I was hoping we'd seen the last of Emerton and yet again he had no impact on the game.

I thought Emerton was one of our best players today actually. Set up a couple of chances and was very lively i thought.

But (and this is not only directed at you Exiled) people seem way more interested in picking holes in his game than actually look at some of the positive things he does.

Thought we played reasonably well today. It took us a while to get going in the second half and we were a bit lucky to get away with all 3 points i thought.

Not to worried about Dickov's injury. We need to get a new striker in regardless of how long he is out. The man can't finish, dribble or pass. I find it a bit puzzling that when Emerton missed a sitter against fulham there were 3 pages of how useless he is, but Dickov is somehow allowed to miss sitters week in and week out just because he runs around like a headless chicken most of the time. And Kuqi is not nearly good enough either.

Yes, he was. If you are going to watch the game I would keep an eye on Valencia, Braaten and Carew. Braaten IMO has the potential to become one of the best players in Europe, but he has some attitude problems that might get in the way of his development..

I don't know why everyone is still raving about what a talent Braaten is. He is 23 years old now and it's time to deliver. I'm not saying he's not a good player, but he should be at least a first team regular at Rosenborg by now.

Gamst Pedersen scored the winning goal in injury time in Norway's 3-2 win against Slovenia.

Was a cracking goal too. Arrogantly chipped the ball over the keeper when he was through on goal.

To the Norwegian fans out there. Anyone watch Rosenborg on a regular basis? If so, how does Robbie Russell, the American defender look? I've been reading good reports on him, but most of the stuff is 3rd hand.

Russell have been pretty disappointing for Rosenborg, but was very good for Sogndal. He probably needs time to adjust to Rosenborg's style of play.

There is another American who has done pretty well though. Brian West who plays for Fredrikstad has been very good this season, and although i've only seen him on a couple of occasions, he has impressed me whenever i've seen him play.
