  1. Blackburn Rovers return to Ewood Park this weekend to take on high flyers Norwich City. Rovers come into the match in 11th position in the table, and enter the match on the back of a 2-2 draw with Birmingham City last weekend. Norwich City on the other hand come into the match in 2nd spot oin the table, and also enter the match on the back of a 2-2 draw against Bristol City. Rovers enter a tough series of fixtures and will be hoping to secure a few points to kick start their festive campaign. In this video with speak with Norwich City supporter Harvey Monck about Norwich Ci
  2. When I think of Birmingham city 3 things come to my mind 1- Robbie Savage Loved Robbie when he was here. He was a real warrior in that Hughes team. Snarling and snapping around midfield. Thanks Brum 2-Alex McLeish Big Eck, a gruff Scotsman who these days can mostly be found fighting with Tony Mowbray about how much he is allowed flog that old war horse Charlie Mulgrew. Did well at Birmingham, winning their last major trophy, the 2011 league cup. The win was against your textbook later period Wenger team, devoid of bottle. The winner coming from a last minute Obafe
  3. Blackburn Rovers let slip a two goal lead against Birmingham City to draw 2-2 at Ewood Park. Rovers looked comfortably in control of the match taking the lead via a Danny Graham header courtesy of a Harrison Reed free kick. Rovers doubled their lead thanks to a tight angled strike by substitute Adam Armstrong to give Rovers a two goal cushion. Birmingham chipped back into the game via a penalty after David Raya made a hash of a catch, the goal scored by Gardner (not sure which one). And finally Che Adams scored the leveler for Birmingham. Both chances had opportunities to

  5. Next up for Blackburn Rovers, a return to Ewood Park to take on Birmingham City. Blackburn come into this match fresh off the back of a draw against Middlesbrough. Birmingham meanwhile, come into the match on the back of a loss to Bristol City. As for the table, Birmingham have the slight edge as they sit 2 places higher than Rovers in 9th spot, with Rovers in 11th. Both on the same amount of points, the Brummies have the better goal difference. In this video we preview the match, check out some team stats and a cheeky prediction from the Cat. 6. Hi All Tough game away at Middlesborough tomorrow at the Riverside, they are as expected up near the top but did lose 3-0 to Villa in their last home game. I unfortunately cannot make the game tomorrow as I have a boys day out in Skipton (twice yearly catch up with old friends) will be messy !! Been to Borough twice before both at Ayresome park and both times remember it was one of the coldest grounds I had ever been to ( 0 -0 in 1985 crowd 5,000 ish and 3 - 0 win in 1990 crowd 15,000 ish). Middlesborough are nicknamed Boro or the Smoggies and we're a founder member of the pr
  7. Blackburn Rovers failed to take advantage of 10 man Middlesbrough, and had to settle for a point at the Riverside. 1-1 was the final score with Mo Besic the man sent off for a shirt pull on Bradley Dack. Captain Charlie Mulgrew scored from the resulting free kick to give Rovers the lead, however Blackburn were denied all 3 points, after Britt Assombalonga long range striker gave Middlesbrough a share of the points. In this video we take a look at the match statistics, hear what Tony Mowbray had to say as well as Middlesbrough supporter John Gaunt. Middlesbrough: Randolph, Frien

  9. Next up for Blackburn Rovers is a trip to the North East to take on high flyers Middlesbrough. Rovers come into this match fresh on the back of a win against Sheffield Wednesday. Middlesbrough however come into the match on the back of a defeat to Aston Villa who beat them 3-0. Current Rovers Gaffa was in charge of Middlesbrough the last time they won at the Riverside. In this video I spoke with Middlesbrough supporter John Gaunt about the match, his expectations and more. We also build up to kick off and get a prediction from the Cat. 10. There will be Owls of derision if we don't win this one. It will be a hoot if we do. A win will bring raptor-ous applause, but we'll need to show our full range of Talonts. A barn (owl) storming opening would help. But mainly, the question is, can we score from open play? Rovers 1 - Owls 1 14,777
  11. Any one know of any coaches around the Leyland or Chorley pick up area.
  12. Blackburn Rovers bounce back after two rough away performances with a comfortable win at Ewood Park against Sheffield Wednesday. Rovers winning 4-2 in the end thanks to goals from Bradley Dack and a hattrick by Danny Graham. Ex Rover made things interesting with a wonderstrike to make it 2-1, and an own goal by David Raya gave Wednesday hope, but Rovers added a 4th to take home a much needed 3 points. Key members of the squad stood up and were counted today, including Craig Conway and Paul Downing. In this video we hear from the Gaffa Tony Mowbray, plus reaction from the fa
  13. A huge response needed. Wigan are good at home so it's another tough game. No idea what the team will be. There are normally changes the game after we play badly. Mowbray needs to pick players in roles they are comfortable in. They also need to start the game in the 1st minute. I'm not hopeful...

  15. Another shambolic performance form Blackburn Rovers as we are beaten by Wigan Athletic 3-1 at the DW Stadium. No real response from Rovers following their defeat on the weekend against Preston, as Rovers lacked ideas and any attacking urgency. Problems at the back gave Wigan opportunities to score and they took full advantage. The only conciliation for Rovers was a late own goal which gave them a small lifeline, that was later taken away. Not great, we need a win fast! Wigan Athletic: Walton, Morsy (c), Kipre, Burn, Evans, James, Naismith, Byrne, Roberts (Connolly, 79), Po
  16. Well with a devalued International weekend ahead, and the good news that we sell out our full allocation at our noisy neighbours, time to look at the match in prospect. When I did the Villa preview, I had a Villa acquaintance, but in this case I have never befriended a Nob Ender. Too cocky and lack sensible conversation. So my facts are mainly based on books (banned in the city), the internet (most are on SHPO's not to access the www), and personal observations. Again, both clubs were inaugural members of the 1888 football league, where unfortunately they did the league and cup doubl
  17. No rest for Blackburn Rovers as Championship football continues this week as Rovers are back on the road this time against another local side Wigan Athletic. Wigan Athletic come into this match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Middlesborough. Whereas Rovers come into this match fresh of a local spanking against Preston North End. 19. Blackburn Rovers returned from the international break and walked right into a fire. As Preston North End smashed the goals past them to end the match 4-1 winners. Rovers were 2 goals down after the first 10 minutes of the match then had it all to do to try and salvage anything. However despite scoring very early in the 2nd half thanks to a goal by Danny Graham, it was not mean to be as Preston added 2 more late goals to take home all three points and some local pride. In this video we hear from the Gaffa about the result and take a look at some match stats plus more. Prest
  20. Blackburn Rovers return from the international break and make the short trip to Deepdale to take on Preston North End. Blackburn Rovers come into the match on the back of a decent run, most recently a hard earned draw against Rotherham United. Preston North End meanwhile head into the match in excellent form, most recently on the back of an away win against Bristol City In this video we preview the match, get a prediction from the Cat and see a few players who have played for both Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers. 21. Blackburn Rovers will enter the international break on the back of a draw against Rotherham United. Despite dominating the match, Rovers fell behind to Rotherham who took their only real chance of the second half to take the lead. However moments later Rovers were back in the match thanks to great build up by Ben Brereton who setup Bradley Dack for his 10th goal of the season. Rovers could have scored multiple goals but will have to settle for a point. Next up Preston North End and Wigan Athletic. In this video we hear from the Gaffa Tony Mowbray about his thoughts, we tak

  24. A few weeks ago I read that a top flight game between Burnley and Cardiff had the ball in play for a grand total of 40 something minutes. Today, Rotherham came and wasted as much time as possible to the point that it's not a tactic but embarrising. Is it time to review the laws on time wasting and what do people suggest for changes to the game regarding this issue. Something has to be done. It's just not acceptable
