    Summary

A strongly built goalkeeper, who worked his way back into the league after being rejected at Charlton. His displays for Gillingham brought him Welsh under 21 recognition and contact with Mark Hughes which led to the offer of a contract in 2006, just as he was about to sign for Swansea. He made a spectacular debut for the Rovers, coming on as a half time substitute and saving a penalty kick against Wigan. He saw little action afterwards as Brad Friedel was always fit and although he had to deputise for his successor, Paul Robinson, an old back complaint flared up at an inopportune moment and he missed his opportunity to push for a first team place. When he played for Dartford he was coaching part time at Arsenal and Millwall. In the summer of 2015 he agreed to play for Sutton but gave up the chance when he was offered the position of goalkeeping coach at Gillingham. After admitting that he was suffering from depression he got his life back on track as goalkeeper coach at the Arsenal academy and coaching spells in Vietnam and Thailand.
