  1. Actually enjoyed this game, well the second half.

Changed completely when we actually attacked the wings, Palace fullbacks were poor and wingers were not tracking back.

Zaha ran rings round us first half, as he had the time and space. Was interesting to see him vs King battle. King is properly quick when he wants to be however decision making/final ball isn't the best - hopefully will come with time.

When Peds came on he seemed to link Morris and King together well, also slotting in behind when they pushed forward. Played it simple and kept us ticking over.

Young Todd Kane didn't have his best display but solid none the less. Goodwillie tried his hardest on the wing but it obviously isn't his position - he can do a job at this level though.

Thought we should and could have killed the game off with the prolonged amount of pressure we had, although they could have nicked a few on the counter on another day.

  2. Just had a look on the Palace boards, some posters think they will give us a right hiding whilst others are not confident at all.

Be great to end this horrible season with a win but have my doubts.

I think first goal is crucial, one for them could open the gates whilst if we snatch one our players seem to be able to hold on quite well.

Cue a big Palace comeback on Saturday now I've said that..

  3. Very tough game..

Hopefully CKR is in the mood - we seem to score with him in the side, he holds the ball up well too.

Think Lowe and Hanley also have to come back into the team, with Lowe, Williamson and Jones our midfield at least did seem to take a hold of the game, albeit against a poor Derby and Huddersfield side.

Have to go for it being the game in hand, fear if we don't get anything from the game then we're as good as gone.

  4. Was in Sirloin on Saturday, enjoyed it. Had the trio of burgers, tasted well although wasn't spectacular.

Would like to try a steak there!

Also revisited Greens in Didsbury last night, loved it. Really enjoy it, still don't understand how the veggie black pudding is done! Had the halloumi for starter, spinach and ricotta pie and the chocolate and pecan for desert.

Would recommend everyone to try it if you get chance!

  5. Yeah luck, lust liqour and burn (even the name annoys me :P )

I love Mexican food so really want to try it, I can just imagine me sat there muttering things about hipsters and generally sounding like a 28 year old going on 60!

Didn't head to Almost Famous last night, girl friend wasn't feeling so good, hopefully go this weekend.

I'd like to check them all out providing AF is up to scratch!

There is also a place called Reds in Leeds which is supposed to be really good. They even do an all American style doughnut burger!

  6. I'm going to brave it and try their Mexican restaurant next door soon

Reading the website of almost famous makes me angry already though, it seems like they are trying too hard but like I said I keep hearing good things

Is that, Luck Lust Liquor & Burn or something? There's also Home Sweet Home which they own and is supposed to be good.

As for Almost Famous they don't let customers take photos of food or any bloggers in, supposed it's to build the hype.

  7. If you eat in Manchester on a regular basis I can recommend Bistro 1847 in the city centre (the head chef was trained at Noma in Denmark, voted best restaurant in the world). They've also opened a sister restuarant in Chorlton. Haven't tried that one but I imagine it's just as good. Not quite Greens standard but not far off, and they have a good early-evening offer iirc.

Thanks I shall try it next time I'm in, looks good.

Thanks with regards to Greens.Unfortunately it's my mate that's the veggie and it's for his birthday. With me being a full bloodied carnivore and not liking root vegetables,i've struggled to find something that i can eat.The cheese and basil sausages are my only hope...

The cheese sausages are good, I had them on my last visit.

Heading into Manchester to check out the burger bar - 'Almost Famous' on Thursday, a rather 'hip' place but should be good!

  8. Going to Greens at Didsbury on Sunday has anybody been there? any good?

Love it, took my girlfriend there last weekend, can get a little noisy when full but excellent food. Great to finally find somewhere with more than 2 veggie options!

Try the black pudding, tell me if you can taste the difference!
