  1. Let's not pretend otherwise, 7,000+ Owls' fans are going to give their team a huge, huge psychological lift and they will be super adrenaline charged. Rovers' fans at home aren't generally the most vociferous. IMO, it's a huge own goal. Told this morning it was on some SW related social media yesterday that we'd had given them a further 400 tickets - sorry but haven't got a link and don't know which media but I'm sure those well versed in social media will find it.
  2. Your support of every Rovers' decision is incredulous. Wharton DID NOT ask for a transfer. We did not need to sell him. Another player relatively 'given away'. If he was still a Rover, we would not still be worrying about relegation. IMO, our club is a complete shit show from top to bottom and the sooner you see the light the better.
  3. Looking at remaining fixtures for those at the bottom, providing we get a point against Coventry, think we will be safe, possibly just on goal difference. 20) Rovers 50 points 21) Huddersfield 50 points 22) Sheff Wed 50 points 23) Brum 48 points 24) Rotherham gone Time for dinner now and a few drinkie poos! Good night!
  4. The way Leeds, Leicester and Ipswich are shaping, you could see Southampton scraping into the top 2. There's no doubt if the Saints 'hit their straps', they could win their remaining games which might just be enough. At the bottom, think Rovers will do only what Rovers can do! Think SW will be too physically strong and intense meaning we need at least a point from the Coventry game to avoid going to Leicester with the risk of the trap door still opening. On paper, we beat Coventry as looks like they will be on the beach, sadly, as we saw today, games aren't won and lost on paper!
  5. Actually, the odds were 19/2 which I agree are pretty ridiculous for 2 teams in the Championship, however, football is a 'funny old game'! To cap it all, had the winner in The National today whilst the wife (who picks her horses by name or if Rachel B is jockey) had a nice each way on Rachel Blackmore's third placed Minella Indo. With Rovers winning as well, will be an enjoyable Saturday night!
  6. Full credit to Eustace and Rovers. Tactics spot on. We stopped Leeds playing to their strengths though their lack of imagination was startling for a team in their position. They didn't knock on the door often enough especially when the ball is not running for you. As for SS, where would we be without him!!!??? Sadly, it's impossible to see him here next season. Really has been mainly a season of shite and today brought some long overdue and welcome respite.
  7. Went for Scheffler pre tournament and seen nothing to change my mind but given my winnings today on Rovers, have already put a cheeky £fiver on both Fleetwood (50/1) and Fitzpatrick (85/1) as they are two very talented lads capable of making 'a charge' as invariably someone does.
  8. Will be picking up a special bottle later today with part of my winnings!
  9. I read the script! Seen too much football over the years not to sense the almost inevitable!
  10. Leeds there for the taking. They are ridiculously ineffective for auto promo seekers with 4 games to go.
  11. Lost count the number of games I've been to and sensed early on Rovers wouldn't score and they didn't! Leeds aren't creating anything and also the ball isn't running for them in the box. Rovers look solid and the time wasting is 'professional'. Get your feet up and open a beer or two or a bottle of wine and relax and enjoy the anguished Leeds' fans.
  12. They are getting very frustrated. Not clicking for them. Just don't see us losing based on first half.
  13. TBH Leeds don't look like scoring. Things not happening for them We will nick this.
  14. A great sporting and betting weekend with Aintree and The Masters. Couple of winners at Aintree yesterday so betting on today's match with my heart. Rovers at 19/2 so just couldn't resist a £20 flutter. Football is a funny old game as we saw at Plymouth last night.
  15. Think that's wishful thinking Michael! This is by far the easiest of Leeds' remaining games (others M'brough and an improving QPR away and Saints at home) and after a loss and a draw in their last 2 games, they will be absolutely determined and ruthless in trying to get back on track in what will be a white hot Elland Road (I absolutely hate that ground and its mindless morons). I really fear for us and if they get an early goal then it could be anything from 5 upwards as goal difference might determine who goes up in the top 2. They have players capable of ripping us to shreds and inflicting material damage. I look at our soft boys and think most of them will just shrivel. This has got horrible - another thrashing on Saturday and then the Owls at Ewood in front of 7,000 of their supporters (will seem like an away match for us) with our confidence in tatters. Just wtf was Maggot thinking about in letting them have all those tickets - should have restricted them to 1,500 upstairs and tried to fill the stadium with our own fans at £5/ticket; survival is more important than a few extra grand in ticket sales. What an unbelievable and self inflicted mess we find ourselves in.
  16. "The fans have seen what we've done over the last 10, 11 games has been fantastic and tonight has been an off night". and there you have it folks. John Eusless thinks 1 WIN IN 12 LEAGUE GAMES is fantastic. Little wonder we are fecking goosed. IMO, the man is a clown and even worse than Kean and Coyle.
  17. Struggling to recall a more gutless performance. To me, the 'cowards' looked like they just didn't care. Feck off Eustace, Downing, Gardiner, Lowe, Benson, Johnson and all those spineless, soft c--ts masquerading as footballers.
  18. Awful performance - Hyam truly Duffyesque and lost all credibility when having a go at the Riversiders. City should be 3 up and spurned a golden opportunity - turning point? I'm optimistic tonight, well fed and well liquored - in play gone for a draw at 10/1 and 2-2 at 12/1.
  19. No surprises to me with these accounts. IMO, they just confirm what a shambolically run business we are. If, and it's a bloody big if, the Raos sold the club (outside an insolvency situation), I would love to be part of the due diligence process on behalf of a buyer - God knows what may be hidden away. It is for this reason that I very much doubt the Raos will sell and only an insolvency situation will see us free from their clutches. I take Waggot's words on the Raos' funding guarantee with a pinch of salt - IMO, he has neither integrity nor credibility. I think August will see Rovers and the Raos meet their Waterloo as I suspect there is very likely more to the Indian court business than meets the eye.
  20. Huge, huge game. City in decent form with 7 points from their last 3 games including a home win against Leicester and a win and a draw in 2 away games. Win and we can almost relax, lose and it really will be squeaky bum time with our remaining fixtures. Injuries beginning to bite again and a number playing when perhaps not 100%. Wouldn't like to call it. Only thing for certain is City won't already 'be on the beach'. Nightmare is we go to Leicester in last game of season needing something - if that happens, I could see us sliding into the bottom 3 as the final whistle is blown.
  21. Think they are!! Two signings stick in the craw for them - Shea Charles from City for £10million+ who can't get in the team and Ross Stewart from Sunderland for £10million and he's still injured and yet to kick a ball for them. Wilcox owes opportunity at United to their new CEO Berrada who Wilcox worked under at City.
  22. Have a decent insight into Southampton from contacts I made whilst working for a spell down there. Generally, fans seem to loathe Martin and haven't too many kind words to say about Wilcox! This is 'soft lads' versus 'soft lads', 'bottlejobs' versus 'bottlejobs'. Who will crumble first? Think there will be goals galore. Think Saints will win as they usually start matches well and when on song would tear our slow and static defence to pieces. I see them racing into a 2 or 3 goal lead with a the final score ending up 1-4 or 2-4.
  23. We are now safe even if we lose all our remaining games. Rejoice and celebrate.
  24. Keith Newton and Graeme Le Saux best right and left full backs I've seen in a Rovers' shirt.
