Alan75 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Rovers defender Jay McEveley has joined Derby County for an initial fee of £600,000 on a three-and-a-half year deal after agreeing personal terms. McEveley has made 26 appearances for Blackburn since making his debut at the age of 17. Rovers supporters will remember Jay for his exploits in the Worthington Cup, when as a raw recruit he bundled David Beckham into the advertising hoardings. Stricken by a number of injuries, Jay never established himself as a first team player and was farmed out for loan spells at Gillingham, Ipswich and of all places Burnley.
