dj54nna Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Right, my dad's got a Samsung Series 4 42" Plasma TV. It says it's 1080i capable. I want to get him a DVD recorder for his birthday with HD upscaling included. If the DVD recorder upscales to 1080p, will the TV accept the signal? Or do most units that advertise 1080p upscaling have the option to change to 1080i or even 720p? The Sony DVD-R units are looking the best bet at the minute. Any help would be massively appreciated.
