I think charlton need to score 2 more (own)goals for us to win.

Get in Arma.. Now how pogba would say it, "Blackburn should Attack, Attack, Attack"

No options but to attack. Lets see how we play now. Wishful thinking for a win but would take a home draw now to maintain our home record.

Why o why do we always have to be so dramatic? Why for once we cant see a match out comfortably. !!! This nail biting edge of the seat stuff is NOT good all the time.

For a change I would like to see us cause a rout. 4-1 Rovers :)

Two consecutive red marks for mulgrew. Interesting.

Thanks @tonyoz keep them coming. A couple of these down the season should really tell us how the players are progressing or regressing. Great Stuff.

A agree with the posters above. Their final goal was a total fluke. The guy meant to cross in the box as it was not hit with venomous power. He pulled the ball back a bit and just hit it with hope that someone would get to the end of it but it just went in. Nobody to blame for that goal. That was just hard luck. Cant even blame the guy for not pressing fast enough. While looking at it from a larger perspective, a point away from home wouldn't be bad at all but it seems like 2 points lost.

Watching the highlights closely I feel Williams more at fault for the first goal as compared to Mulgrew. Lenihan already had the man in front of him covered. There was a man behind Mulgrew and a man behind Williams (Who scored). Williams clearly thought Mulgrew was not in a position to take care of the front man as he was tracing back when the guy jumped in an attempt to head the cross. Which is why he rushed forward and jumped when the cross came in. Its different that the cross left both of them stranded and the Guy at the back scored from the header. My gripe with Williams is he should have trusted Mulgrew to take care of the man charging and stuck with the man behind him. Any thoughts?

1-0 we are playing long balls to the wings and the striker

Saw the highlights of the Liverpool game. Although it was a pre-season friendly, we need to improve a LOT. First half was decent very lucky to be 0-0. Second half we were cut open. The gulf in quality is huge considering the amount spent by Liverpool. Hopefully the game against Everton should give us a more realistic test of good quality championship opposition and where our team stands.

Does anyone else think Harry Kane is the next Wayne Rooney? Scored bag full of goals for the country but not during crucial games. They both had to drop back to collect the ball and were extremely poor in the final third.

Nyambe is fairly quick albeit not a very good footballer. The other two, particularly Ward, look like they're running through treacle. Not a fan of 3 at the back as I say - we're not exactly Chelsea. 4-4-2 for me.
We better do a Chelsea soon else TM is gone for sure. He only has a couple of games to know his starting 11 as well his formations and tactics. Also the players need to gel fairly quickly.

If Sunderland are in the top 6 at the end of the season, either their manager is a genius or that all of our managers have been crap

Fair play, although lets say Bowyer did get into play offs, played a full strength team in a meaningless game and we lost Gestede and Rhodes to injury/suspension I'd imagine moat would be disappointed we hadn't rested players.
Mind you I will say if there is no weakened team/rested players next week that does look a little dodge.
But the principle of squad rotation in this situation is ok Imo. Likewise before a big cup game I can see why a manager would want to rest a few players.
There is a difference between resting "key" players and resting the "entire" squad. That is what seems dodgy to me.

My understanding of Huddersfield fielding a B team can only be because they deliberately want to avoid Fulham in the playoffs. For the life of me, I cannot think of any other reasonable reason.
Lose both times in the league by heavy margins 5-0 and 4-1.

Well said. I am personally astonished that they've acted so quickly in bringing actual experience in. I can certainly get behind the new man but that doesn't mean that I support the owners anymore than before.
If our recent history at time taken in appointing managers is anything to go by, this is a surprisingly fast appointment.

Mowbray at Coventry 2014/15
Went in with 14 games to go. Aim - To keep them up.
P14 W5 D4 L5 Pts 19
4 Clean Sheets
4 of 5 victories away from home.
Lets say with the added game for Rovers he ends
P15 W5 D5 L5 Pts 20
Would 49 points keep us up?
If you consider the average points in the championship for the last 3 years, Yes but barely so.
-
Pretty fast appointment by our standards. Seems he was already lined up.

I hope this is a comeback .... wishful thinking

have the rovers won this season after being 1-0 down?

Hi,
I am a Football fan from Pune, India. Got interested in Blackburn rovers after Venky's took over. Trying to watch games on TV but only some of the championship games get broadcast here. Try to view as many Blackburn games as I can. Been following this forum for quite some time now. Hope to indulge myself in some good football discussions.

I would be over the moon if the ref gave us a penalty in extra time 😄
