  1. An assessment of player performance v Brentford Each player was judged on the following criteria: Instance of excellent play * Instance of decent/good play * Instance of disappointing/poor play * Instance of terrible play * E&OE Ratings Raya ** *** *** Nyambe ********
  2. On Tuesday night, Rovers take on the Imps. I had intended to do some more research and typing but I broke my arm last week so this will have to do; Lincoln facts; Lincoln is a cathedral city around 100 miles away in the midlands Our last competitive fixture was in the FA cup in 1974, our last league fixture in 1958 in Division two. 6 wins, 3 draws and 10 losses in total. Lincoln are top of league two, undefeated having beaten Notts county in their previous outing. Currently managed by Danny Cowley, one of two brothers making a name for themselves in lower league.
  3. Probably the first real test of our top-half Championship credentials, if we have some. Brentford are, by all accounts, very good. A progressive club with link to clubs in Iceland and Denmark they seem to unearth some quality players from far and wide. Alan Judge is still there but |I'm not sure he's back to being a starter after his injury. Watkins, the lad they signed from Exeter, will be one to watch - a big striker with pace and an eye for goal, just like we need. Not sure if their other main goalscorer Maupay is banned this Saturday. Last three matches against them at Ewood in Champ
  4. Got a question that I hope yee can help with! Hoping to head to my first away rovers match ever next week in Bristol. Tried to buy tickets online but none are available. I'm based in Ireland and am flying straight over to Bristol so is it even possible for me to get tickets at all without going to the ticket office in Blackburn? Sorry if its a stupid question in advance!
  5. Blackburn Rovers picking up a massive 1-0 victory of high flyers Brentford. Despite hitting the woodwork twice Brentford could not taking anything from this match. Rovers had limited opportunities in front of goal, as their creative line has been hit with injuries this past week got their noses in front thanks to a goal from loan signing Kasey Palmer. Rovers pressed their opponents throughout the 90 minutes with players such as Elliott Bennett, Corry Evans and new signing Joe Rothwell working tirelessly. As mentioned earlier, Rovers lacked key players in this match with Bradley
  6. The 2018-19 EFL Championship continues as Blackburn Rovers take on Brentford FC at Ewood Park on Saturday August 25th. Rovers come into this match fresh off the back of a 2-2 result against Reading. Blackburn coming back from two goals down to salvage a valuable early point in the season. As for the visitors this Saturday, Brentford also fresh off the back of a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa. Brentford currently riding high in 4th place where as Rovers lie unbeaten in 9th. In this video I preview the match, predict my starting elevens, match buildup and get a prediction from Cas
  7. My team would be - Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Evans Rothwell Bennett Dack Palmer Armstrong
  8. Blackburn Rovers returned to Ewood Park to try and continue their fine start to the 2018-19 Championship season. However they found themselves in deep water at half time being 2 goals down to a plucky Reading. The visitors scored both goals via defensive howlers by Rovers and they were scored by Bödvarsson. Rovers were hit by a couple of injuries both before the match and during the match, as midfield dynamo Bradley Dack and Kasey Palmer both ruled out, whereas during the match both Adam Armstrong and Dominic Samuel where substituted due to injuries. Regardless Rovers fought ba
  9. Even though the game is only 2 weeks away, tickets are not yet for sale on the website. Is it too much to ask that the people in charge of the ticket office do their job?
  10. The 2018-19 EFL Championship continues as Blackburn Rovers take on Reading FC at Ewood Park as they look to continue their decent start to the new season. Rovers come into the match fresh off the back of their first win of the season which took place on Saturday against Hull City at the KCOM stadium. As for Reading FC they have yet to get off the mark in the league, and they come into this match fresh off the back of a defeat to Bolton Wanderers at the weekend. In this video I preview the match with input from Marc Mayo from The Tilehurst End Podcast and we also get a prediction
  11. Can anyone be arsed putting some effort in and doing some proper ones? Maybe have a list of the ones people would like to do like last year?
  12. Blackburn Rovers get their first win of the season on the road against Hull City at the KCOM stadium. The only goal coming from Bradley Dack shortly before the half time whistle. Despite that, Hull City edged themselves back into the game towards the final 20 minutes. However Rovers held firm thanks to some fantastic saves from David Raya towards the end. The only concern for Rovers after the match is the health of Bradley Dack who was substituted with a knee injury shortly into the 2nd half. In this video we hear from Kieran Webster on his thoughts relating to Hull City,
  13. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/august/ticket-news-carlisle-united-a/ Anyone going? Only £7.50 if you have a ST but you have to buy by 5pm today.
  14. You’ve got to be keen to do this for a 0-0 draw! But I got some good feedback last time, so here goes. There are lies, damn lies and statistics as Disraeli may have said. I was thinking about this after reading the fans comments on the post-match comments for the Ipswich game. I compared the fans’ opinions to the ratings on the whoscored.com website. Apparently Williams was our best player (7.62) and Nyambe the worst (5.82). There wasn’t much correlation! Anyway, here’s my effort for the Millwall game: Each player was judged on the following criteria: Instance of excellen
  15. The 2018-19 EFL Championship continues as Blackburn Rovers head back on the road this time to take Hull City at the KCOM Stadium. Hull City come into this match after picking up a a point out of their previous 2 matches. Whereas Rovers fair only slightly better after picking up 2 points from the first two matches of the season. Rovers are also fresh of the back of a 1-5 victory over Carlisle United in the Carabaro Cup, so we will be hoping they bring their goalscoring boots with them to Hull on Saturday. In this video I preview the match with input from Hull City supporter Kier
  16. First game at home. I'm not sure about Millwall. They did okay last season. Predictions?
  17. Thread not started so I thought I'd get one going. Anyone going. What team would people play. I'd go Raya Nyambe. Downing. Lenihan bell Whittingham Travis Rothwell. Palmer. Conway Armstrong * Assuming Davenport isn't fit Subs. Leutwiler, Caddis, williams, Smallwood, simmonds, samuel, nuttall
  18. An assessment of individual player performance on Saturday Each player was judged on the following criteria: Instance of excellent play * Instance of decent/good play * Instance of disappointing/poor play * Instance of terrible play * E&OE Ratings Raya * **** * * Nyam
  19. OK this is the kiss of death. We lost every match I did a preview for last season. I have never seen us win at Portman Road- I won't be going so be thankful for small mercies. I am not going to pick Mowbray's staring 11 or bench of18 for him but it looks like it will be pretty identical to last season, give a Palmer, take an Armstrong. Our last few trips to Portman Road have been pretty bleak (Ipswich first) 16/7 3-2 15/6 2-0 14/5 3-2 13/4 2-0 12/3 1-1 11/2 3-1 01/2 1-1 So not a happy hunting ground. Still, if I were Ipswi
