Rovers having agreed a transfer fee with Gresko’s club Parma over a month ago are still waiting for the left back to agree personal terms. These delays may result in Souness making enquiries elsewhere, as he currently doesn’t have a recognised left back on the books, although young centre back Jay McEveley was the find of last season when he filled in at left back. Reports today on various sites are quoting an article in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph that suggests that Blackburn are considering signing Monaco's Philippe Leonard. The Belgian international left back Leonard is available on a free transfer after being released by French side Monaco.
