do so.
This has to be his last game for us.
Yep, having defended him on the first goal I have to say I've never seen anything like that. After he miskicked it why didn't he just pick it up before it went over the line?

Half-assed jog back from Brittain there.
Nice of him to put the graft in.
Who was it lost the ball initially? Was it Tronstad?
That was pathetic and who the goal was primarily down to although I agree with you about Brittain losing his man as well.

Spot on.
Wahlstedt does that and people go into meltdown.
Pears needs replacing next season or we’ll keep seeing the same errors.
Quite the opposite.
Hyam does that and it's "Pears" fault.
If "Leo" was in nets it'd be Hyam's fault.

I worked this out yesterday and removing his goals put us on (I think) 35 points.
Of course this doesn’t take into account the influence of the rest of his game.
Good work.
I'm surprised it's that many.

Looked at the goal properly and to be honest, it's a clanger from Pears as well as Hyam there. Pears' "clearance" leaves Hyam with a player either side of him - he should have booted it into the stands but didn't and then Pears is way too slow back to his line.
Neither of them should be starting next season.
Don't see how anyone can place any blame whatsoever on Pears for that. He makes a perfectly acceptable headed pass to Hyam who loses it.
The latter seems to be on a one man mission to send us down.

Despite two goals that was an awful half of football. Both teams should be ashamed people are paying good money to watch this dross. Don’t feel like it’s an important game for neither sides. Let’s hope Rovers improve somewhat in the 2nd half and get this season done with.
I'm never usually remotely happy with a point at home but in the context of the relegation scrap a draw wouldn't be the end of the world today.
I hope we win but I'd take a point now.

Must have panicked in the heat of the moment because I don't think the back pass rule would have applied. If a defender unintentionally slices a clearance and the keeper picks it up then its not deemed a foul because it wasn't an intentional pass.
Interesting hypothetical though - if he had conceded a free kick a yard out- would we have been entitled to line up eleven players on the line making it virtually impossible to score or would they get a free hit?
