  1. Hughes has really got to ramn it down the throat of the players how big this game is! Last time we had Dunn playing for us and he knew exactly what it meant to both sets of fans. Cant imagine Emerton and Pedersen knowing how much these 2 sides hate each other.

Luckily Hughes was a player last time, so he will know just how much winning this means to us!

  2. Q Mag and Kerrang Radaghast wink.gif

cant argue with them, the true music people.

    so now can officially say.

    MUSE - BEST LIVE BAND

    whhhhooooooooo

Cant disagree with them winning that after seeing them at Glastonbury.

  3. Last couple of days it's ben Kasabian by Kasabian and Antics by Interpol. Two cracking albums.

Not got Interpol's yet but the Kasabian one is excellent.

Got the Kasabian, Modest Mouse and Interpol albums recently, they're all superb. Was the Interpol 1st album any good, Scotty?

Bought 'SMiLE' by Brian Wilson tonight, can't wait to listen to it....!

I know you werent asking me but Interpol's first album was superb would defo recommend that you get it! Have ordered the new one just waiting for it to arrive along with Ian Browns latest.

Love Kasabian's album, and the Music's new one.

  4. Johanson ? Never been given a decent run in the side of late so you van expect mistakes. The lad should be given a chance

    Why????

He played last night, and was bloody awful at best against Bouremouth! He had one good game last season against Man City. Every other time he's played he's been poor. He is simply not good enough!

Like i said, he hasnt been given a spell in the team.

When was the last time he started and finished say 6 games in a row for the 1st team?

What utter rubbish! This is a professional football club not a socialistic gathering! If you play well you play, if you play crap you dont, simple as that!

Wake up and smell the coffee Hughesy!

How often do you see players come out from the cold, get thrown into the team and play exceptional?

Not very often! It takes a few games to fit in again

Maybe not exceptional, but they at least put in a half decent performance if they want to keep their place in the team.

Against a second division team, with second division strikers, Johannson was utter rubbish! He isnt good enough!

  5. Who wrote that article in the LET: "You could do worse than Kenny"

    Summary of article:

    - Kenny is who we need, tried and tested, would get respect from players, but he screwed up since he left, and wouldn't really get that much respect. And I don't think we'll hire him, but he's just what we need.

    - George Graham is a discipliniarian with a great track record. We could do a lot worse than him.

    - But my number one choice is someone with no track record - Hughes.

I think the bottom line is everyone who's immediately available either has top-flight experience (but is tarnished in some way), or is rated highly (but has no top-flight experience) - whether this high-rating is the subject of media tittle-tattle or what I dunno. Of course you could get someone in from abroad who has top-level epxerience, but that might be seen as an added gamble. Worth bearing in mind that Wenger was managing Grampus Eight when Arsenal came in.

There's no one safe option in my mind.

  6. What a complete load of rubbish!

Who have Bolton spent money on? Bridges on a free, hasnt scored a goal in 3 years, and spend most of those 3 years injured, oh and Cisse from Birmingham, he oozes quality doesnt he!

Fulham have signed well no one.

Tottenham at the moment have again signed no one.

What do you want Rovers to do? Spend a fortune? What happens if we have a season like the last one (god forbid), we will just be digging ourselves into a right mess. Just look at Leeds!

We are not the big we used to be! Open your eyes!

  7. Concrete Blackburn-bid for Gamst'n this week

Blackburn will probably make a concrete bid of 1, 5 mill for Morten Gamst Pedersen. This may happen before the match against Wales.

Manager Graeme Souness is at the moment on vacation, and is therefore not available for a comment. But Chris Gorman at Blackburn press office confirms that Blackburn is keen on the player from Tromsø.

We haven’t made a formal offer yet, but it will probably happen soon Gorman says to Nordlys.

He says that Blackburn still have money to spend after Jack Walker, the man who injected millions into the club.

He says Souness have enough money to buy 3-4 new players this summer, if we got to sell a couple.

Nordlys: How much money are we talking about?

    Gorman: Up to 10 million.

Gorman doesn’t want to speculate on how much the club is willing to pay for Morten Gamst Pedersen. That is not my table he says.

Reporter Andy Neild from the local newspaper Lancashire Evening Telegraph believes that there will be a 1, 5 mill bid.

The way I see it, Blackburn have already suggested an offer on that size for Tromsø. It probably happened when Tromsøs secretary had a meeting with the chairman says Nield

He thinks that Blackburn will send an offer on paper to Tromsø during this week.

I don’t believe that Blackburn is willing to wait to 1. November, as I have understood is the wish at Tromsø. Souness wants new players this summer, so they can be ready when the season starts.

PS! Tromsos chairman Trygve Myrvang had not received at bid for Gamst Pedersen yesterday.

Chris Gorman whoever he is to be sacked?
