Alan75 Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 Early speculation on this web site regarding the fitness of Blackburn midfielder David Thompson would appear true, with reports in the media now indicating that Thompson will see a specialist next week regarding a knee problem. Thompson had an opperation on his knee last February, that kept him out for the remainder of last season and although initially it was believed that he had overcome the problem his knee is still causing him discomfort after games. Prior to his suspension, Thompson had started most games for Rovers this season, but due to continued discomfort, it is now being reported that he will be flying to America next week to see the specialist who has also treated Shearer, Jamie Redknapp, Steven Gerrard and Craig Bellamy, for a similar problem.
