  1. I blame comprehensive education and Playstations for the lack of humour, invention and wit.

Much more imagination and innovation employed in the 60's and 70's and much more spontaneity too. Sat was set up for a quick 'where's your incey gone?' to the tune of chirpy chirpy cheep cheep and 'Ruby , Ruby, Ruby' could be easily adapted too. 'Down with the North End' would've wound em up too. There's loads of opportunity for a spot of originallity now that we don't have to concentrate on the football as much. :rover:.

    Bump.

Whenever I manage to watch a game on TV I can hear the chants and sort of make out a tune, but I can never hear the words.

Can anybody update me with some more popular or new chants? Thanks

Edit: Also does 'Keep the red rose in my heart' ever get sung?

The one that is (was) very much in vogue during January was "Don't sell Rhodes, super Jordan Rhodes..." Pretty much drowned out every other chant at the games I went to in January!

  2. A great result, and from what I can tell a well played game. Nice to hear that some of our better players are beginning to play towards the best of their abilities. Hopefully we can keep it up for the last four games and start settling the ship ready for a promotion push next season. Also, I'll be going to the last four games and it would be good to actually see Rovers win again before the season is out!!

  3. Hi,

My name's Freddie. I'm a 24 year old London based Rovers fan. I started regularly going to away games mostly this season. I've been to 9 or 10 so far this season, the highlight being Peterborough away and watching Jordan Rhodes smashing in his hattrick. Low point, Huddersfield away, conceding a 90th minute equaliser after coming back from 1-0 down. Then having to complete a 14 hour round trip on the coach back to London overnight!

I mainly joined this forum to see if there were any other Rover's fans regularly going to games from London who fancied meeting up and travelling together/catching a pint or two before the games. Also, with the Millwall game around the corner and me going on my own I was hoping to possibly meet up with some other fans, probably in London Bridge to go the match with, as I know from experience that walking around Millwall as an away fan is not the greatest day out in the world.

Anyway, let me know if you fancy meeting up in London Bridge on Sunday, or for any other matches this season, I'm going to Ewood for the Blackpool game, Wednesday, Watford and Birmingham away.

    All the best,

    Freddie
