Alan75 Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Another hat-trick by Paul Gallagher helped Blackburn Res beat West Brom Res 5-3 tonight at Christie Park Morcambe. Rover's trialist Jullian Grey did himself no harm in getting a contract with a polished display in the first half and even getting on the score board in the 19 minute. Blackburn went in at half time 4-0 up with goals from Gallagher, 14min and 26min, Grabbi 16min and Grey 19min. Rover's sat back as the second half commenced allowing the Albion to pull back 3 goals, one of which was a penalty, scored by Brown, however Gallagher made sure of the points for Rovers with his third goal of the game in the 84 minute. Once again Grabbi had a good game for the reserves, and Pelzer was impressive when he came on as substitute for the last 15 minutes. Rover's young defender McEveley was booked for what appeared to be dissent when West Brom were awarded the penalty. West Brom's other scorers were Wallwork and Marshall.
