  1. People are talking about Benni's behaviour at the moment, but Big Sam has been out of order with his handling of Benni since day one at Rovers.

Coming out now and claiming that Benni is in it for the money is ridiculous, the guy said months ago that he would be happy to stay at Rovers if he got the time on the field - this is understandable seen as though he wants to be a part of the South Africa team for the world cup in his own country.

We haven't played him (instead opted for hoof-ball), and now we are losing a valuable asset, I think we still could have got more out of him.

Disappointing to see him go, and yeah it is disappointing that he didn't turn up for the last few training sessions - but Big Sam seems to suggest that our struggle this season has been because of Benni - yet he has hardly played him! His goal return last season was impressive, and this season he has been one of only a few players who look like they could score.

The truth is, he hasn't done a lot wrong on the pitch for us, lets hope that we don't forget that.

I'm not sure who we are going to find better to replace him with.

  2. Yeah I see what you are saying, defo, and I think it's a problem that we would rely on Dunn having a blinder. What if he doesn't? What if he gets injured, he is injury prone after all!

I think thats what I'm trying to get across, we give ourselves more of a chance playing 4-4-2.

I'm just not a fan of the 4-5-1. I too would like to see Robert's and McCarthy start next time.

  3. How about our away form?

Wolves are a poor opposition, and showed it against us.

Dingles was about the attitude of the players, and that was fantastic.

We did play well against Villa in parts, - and what about West Ham at home, I remember cries off 'attack, attack'. West Ham was a case of points lost in my opinion, we didn't take the game to them.

We also have the leakiest defence in the premiership, so maybe we should defend from the front, at least put a bit of pressure on them higher up the pitch. 4-5-1 invites too much pressure for us, I'm sure of it.

  4. I can't believe that we are looking to sell Benni. Benni represents the type of football we should be playing, keep more on the floor. If Dunn is as talented as big sam suggests, then he should fit in well to a team playing with the ball on the deck!

4-5-1 doesn't give us a chance, particularly at home. And it was the reason we have got turned over so easily away from home, look how deep we played - we had no intention to test their defence and pressure the ball! Very Frustrating.

  5. I'm a Mac user.

Me too, no chance of us getting to see the Highlights any time soon then!

DRM creates more problems for users then it solves really.

In some cases the DRM implementation will actually force ligitimate users to try and find the highlights on YouTube and the like!

  6. I will be very disapointed if the match has been moved to the sunday.

For a start, I won't be able to attend on the sunday! why should the schedule be tampered with now? We've known the date of the fixture since they were realsed, plus one change of the game has already been made, with it moving to early evening KO on the saturday.

  7. Interesting to see Taylor starting again. Because it looked like a pretty much full strength starting 11. Does Hughes see him as the answer at left back?

I would assume that Taylor played at right back so that Hughes could get a proper look at him. I would think that it was Lucas Neill who played Left Back?

  8. An interesting read taken from the Official Message Board

    OPERATION DINGLETHRASH by Cosmo

If youve got no ticket for big derby

Don't forget to turn on the T.V.

To see Rovers live away at Burnley

    Courtesy of the B.B.C.

    This coming afternoon Sundy

The programme starts at One Thirty

As Jim Smith said of the rivalry-

"It's even bigger than Saints v Pompey"

But like Stan Ternent quipped famously-

"Its like a Mini versus Ferrari!"

The Blue n Whites are going to Turd Moor

We're gonna get a favourable score

No reply to our three or four,

Or maybe five like three years before!

Lets all hope we get even more!!!!

Though the free coaches arrive two hours before

"NO PUBS!!!" say the long arm of t'law

"We're gonna drop yer right outside the door

Then its straight in- theres [rude word deleted] all chance we'll let you explore!"

Accross the county they'll all be droppin their jaw

When they hear of the Derby Day cricket score

And how the Rovers wiped the b*st*rd floor

With the claret and blue Dingles from Turd Moor.

  9. I've read on the Cardiff Official Website that should we want it, we will be allowed the whole 'John Smiths Grange End' - away fans usually only take half of this stand.

I hope we take it all! The FA Cup laws state that the away team is entitled to 15% of the grounds capacity. I think the John Smiths Grange End is in the region of 3,500 - 4,000 capacity.

  10. I'm sorry but I strongly disagree with those who have said (to sum it up), we should cheer on Andy Cole because the media is watching and he is black!

Cheering on Andy Cole for the reason of his skin colour (along with the latest PR). I don't care who is watching but I feel strongly if anyone was to use this reason to cheer him on.

Falsely cheering him on because of PR and his skin colour could actually be compared to racism itself.

  11. Surprised Leicester's Filbert Street was not in there

Is that not because Leicester play at the Walkers 'Bowl'. blink.gif

Don't personally like Villa for away fans.

    Most Soulless - Chester City

    I'll agree with that!
