All I want to see Saturday pal tbh. Hit a few tackles let the Leeds know we’re there.

Even if we get smashed want to see a few of the boys lay a glove on them.

    Think that's wishful thinking Michael!

This is by far the easiest of Leeds' remaining games (others M'brough and an improving QPR away and Saints at home) and after a loss and a draw in their last 2 games, they will be absolutely determined and ruthless in trying to get back on track in what will be a white hot Elland Road (I absolutely hate that ground and its mindless morons).

I really fear for us and if they get an early goal then it could be anything from 5 upwards as goal difference might determine who goes up in the top 2.  They have players capable of ripping us to shreds and inflicting material damage.

I look at our soft boys and think most of them will just shrivel.

This has got horrible - another thrashing on Saturday and then the Owls at Ewood in front of 7,000 of their supporters (will seem like an away match for us) with our confidence in tatters.  Just wtf was Maggot thinking about in letting them have all those tickets - should have restricted them to 1,500 upstairs and tried to fill the stadium with our own fans at £5/ticket; survival is more important than a few extra grand in ticket sales.

What an unbelievable and self inflicted mess we find ourselves in.

  2. No surprises to me with these accounts.  IMO, they just confirm what a shambolically run business we are.

If, and it's a bloody big if, the Raos sold the club (outside an insolvency situation), I would love to be part of the due diligence  process on behalf of a buyer - God knows what may be hidden away.  It is for this reason that I very much doubt the Raos will sell and only an insolvency situation will see us free from their clutches.

I take Waggot's words on the Raos' funding guarantee with a pinch of salt - IMO, he has neither integrity nor credibility.

I think August will see Rovers and the Raos meet their Waterloo as I suspect there is very likely more to the Indian court business than meets the eye.

  3. Huge, huge game.  City in decent form with 7 points from their last 3 games including a home win against Leicester and a win and a draw in 2 away games.

Win and we can almost relax, lose and it really will be squeaky bum time with our remaining fixtures.

Injuries beginning to bite again and a number playing when perhaps not 100%.

Wouldn't like to call it.  Only thing for certain is City won't already 'be on the beach'.

Nightmare is we go to Leicester in last game of season needing something - if that happens, I could see us sliding into the bottom 3 as the final whistle is blown.

They'll be happy to see that Wilcox is off to Man United then.

    Think they are!!

Two signings stick in the craw for them - Shea Charles from City for £10million+ who can't get in the team and Ross Stewart from Sunderland for £10million and he's still injured and yet to kick a ball for them.

Wilcox owes opportunity at United to their new CEO Berrada who Wilcox worked under at City.

  5. Have a decent insight into Southampton from contacts I made whilst working for a spell down there.  Generally, fans seem to loathe Martin and haven't too many kind words to say about Wilcox!

This is 'soft lads' versus 'soft lads', 'bottlejobs' versus 'bottlejobs'.

    Who will crumble first?

Think there will be goals galore.

Think Saints will win as they usually start matches well and when on song would tear our slow and static defence to pieces.  I see them racing into a 2 or 3 goal lead  with a the final score ending up 1-4 or 2-4.

Mick Heaton and Andy Burgin were better that the current two and that was in the old Division 3.

Brittain would have sh1t himself if faced with Mick Heaton whilst Andy Burgin had a football intelligence Pickering could only dream about.

Woke up this morning and my wife said she dreamt Rovers will win today so stuck £25 on Rovers to win at 12/5.  Will open a special red tonight should that happen but not holding my breath!

On Eustace, he isn't media savvy like JDT was or Allardyce was. Its probably a side of the job he doesn't like doing

He doesn't seem too 'savvy' in the arts of football management!

So just what is he 'savvy' at?

Think you'll continue to sing the praises of Eusless until he's gone (like you do with all Rovers' managers)!

IMO, a dud and worse than Coyle - at least we won some games with Coyle and he did have a promotion to the PL on his CV.  Just what the feck has Eusless achieved as a manager!?

We played well against Ipswich without Gallagher - id stick with that and bring him on for the last 30 mins. He has physical qualities but takes so much away in terms of link up Id save him till when we need fresh legs.

Would be very surprised if Gallagher is there at all.

Understand he has a transmissible illness which will also have taken quite a bit out of him.

  9. I've seen some very poor managers since I started supporting Rovers some 60+ years ago.

Sadly, you never forget them for all the wrong reasons.  Iley, Kidd, Ince, Kean, Black, Berg, Appleton and Coyle readily spring to mind (5 of those 8 under ownership of the Raos in the last 14 years!).

IMO, Eusless is right up with the worse of them - 10 matches without a win is a damning indictment and there can be NO EXCUSES from a manager who in his own words, or words to that effect, took over an 'amazing squad' who he 'couldn't be more proud of'.

His 'rise to fame' is on the back of making Kidderminster 'the Barcelona of non league' and a moderately successful short spell at Brum where I think the owners quickly realised they had a manager with limitations who wasn't going to deliver their aspirations and ambitions.

I think Rovers have appointed a dud who I think is an unlikeable, charmless, smarmy bullsh1tter; only Kean of previous Rovers' managers evoked such feelings in me and I think that tells me all i need to know about Eusless.

    Eustace should be sacked immediately.

Don't come in and say this squad is fantastic (regardless of Morale boosting) and then NOT EVEN WIN 1 GAME.

First 45 mins v Ipswich were embarrassing. Pundits on talksport yesterday ripped into our setup for the game.

You've had all international break and it's still rubbish.

    It's a total embarrassment.

No win in 10 games and our 'soft boys' don't look like winning.

I think Eusless spouts cliche ridden bullsh1t and EXCUSES!!!

In that ridiculous cap he insists on wearing, I think the guy strikes an uncanny resemblance to Kean and we know what most fans thought of his incapabilities!

Fortunately, I think we will escape relegation by the skin of our teeth given teams below us seem equally, if not more so, inept.

Whether we stay up or go down, Eusless needed firing.  I've seen absolutely nothing to suggests he offers Rovers a brighter future.  A total dud, IMO.

Maybe Gilsenan will get some game time now ?

    You would certainly hope so!

I think Gilsenan has a bit of the 'x factor' about him and could really spark us especially if he gets an early goal or two.

Sadly, as you know as you've been around for a while, there are some players whose 'faces never seem to fit' with their clubs and they don't get the opportunities they deserve. - think Gilsenan is one of these.

  12. Think it's quite clear that Broughton is a busted flush.

IMO, a 'gentle' interview with a man who knows he's on his way out.  The fact it was not done through the LT and/or Radio Lancashire also tells a story.

As more and more leaks out, I think Broughton's position becomes more and more untenable and no self respecting DOF would put up with it.  Broughton said JDT's Rovers' exit had become "inevitable", well he knows the script!!!

Wilkinson is pretty well informed and this would not surprise me at all.

I don't think the club has a shred of credibility left.

Goodness knows what other clubs, players and agents (other than those already on the Rovers' gravy train) think of us.
