Remember when the club used to bang on about how good our European scouting network was. The gag being we never signed anyone from the continent. Until kaminski years later and I can’t recall anyone since. Whatever happened to that or like everything else was it smoke and mirrors all along.

No he hasn't he was great for a spell last season then out of the team but came back well before tailing off again clearly struggling with the style that was being implemented by then.
Was decent enough early this season before struggling even more with what he was being asked to do instead of his natural role. Both those spells he was decent so was the team and results funnily enough and awful players doing get snapped up a team in 2nd place serious about going for promotion.
A very astute singing for them.
That’s the crux of it. Travis is a solid championship player also he's experienced, a leader and gets stuck in, which is what we're desperately lacking at the moment. We’re conceding three goals on average per game. He is a holding midfielder. Travis should be the first name on our team sheet but he doesn’t fit in to a style no one seems to want. Either way loaning him to Ipswich is madness.

If it is any consolation, Cambridge have an injury crisis and their new boss has said the next League game takes priority.
Like a helping of humiliation with our embarrassment at losing?
I suspect makes our humiliation all the greater.

The Blackburn rovers crèche. Looking after players until their mummies come to pick them up. Swag can make himself useful and do balloon animals.

I’m getting very close to the edge with rovers now and nearly past the point of no return. Recently through the turbulent Kean through coyle years and the mediocre years under moggadon. I despise almost everything about the club at present and off the pitch there’s no helping folk who won’t help themselves. Buckley made no sense to me. This is absolutely insane.
Rovers have the feel of a club getting relegated to me. It all starts as always with the owners they set the tone and such a very low bar, paying the bills and leaving the rest to rot just won’t do. Maggot is an agent conman on £350k and just about the worst ceo any company could have. Gregg the egg has about as much of an eye for a player as my mother and is incapable of closing a deal to boot. JDT for all I like the bloke because he calls out the above for their ineptitude but as a manager/head coach if you can’t organise a defence your about as much use as tits on a boar. Then the minor players in the saga barista boy, sunhail, etc, etc, what do they all actually do other than fuck things up.
Not one positive thing to say about the club except for my memories of over 15 years ago.

They really are a shambles. Presumably frasier ‘Costa coffee’ read’s head will roll for enforcing such a pathetic idea in the first place. An idea that’s lost the club a fortune and more importantly fostered more ill will and at a club that doesn’t have any credit in the bank to begin with.
However, you don’t need to be Nostradamus to predict like everything else under the rug it goes. Pretty full under there at this point

He wasn’t good enough for la liga. He won’t be good enough in the prem least of all at a side playing the role of whipping boys.

Owners - who a have butchered the club beyond all recognition. Waggott - a slimy agent conman who is only interested in self preservation for a £350k job he’s wholly unqualified for. The egg - a director of football who wouldn’t know what a good player was and then couldn’t get the deal done if he did. JDT - a manager totally wedded to a failing ideology who couldn’t coach them to defend if his life depended on it.
Let the good times roll.

The egg is incapable of spotting a player and struggled to complete deals for said players. JDT doesn’t seem to know what to do with them. Make no mistake heads need to roll.

Venkys out
Waggott out
Gregg the egg out
JDT out
In any order. Preferably that one but none of them are fit for purpose.
Happy new year.

Must have conceded more than 20 goals in the last 15 mins. It’s pathetic.

2 appalling keepers. With this lad they need to swallow their pride and Greg the egg needs to be finding a replacement asap.

When moggadon was in charge I said any manger of rovers who loses 5 consecutive games, particularly with a general pattern of iffy results over an extended period they should be removed from duties forthwith. So lose at home to the bottom of the league to make it 5 in a row and 7 defeats from 8 then my opinion is the same now as it was then. Especially in light of the manner of them and the 15th defeat of the season with only five teams having a worse goal difference than us and only Rotherham ironically conceding more (for now).
If we lose will he be sacked. Of course he won’t be, not the remotest possibility of that. We’re a zombie club barely able to function even at the best of times. For what it’s worth I like jdt, I like him calling out the hierarchy, I like his ambition and he definitely has a justified claim in blaming his superiors for his predicament and them shafting him.
However, when you can’t organise a defence and you are too stubborn to deviate from a failing ideology you can’t expect to be a successful manager. Having to score three to draw a match doesn’t get you anywhere fast. Not being able to draw matches gets you nowhere fast either. Sometimes football has to be boring, pragmatic, you have to graft, do the nonsense, run, work. We don’t seem to fancy doing that.
It should in theory be the biggest game of jdt’s managerial career to date if he wants to avoid a big black mark on his cv but like all the others before him in classic Blackburn rovers fashion it’ll be a mere shrug of the shoulders and on to the next game.

It's 2023. The Premier League has been going for over 30 years and there are only 7 teams that have won it. Blackburn Rovers is one of them.
Someone will buy this club and I genuinely believe it wouldn't take much to get us back where we should be.
I agree that we could find a buyer. My head says who in their right mind would buy rovers especially if the debt is included but my heart says someone would be wooed by the history and the fact still a top 2 division side.
Not particularly on here, although they will exist, people I know used to say we can’t get rid of Mowbray because we won’t get any better. Totally adamant about that. Unanimously they agree jdt is better having surpassed moggadon in all 3 competitions and isn’t an insufferable company yes man. These same people are now totally adamant that we wouldn’t be able to sell rovers as who would buy. Let’s see. The Venkys and rovers is a disastrous match for everybody - them, the club, the fans. Just try and sell
In terms of getting promoted. I think it would take a monumental effort. It would need a virtual overhaul of the entire squad with ffp restrictions it’s a tall order. More importantly an entire resetting of the mindset of the majority of fanbase who are brainwashed into thinking little old Blackburn Rovers should be happy bumbling along in the championship/league one occasionally. Frankly I’m including some who have actually seen us lift the premier league trophy.

Hull's manager knows.
When you know, you know.
Yeah that’s manager code for the terrace chant can we play you every week.

Lose to Rotherham on Monday and big questions to be asked of JdT. We can’t continually go out trying to out score the opposition, the system has to change to tighten things up at the back.
Everyone has different tipping points. For some it’s 6 defeats from 7 conceding 18 in the last 6. Others it will be a defeat at home to bottom of the table. Others longer still but he’s on a slippery slope here make no mistake.

The answer is it’s been nearly 15 years since last had a decent manager
Just now, gazzaa2 said:How can we always have the leagues leading scorer but still be going nowhere in the league?
Rhodes, Armstrong, Brereton, Szmodics.
Another way of putting it, is how long can we rely on having the top scorer in the league to prop us up?

This is Coyle all over again, a complete inability to defend. No question about it we're dropping like a stone just as some of the struggling teams pick up form. I love JDT but questions need to be asked at this point.
I always said Mowbray shouldn’t have survived any one of his death spirals. I like jdt in a way I never warmed to moggadon but the same applies to him. Although with our new hierarchy is Gregg the egg not also answerable.

6 defeats from 7 in the manner of some of them is very much sacking form. We allowed Mowbray to get away with 2 of these runs a season just can’t do it again.

28 away goals conceded. Thats relegation numbers.

I appreciate they play rugby here as well but the pitch isn’t looking up to much. Our brand of suicide football isn’t great on a bowling green surface this could cause issues.

I can’t think of a single season where the goalkeepers have directly cost us so many points.

Strong xi in a weak as piss but best we have kind of way.
I might have been tempted to give Joe Hilton a chance to show what he's got today. I keep saying xyz can’t be worse than what we have but keep getting surprised
